It was packed with fast-paced action, sharp heel work from the Revival, and big babyface comebacks from American Alpha, without feeling like a simple rehash of their previous match. It was so much fun watching these two young teams at this stage of their careers. The Revival regained the titles here, and the Authors of Pain made their debut afterward by destroying the freshly defeated American Alpha. ****1/2"

[9.0] "Superb match that's gradually become underrated, for my money. In fact, I'd argue that this might be the trilogy's best entry, laser focused and razor sharp. At not even 16 minutes, it's armed with a remarkable pace that still allows for the big match rhythm befitting this pairing. The ebbs and flows remain intact, they are just relentless, packed with purpose. I've seen this match described as a great finishing run and little else but that's entirely unfair to Alpha's extended shine, combining covers of The Rock 'n' Roll Express with a little Steiners tune to boot. Their momentum is ultimately halted by a sharp cutoff, with The Revival then taking over for their always pristine control segment. Then, of course, that finishing run indeed delivers, but it's the building blocks to that point which allow this to soar. Great match, a TakeOver classic. ****1/2"

Before rewatching this match for the first time sincd it happened, I always thought the Dallas match was better but I truely think that this is the better match. The small venue of Full Sail being invested from bell to bell, the southern style wrestling to the electirc 5 to 7 minute stretch; this is truely a masterclass of tag team wrestling. Both teams best match up to this point. 4.5/5 Stars"

[7.0] "The trilogy of matches these two teams have is a bit overrated, and I'm not exactly the biggest FTR/Revival fan anyway, but this match is still pretty good. Nearfalls are the star of this match, and American Alpha is at their best too. 3.5 Stars, and probably the best of the trilogy."

[7.0] "Their first match was pretty good, with both teams giving nice respective face/heel performances and working well together. This rematch was more of a sprint and also much more evenly match, but it still captured that exact same engaging heels-vs-babyface story, allowing it to feel like the logical next chapter in their feud while still being distinct as a standalone performance. I again must emphasise just how much more exciting and compelling FTR/The Revival are when committing to their roles as bully heels with the IRL goal of making their babyface opponents look good, since that allows their more basic and classic looks, style, and strategies to feel far more natural than when they try to channel that all towards a babyface role, which I usually find quite jarring. Whereas their first match saw AA get a bit of early shine but then be heavily dominated for ages, this rematch saw AA presented as far more on The Revival's level, putting up a much bigger fight each time they were being controlled and finding far greater and more consistent success in evading or countering The Revival's aggressive control work and cheap tricks, and doing so with some very endearing displays of intensity, durability, and also new-found confidence, all of which helped them appeal more strongly to the fans. Dash and Dawson's aggressive control work was again really enjoyable, especially because -- since they were full heels here -- they could afford to be far more mean and nasty with their dominance than what they'd usually give us as the babyface FTR in AEW these days. Although they initially struggled with their usual cheap tricks and cheating attempts, they smartly stuck to their guns and it eventually paid off by allowing them to begin dominating Gable and isolating him from Jordan in similar fashion to their first match. Gable was again quite sympathetic as the face-in-peril and quite endearing in his fiery comebacks, and it was also again quite compelling seeing the twists and turns as Gable's various hope spots and attempted tags to Jordan were constantly teased only to be cut off at the last second in such variously different ways, making it naturally quite cathartic and exciting once Jordan *finally* got the hot tag and got to run wild with all his sweet suplexes and exciting general displays of athleticism. The match became more exciting after Jordan's hot tag, with both teams then working at a faster and more exciting pace as they rapidly traded control with their sudden counters and run-ins, and the mixture of 'clean' babyface offence from AA and 'dirty' heel tactics from The Revival was really cool, allowing for a nice variety of spots and sequences that were all totally different from the last. While I liked the pacing of this match more than their first, especially in the final 1/3rd, I did feel that it ended too abruptly, and they probably should've gone on for another few minutes to really get the most out of the trajectory they were on. ***1/4"

[9.0] "Another great match between these two teams. The contrast between this and their previous match is interesting. Where that one felt like a showcase of The Revival as resourceful heels, this one felt like it placed the spotlight on American Alpha and gave them the chance to demonstrate what an energetic babyface tandem they were. It's such a shame that these two didn't get the chance to develop in to the all time classic tag team that they seemed to have the potential to be, because they looked terrific here."

[9.0] "A marvelous rematch from TakeOver: Dallas which gave the better of the best. The flow was completely frantic with the moves being crafty and unique than their previous outing. But at the end, the impression they left is as magnanimous as last time. American Alpha is one of my favorites to step in and embrace the golden side of tag team wrestling as well as The Revival. I wished AA to last longer in the scene, but the polarizing "son of Angle" story shattered my ambitions of seeing them thrive as one of the greats. The debut of Authors of Pain was done well as the newbies make a statement destroying the fan favorites. 4.5 out of 5 stars!"

[9.0] "Was a big fan of their first match but this is even better. It had the same wild energy and pace of the first one but introduced an interesting narrative and even more creative, crazier sequences. American Alpha were so dominant here owning the Revival with so many cool moves and posing. The Revival had to smarten up and coordinate their action to turn the tide. A simple story but a nice one. The match is almost tropeless, they are just going out there and doing unpredictable shit that you aren't expecting and don't see very often. That is what I love in wrestling."

[7.0] "These two teams had a pretty good match at Takeover: Dallas, and this match was just as good. And it wasn't the exact same match, as there were plenty of different spots, so the variety was a good thing. The only downside to this match was a completely illogical referee distraction spot."

[8.0] "I loved this so much, more than others I reckon. The Revival are possibly my favourite tag team, they are so great and have such great heel tactics. I am never bored in their matches and that is a skill that many heel tag teams cannot achieve. American Alpha were so great, obviously as well (****)."

[10.0] "The first match between these two teams was fantastic, a modern tag team classic. This match, however, is a tag team classic in its own right, no qualifiers. These two teams showed a ton of fire and ability here, especially for 4 young wrestlers in what is still a developmental brand. The counters, the nearfalls, the strikes, the submissions, the tags, the fucking NEARFALLS in this match, good lord. This match had more moments that could've been the finish than anything I've seen in a while, at the very least this year. The Revival are incredible heels, American Alpha are incredibly likable faces, Jason Jordan is the best hot tag in the business right now, Chad Gable is one of the brightest young stars in the business today, and the chemistry between everybody in the match is palpable. Too many great spots to recall, and a surprising title change off of a great finish that allows for American Alpha to come up to the main roster in time for the Brand Split. A truly flawless match. *****"

[9.0] "American Alpha and The Revival are part of two of my favourite tag team matches in WWE this year. This one was great by every standard of the definition. There were lots of tag team spots, lots of near falls, lots of face-heel dynamic moments. Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are stars in their own right and probably the best tag team in WWE right now. The Revival are ring generals and easily up there with American Alpha. In my opinion, this was a better match than Dallas, although the crowd and the setting in Dallas may make that match feel bigger. I was pleasantly surprised by the result though."

I'm surprised of the quality, many reversals, a most classic approach by the Revival. [5.0] "I don't get the hype at all about this as it was mostly big moves and nearfalls. It was good don't get me wrong but I just don't see where this classic stuff is coming from. It was great at the end but the match as a whole wasn't "GREAT". Crowd was hot for it but Gable wasn't a vet convincing FIP for me and Jordan was good here but The Revival really shined here as they outsmarted Jordan & Gable and won as a result. Good but decent at best for me. (**1/2)"
