[6.0] "A notable step up from the show the prior day, with the semi-main-event and main-event being strong recommendations. It's a shame that -- as has become custom for DGUSA shows in this period -- a good portion of the show was merely 'fine' filler. Cannon vs Moxley was pretty damn forgettable. **1/4. The 6-Way Elimination match had good comedy from Ichikawa, and some decent spotfest work from the others. Quite boring when it was Jacobs in focus, though. **3/4. Yoshino vs Callihan was fine. Great speed and signature grappling from Yoshino, and pure, deranged power from Callihan. Not the most interesting chemistry. **3/4. Pac vs Tozawa didn't have anything beyond what I expected, but it was all still quite good. The opening was relatively slow and uneventful, but the intensity eventually came out on both sides. Tozawa's charismatic and energy was fun, as was Pac's domineering control work. Their exchanges and spots slowly became more impactful and creative while their pace increased. Their big 50/50 were likewise good. ***1/4. Yamato vs Aries was a low-key great match. Their chemistry was always on-point, allowing both men to impress while mixing all their signature spots together into a cohesive performance. Their seriousness made for a captivating atmosphere, as they were both clearly desperate to smash the other and put them away. All the big-move trades in the second half were great, especially their faster-paced ones, some of which were truly fantastic. This didn't reach the highs of DG/DGUSA's best matches, but that's a high level to reach, and they still did a great job attempting to do so. ***3/4 - ****. Ronin vs Blood Warriors was really good, but I felt the latter did most of the heavy lifting. Ronin were mostly just too goofy and melodramatic with their character work, plus their offence was far less flashy, impactful, and clean compared to Blood Warriors. Their tag spots were at least pretty good. Cima, Doi, and Ricochet were just *far* more interesting, from their grimy and entertaining heel work to their creative tag spots. Ricochet's stunts were great as always, while Doi and Cima were exciting with their natural charisma and speedy all-rounder work. The spotfest style slowly improved as the match went on, with Blood Warriors in the driver's seat to ensure the exchanges and big spots were always executed cleanly. ***1/2"
