That sin cara spot rough ngl. I felt like Sami Zayn maybe should have won in my opinion. Kevin frogsplash to sami looked good. Zack winning was fine but why have miz win on raw then."

[9.0] "This was one hell of a match with immaculate vibes. I think what made it really special was that besides Owens and Sami, who were clearly on their way to stardom, this was a match made up of mostly midcard guys that the audience had watched lose for years. WrestleMania 32 gave these guys the chance to go out there, kill it, and each have their moment to shine in front of a massive crowd. What I loved most was that unlike most WrestleMania ladder matches, where it's usually built around endless dangerous high spots, this one was all about the emotional moments. Sure, you may remember Sami almost decapitating Owens in that insane ladder spot, but you'll also remember Cody honoring his late Dad with the polka dot ladder. You'll remember the long-time rivals Owens and Sami reigniting their never-ending rivalry on the grandest stage of them all. You'll remember Zack Ryder pulling off one of the greatest upset wins ever and celebrating with his Dad in the middle of the ring. Wrestling is all about moments, and this MOTYC is full of them!"

[8.0] "I love stadium ladder matches, probably the match type with the highest floor. Really cool spots. The KO and Sami face-off in the beginning is awesome, as the their story throughout the entire match."

[8.0] "Another year another great ladder match. Similar to the year before some great spots. More surprisingly Ryder won this one."

[10.0] "This is exactly how a ladder match should be in my opinion. To kickoff Wrestlemania. All competitors gives their all for the match. Well produced. And most importantly, unpredictable. This match had all of that and more. I was as surprised as everyone when Zack Ryder of all people won and felt so happy for him in that "moment" (iykyk). KO and Sami were clearly the MVPs of the match. Another great part of the match was that each move after the other made sense. Whoever produced this match hopefully got their appreciation."

[7.0] "Amazing match with a heap of cool spots. Sin Cara jumping off the ladder onto Stardust through another ladder, Zack Ryder elbow drop from the top of the ladder. And Sami Zayn putting Kevin Owens into the ladder was crazy. Dolph Ziggler superkicks are so good. Everyone had a cool spot as well, with the finish being great with The Miz show boating and Zack Ryder getting that win last second was so good."

[8.0] "A very good opener to this show. One of the better opening matches of WrestleMania ever. The only thing is, Zack Ryder should've gotten a longer reign with the Intercontinental Championship instead of losing it the following night on Raw back to the Miz."

[10.0] "***** (10/10) For a WrestleMania that was universally panned, it started off with one of the biggest, chaotic marvels of a bang to ever start off a Mania card. And look at the star power of the future: Sami Zayn! The American Nightmare! Kevin Owens! Miz and Nic Nemeth! Sin-Cara did his thing which is always cool in style - rather than substance. But the man of the hour was Mr. One-hit-wonder himself: Zack Ryder. Sure, he lost the belt shortly after, but what an Un-Vince move to pull by book the least-expected to be on top of the ladder at the end of the match. If you're a fan of today's WWE, and love ladder matches, oh, this match is definitely for you."

[8.0] "Very similar opener comparing to the edition a year before. Zyder's win was a really cool moment and probably the biggest highlight of his WWE career."

[8.0] "first match of the entire show ends up being the match of the night. I love this match always love giving it a rewatch man. I do feel that the moment of ryder winning was awesome but if he was only gonna have a one day title run why not just give it to someone you'd be more confident holding the title and just have owens hold onto it or give it to sami. 4.25 stars"

[8.0] "A very good ladder match (about as good as the one from the previous year's WrestleMania). Everyone got their spot to shine, but the real story was the Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn rivalry. I was rooting for Sami, to be honest, and it seemed like the crowd were very ready for him to win this one too. But still, I can't say I was disappointed with Zack Ryder winning. At the end of the day, the match was good enough that the result didn't matter too much. Great spots throughout."

[9.0] "What a ladder match and what a moment after the match. Everyone killed it in this match and like I said the ending was unexpected. Zack Ryder winning was just amazing and gave Zack a moment he'll never forget."

[5.0] "I though this was okay. Not as good as the ladder match at 31, and I am not as big of a fan of that one as others are. Only positives I really see from this is Ryder getting a fun Wrestlemania moment and the work of Sami and Kevin. The last time we see Cody Rhodes at Wrestlemania for half a decade too."

[9.0] "Shock moment with Zach Ryder winning but considering his reign only made it till smackdown was this entire match really worth it. Plenty of cool spots as you'd expect to see in a Wrestlemania ladder match but was kinda quite tame compared to 31's in my opinion(i really loved that Dusty Rhodes polka-dot ladder tho). Again, great moment with Zach winning the title at Mania(EDIT: I'm kinda sleeping on this, match was insane and everyone got their shit in and looked great)"

[9.0] "This is one of my more favorite matches. I feel like every man involved had a huge part in this match. Sin Cara getting pushed off the ladder onto the springboard dive was awesome. I really liked how they showcased the rivalry between KO and Sami throughout the whole match. This was a really fun match with some of my favorites and Ryder being the underdog and winning it was great."

[10.0] "Wrestlemania ladder matches are always goated, this one is awesome aswell. When you watch it again, you realise how stacked the match is. Brilliant and really impressive spots, great tension, wonderful moment for Zack, the real ultimate underdog."

[10.0] "It was such a really fantastic ladder match over the IC title with so many fantastic spots from everyone involved and Ryder winning the thing was an amazing moment at the time."

[8.0] "This was probably the best match of the show. All the spots and sub stories within this match were awesome. The finish was perfectly executed with Miz stalling and Ryder capitalizing on him."

[4.0] "I thought this was fine. Not as good as the previous IC Ladder match from 31. wasn't a big fan of Ryder winning here as it really didn't do anything for him in the long run and Realistically it's not like he was built up for the win in any shape or form. Again another issue with Vince's booking of his own company through his later years. Really liked the stuff with Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn which started the build for their main roster banger at Battleground a few months later. Also weird to think this was Cody Rhodes last Wrestlemania as Stardust and his last mania until 6 years later in the same stadium"

[7.0] "Always the highlight of a Wrestlemania when done well, which this one was. Some crazy spots, Owen's frog splash, Sami's back suplex to Owens and Sin Cara being pushed off the ladder being my personal favourites. I think everyone had a great showing especially Sami and Kevin. A great choice of winner and a perfect way to start a show"

Zack Ryder winning just for the sake of a Snickers commercial later in the show makes this whole thing feel like a joke, especially considering he lost the title the next night."

[9.0] "Great ladder match to start off a horrible WrestleMania. Zack Ryder winning was just great aswell, even if the reign lasted a day."

[8.0] "This was a fast-paced and fun ladder match with a really hot crowd. There were a lot of awesome spots here and Ryder's win was a cool feel-good moment. ****"

[9.0] "This is the perfect way to open a PPV. I've always thought the ladder match is the perfect stipulation for an opener, and this match demonstrated it. 15 minutes without a moment of pause, full of great spots and even some internal storytelling. I was very happy for Zack Ryder's victory, who has been given a Wrestlemania moment in front of his father"

Stardust paying tribute to Dusty Rhodes, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn going at it, Miz playing a cocky heel, Sin cara going crazy, Dolph Ziggler superkicking the shit out of everyone and finally Zack Ryder winning and having a great emotional moment with his dad. Everyone got something and overall made for a fun and enjoyable ladder match. [****]"

"Much better IC Title Ladder Match than the previous years...this one was fantastic. From Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn trying to destroy themselves, to the comedy elements from Stardust, Sin Cara being Sin Cara, and The Miz being a heel. And of course the ending where Zack takes the IC Title. Loved this match. 8/10/****"

[10.0] "One of the best multi-man Ladder match in WWE history if you ask me because there aren't many that I can think of that I liked as much as this one which I honestly think was absolutely perfect, I don't see how it's possible for this match to be so underrated on this site and I don't see what could be wrong with it either as everything was fantastic from the first minute to the last. I can understand that this kind of spotfest doesn't appeal to everyone so I'm not here to judge the tastes of the fans, some may not like the Ladder matches and that's all to their credit but personally it's one of my favourite stipulations and if there's one thing this company knows how to book wonderfully ; it's these multi-match matches that we used to see in the openers of every WrestleMania before the tradition stopped. This one is one of the best we've ever seen in that regard with everyone performing at a high level, everyone shining and everyone getting their moment. Some were more in the spotlight than others like Zayn & Owens who were the major elements of the match in my humble opinion but everyone got their spot, we got to see a lot of creative stuff on top of that and some of them took some pretty hard bumps. Respect to all these guys for this incredible effort, the match was of phenomenal quality and Zack Ryder's WrestleMania moment was so beautiful at that time."

[10.0] "Perfect ladder match and great PPV opener. The action was magnificent, I popped for the Polka Ladder in hommage of Dusty, Loved the Kevin and Sami feud, and having Zack Ryder having one last highlight in WWE will always mean something to me."

[8.0] "As someone who's been a fan of them since they were tearing it up on the indies, it warmed my heart seeing Zayn and Owens doing the same spots from their PWG ladder classic, only this time they're doing in front of 100, 000 people. Stardust brings out his own personalized ladder again, only this time it's a tribute to recently departed Dusty Rhodes. Ryder wins by creeping up on Miz as he's about to take the title. Although Zayn and Owens were much more over than him, Ryder winning by taking out the biggest heel was a smart way to stop the fans from turning on another face. The massive crowd is super hot to kick things off and this car crash opener was exactly what they needed to kick off the main show."

[10.0] "This match is perfect. Everyone has their spot, their moment, the epic unweighted ending and the various jumps on the ladder, this match is very enjoyable and its spots are epic. Undoubtedly the ones who had the most time on screen were Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, but the wrestler who showed off the most was No Face, with 2 spots of him launching from the stairs. This match was epic, but the ending was the best."

[6.0] "Fun spotfest with some crazy moves, callbacks to old feuds, and Ryder getting his big moment in the sun. This wasn't going to be a bout filled with nuance or psychology and was a good opener that got the crowd set up for the night, with Ryder overcoming the odds and defeating the main prediction to win Miz to get the title. Nothing really special but it was a easy watch."

[8.0] "This was a very good spotfest, that more than served it's purpose in being the hot opener for the show. Everybody got some time to shine - Ziggler with his Superkick sequence, Owens & Zayn with them destroying each other, Sin Cara with his two big dives, Stardust with the polka dot ladder homage to Dusty & then Ryder with his victory, which was a very nice, feel-good moment out of nowhere. ***1/2"

[7.0] "Good match. Bit spot heavy I must say with but the spots were pretty rad tbh. Zayn's Half and half suplex onto the ladder was wicked. ***1/2"

[10.0] "Maybe my favorite Wrestlemania opener of all time. Fast pace, crazy spots and a hot crowd. This was a great match."

[10.0] "I absolutely loved this match, and call it the match of the year. The actionwas magnificent and daring, with everybody getting a chance to shine. The details were amazing, such as the Polka Ladder in hommage of Dusty that garnered a huge reaction. The visceral hatred between Kevin and Sami drove the match and provided the most brutal moment. The absolute apotheosis came when the devilish Miz was twarted, and the underdog hero Zack Ryder got his moment in the sun, for a formidable crowd reaction and a glorious celebration. I call this the best match of the night, maybe the year, and a severely underappreciated masterpiece."

[8.0] "This was one of the better WWE-style ladder match stunt shows, with many of those involved going the extra mile to give the fans a memorable match."

[9.0] "High-octane energy from the opening bell, this was a hell of an opening bout. Each wrestlers' hunger and drive popped on screen. The match did well to divvy up big moments, from Ziggler going on a tear to Stadust paying tribute to The American Dream to Owens being a beast throughout. Ryder's big win would have been more powerful had he been a non-entity for so long. He was clearly a Neville replacement after the Englishman's injury. Had WWE hinted at this result weeks ago and played up Ryder's underdog status beforehand more, his victory would have dug deeper into the audience's heart."

[8.0] "A fun ladder match with a feel good ending ruined by a title change the next night, still a good match."

[8.0] "There were four Superstars with a rightful claim to the Intercontinental Championship for weeks, and along the way they made four enemies from the lower card that wanted the title just as bad. Everybody brought their creatively violent streaks to an already frenetic type of match and played their roles beautifully. By the end of the match we got more fuel to the Sami Zayn vs Kevin Owens feud and an unlikely yet deserving winner. This was very enjoyable all the way through."

[8.0] "Good spotfest. The elbow drop was pretty nice along with a couple of other spots. Unexpected ending."

[8.0] "Good old spotfest. I have to say that the match seemed a bit rushed, but it's understandable because of the shortage of time given. Some cool spots here and there, Zack Ryder's Elbow Drop was epic. The crowd was on fire during the match. All in all, it's a good opener, for sure, but nothing special really."

[8.0] "Not the greatest ladder match of all time or anything, but a very good one with a couple of very memorable moments. The Dusty Rhodes ladder, Sin Cara stealing the show, KO/Zayn (everything about it), Miz reminding us a true heel can exist in these things, Ziggler doing his ode to Shawn Michaels, and Zack Ryder coming out of nowhere to win the match made this very exciting and enjoyable."

[7.0] "Seen it all before. Sami was the star in this match. Ryder winning was a legitimate surprise even if it is 4 years too late to mean anything."

[9.0] "Absolutely great Ladder match, every moment has a meaning. There is the ladder homage to Dusty Rhodes, some reminds to older Ladder matches and a Sweet Chin Music by Ziggler. The final spot on Owens is epic and the winner choice is weird but it has another meaning. I really like this Ladder match. ****1/4"
