[10.0] "One of the best ladder matches ever, a superb brawl between Taker and Kennedy with a huge bump, a visually exciting Inferno match which was done well and a even more visually exciting Lingerie contest! Terrific show all around. Only weak part was Miz/Boogey but it was a come down match and was very short so it fit the PPV still."

[9.0] "Miz Vs Boogeyman and that whole Christmas Diva segment were all a load of nonsense, but Kane Vs MVP inferno, Benoit Vs Chavo, Helms Vs Yang, and Batista and Cena Vs Booker and Finlay were all really solid, and the WWE Tag Title fatal four way ladder match was really phenomenal. Overall WWE Armageddon (2006) is a truly a consistent and fantastic show."

[6.0] "Very close to a 7 point show for me. I can see myself coming back and raising this event at some point. But the boring and lackluster main event combined with a random Boogeyman squash and a terrible women's segment stopped me from getting to 7 points. The ladder match steals the show, and I consider it required watching. The other two stipulation matches do a great job as well, although they don't exactly get the younger talent over. The rest is all solid. This show never really dips for long periods of time, so it is a really good show to throw on when you feel like watching a whole event. After a pretty poor 2006, this was a fantastic show to close the year on."

[6.0] "Nothing really stood out, but everything here was at least decent in terms of work and only Helms vs Yang suffered from the crowd not really caring. Everything else was fun to watch. Kane vs MVP was surprisingly a decent Inferno Match, the Ladder Match grew on me as it was going on and in the end I enjoyed my time with it, Benoit vs Chavo was alright, although I still expected a little more from this pairing and Taker vs Kennedy could have used more blood earlier, but it was still their best match up to date. And then the main event was simple and it felt more like a RAW/SmackDown main event, but the quality was still there and the crowd was into it. So a fine show, which could have excluded Miz vs Boogeyman and the divas' bollocks, but at least these parts were kept short."

[5.0] "Apart from the Ladder Match that was probably 2006 Match of the Year, this event was nothing special. The Main Event for exemple is ok but not PPV worthy, should happen os Smackdown instead."

[7.0] "1) ***1/4 Inferno matches simply can't be very good because they aren't free to move, so it was decent for what they could do. For sure it was 100 times better than the one at Summerslam years later. 2) ****1/2 Probably the best choice Teddy Long has ever made. It was the last great spotfest in WWE. 3) NR 4) ***1/4 To this day it gives me goosebumps but not in a good way: 6 months later he became exactly what Chavo and Vickie accused him to be in storyline. It's quite scary. 5) *** Decent, nothing more. 6) ***1/2 Best match of their feud 7) **1/2 I don't really remember why they did this match as nobody cared. A 3 way for Batista's title would have been a better choice. With a great main event this could have been a pretty great show, but it was the worst instead. Among fire, ladders and hearse It's an easy watch."

[5.0] "I'm surprised people think this show is good, as I felt it's merely average. Ladder match is great, one of the best matches of 2006, of course most people remember it for Mercury's injury which is gruesome. The main event isn't a terrible match, but a completely pointless tag match should not be main eventing a ppv. Inferno match is pretty crap in terms of actual in ring action, but it is a very cool visual. Benoit/Chavo is a solid match, Taker/Kennedy is probably their best match together but still not great. Boogeyman/Miz is terrible, but thankfully very short. Cruiserweight match is ok, but no one cares. Definition of an average show."

[6.0] "This is one of those events where I don't agree with the ratings. It's not well build and there are a few of worthy matches, with many boring parts. The main event never delivered, the Ladder match was brilliant and Undertaker vs Kenney had a couple of nice spots. Chavo vs Benoit was acceptable, Helms vs Yang a big disappointment."
