[6.0] "The last few minutes of this are electric and Daniel Bryan looks straight up like the best wrestler in the world in them, but before that it feels on the weaker side of The Shield's six man tag matches from this time. There's a pretty high floor to these matches so that's really not a big insult but I see this as more of a great moment than a great match personally."

The crowd was hot though will give it that which was rare during this time but I think they was starved of anything decent and Shield 0 going was a big moment."

[7.0] "[3.5*] Very important match because this was the 1st ever Shield loss in 3-on-3 matches. It was mad fun, specially for the last 5 minutes, when the crowd completely embraced Bryan and he did an electric comeback sequence. Loved the story that the Shield tried to isolate their opponents but were completely countered for the first time. The RKO on Rollins was beautiful and Bryan was just tremendous there. I would preferred it if it was a little bit longer tho, still great."

The final sequence in this match was insane (and this was pretty awesome from the moment Daniel Bryan stepped back into the match towards the end). Maybe it could've been a bit longer, but this was another great TV match for WWE around this time. I jumped out my seat like crazy during the last 5 minutes."

[9.0] "Superb match. It had the big fight feel to it and the crowd made it even better. The Shield never dominated the match except for the first few mins. Daniel Bryan was tremendous in this match. The final sequence is one of the best ever endings to a tag team match. Kane chokeslamming Dean into Roman and then pushing Rollins into an amazing RKO and Bryan applying the yes lock to make Rollins tap out...damn it was beautiful. Lilian Garcia's post match announcement added to the legendary moment that was just created. Great non stop action with great storytelling."

[9.0] "This is a pretty underrated moment in WWE history. All of the building up of the shield as an unbeaten team in 6 man competition culminates here. This is also different from a usual Shield 6 man tag, and they aren't really able at any point to isolate one of Orton, Bryan or Kane. When Bryan comes in for the tag at the end the crowd is going completely ballistic and the action goes up to a tee. The shield here finally wasn't able to have the match come down to the numbers game, and that's why they ended up losing. Their loss got a huge pop, and Michael Cole/Lillian Garcia also had perfect reactions to the loss.****1/4"

[6.0] "It is a match that is carried by the final few minutes. It is a really great final minutes, and as far as TV main events go, this is probably one of the best. Expecting an absolute classic on weekly programming is far too high of a bar to give to any wrestling company, so a 6/10 for this is actually really good. By the standards of television wrestling, it's fantastic."

[7.0] "The final phase was truly incredible, especially Randy Orton's super Rko followed immediately by Bryan's Yes Lock, but the rest of the match was enough, nothing more than a usual 6-man tag team match. In addition, I just can't understand the choice to make the shield lose in a regular smackdown episode."

[7.0] "Jesus fucking Christ what a match that was. The six of them had the crowd on the palm of their hands for 100% of the match and made everyone go crazy every single minute. The build for this match is just great and makes it more intense, also, the closing stretch is simply amazing and insane. ***3/4"

[9.0] "A great match, but even more of a great moment in time. The last few minutes with the action being super chaotic & the urgency being through the roof, the babyfaces systematically getting rid of The Shield & ultimately getting the victory, them reacting to that big W accordingly & Lilian Garcia's fantastic announcement of "... for the FIRST TIME EVER in a 6-man tag team contest, The Shield HAS been DEFEATED! " -- it's just goosebumps worthy stuff. The match layout is pretty different from the usual by The Shield lads too; it feels like they never get a full-on groove going, sure there's a couple of FIP segments, but they're all very short & not as organized n' tight as usually with them. Every time a member of the babyface team was in trouble, he tagged a fresh man in as fast as he could. It's some fantastic storytelling. As Michael Cole fantastically put it, this was not like every other night."

Kane sidestepping Roman's signature spear into the barricade and choke-slamming Ambrose onto him, taking them out, leaving Rollins to be easy pickings. They learned their lessons and won as a result. The rest of the match was usually chaotic Shield match. ****"

[8.0] "Another match I can admit was made better by the atmosphere Bryan brought with him. Not to say the match wasn't good at all because it really was. Kane and Orton looked great with Bryan being the obvious star of the match actually taking out all the members of the Shield at one point. The crowd going nuts after Bryan wins the match is just the cherry on top, ****1/4."

[8.0] "This bout occurred on the Smackdown prior to the ‘Payback’ PPV, and as ‘The Shield’ had dominated WWE, including Team Hell No & Orton, in matches past, the bookers evidently felt the faces needed some shine to make it appear that they could win in their respective title matches at the PPV. This was a much shorter bout than most of the house show/TV wars these men had had, only about ten minutes of TV time, and unlike most did not feature an extended workover on ‘Weak link’ Daniel Bryan. There was nothing particularly special during the first seven minutes, but the last three are very strongly choreographed as it became apparent when Kane dodged a hard-charging RR spear, and then threw Ambrose on top of him near the ‘protected’ timekeepers table, that the faces, mainly my cheers was for D Bry, were actually going to win. There was no doubt to my, or many fans’ minds, that at that point the brightest star in WWE was Daniel Bryan and it’s clear looking back that indeed his force was larger and most in-sync w/ the crowd of anyone on the roster. He had undeniable ‘It’ then and it’s a shame the WWE never captured it to its full potential. (The guy was on the World Series Champion’s celebration float, his chant was on SI’s cover, and WWE gave him little acknowledged pub for this. ) Bryan hooked on the ‘Yes’ lock for the submission after an errant SR SE top-jump into a RKO. This first victory over ‘The Shield’ in six-man action should have been on a PPV but it was relegated to the ‘B’ show…a crying shame. 7. 75"

[9.0] "It's really nice of WWE to give Smackdown moments every now and the Shield's first defeat could have been built up a little bit more, perhaps having somebody trying to break their streak with various combinations of people. The match is so good though that it's really a minor complaint. The crowd is really great and Daniel Bryan plays a vital part in this victory during his "weak link" storyline."

[9.0] "Awesome TV match. Especially for long-forgotten SmackDown. Big props to Daniel Bryan for amazing perfomances. He's definitely not the weak link. Well, no weak links in their team in this match. The ending was perfect, a nice way to beat The Shield for the first time. The crowd was okay. Can't say nothing more just because of WWE's stupid crowd sounds. Even though we haven't seen something new from these wrestlers, they absolutely killed it (that RKO... ). Brilliant!"
