[8.0] "A pretty surprising PPV in terms of quality, it had several WrestleMania rematches that were better than the originals, Mysterio vs Rhodes, Del Rio vs Christian in a ladder match, Kingston winning the US title and the triple threat steal cage match were truly entertaining, among the best WWE shows of 2011."

[6.0] "To be honest, I found the event rather average. Nothing special, though I can understand why it's a retrospective, mainly because of Christian's coronation, Michelle McCool's retirement, and Cody Rhodes' run, but the matches themselves were pretty average with a few highlights that, while noteworthy, didn't make it an event I'd recommend, but it was certainly enjoyable."

[10.0] "Giving this a 10 and not because of the in-ring action which was probably fine. The most important thing that happened this night was that Our Hero (John Cena) got to announce to the world that Osama Bin Laden had been compromised to a permanent end. USA! USA!"

[7.0] "7/10 after the most awful wrestlemania probably, a ppv where the main event was an upgrade from the worst mania main event ever, and a mid card showing the backlash on the wrestlemania. I liked the show pretty much until i saw the country whipping match. never liked it, but i thanked god it wasnt a half an hour crap. The falls count anywhere match was pretty good, followed by the retirement of one of the best womens superstar of that time, the deadmans wife. The ladder match was the best match of the night for me, the lumberjack was fairly average, and the main event felt like it was a main event. The event ending with cena as the 10 time champion was definitely a big thing. In a nutshell, a great ppv in the face of the bad wrestlemania, after which things got a little better, including the best mitb ppv i have ever watched."

[5.0] "A right down the middle PPV event. Serviceable was what I thought the entire time I watched this show. Not a single thing on this card really captured my interest, but nothing bored me or made me angry either, besides the obviously downer that was the Cole vs. Lawler tag match. Overrated is definitely another word I'd use to describe it. Some of these matches look like they should be dream matches or legendary bouts on paper, but they barely deliver on what you'd expect. My gripes aside, this was a fine show, but I'd hesitate to call it anything more than fine."

[8.0] "Just like Backlash 2000, the ppv that Wrestlemania shoulda have been. Two great world title matches, a very good opener and some quality undercard matches thrown in too. I see there's a lesson they didn't learn from Wrestlemania tho and gave the commentators another fucking stinker of a match, and another one at Over the Limit. At least Cole's commentary isn't THAT annoying here."

[8.0] "I really want to rate it higher, just for the Ladder match itself, but I can't when looking at the overall picture. The opening Last man Standing match was pretty fun, Orton and Punk went on a bit too long but they did a good job for most of the match. Kofi vs Sheamus was a fine Tables match, while Jack Swagger & Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler & Jim Ross can fuck off. Rey vs Cody was also fun and featured some nice storytelling. It? s a shame that Layla and Michelle McCool were only given 5 minutes for their loser leaves town match, but they made the most of it, and McCool put Kharma over on her way out. As I said, the Ladder match was great and the finish still gives me tears to this day. Kane & Show vs The Corre was just there to fill time before the main event Steel Cage match which, you know what was pretty good. They used the cage well, though the interference from Truth sucked the life out of the crowd. Also, another point that makes the show is under a 9 is how dreadful the commentary team is throughout the event."

[9.0] "This is a really good ppv with matches like punk vs orton, cody vs rey, christian vs del rio, and the steel cage match were all great"

[6.0] "A disaster this PPV, some interesting matches even if there is too much bad stuff. The finish of the matches are so uninteresting especially for a post-WrestleMania PPV"

[7.0] "That was a solid PPV. The Last man standing , Falls count anywhere , Ladder match and Steel cage are all goods."

Overall great show. Orton Vs Punk, Mysterio Vs Rhodes, Christian Vs Del Rio, and the Triple Threat were all very good. Table match was good. The womens match was okay. Both of the tag team matches were very bad. 9/10."

[9.0] "If this was the card presented in Atlanta for Wrestlemania (with Undertaker/HHH also on it) it would have made for one of the more fun Wrestlemanias in recent years. Each match linked to Wrestlemania on this card was better than their Wrestlemania counterparts including Orton/Punk, Rey/Cody, Christian/ADR, and the Cage Match. Even the tables match and women's match were enjoyable for what they were. Very fun PPV with an energetic Tampa crowd."

[9.0] "Extreme Rules continues it's streak of being one of the most consistent WWE PPVs of the year once again as they delivered a great show here that definitely picked up the slack from Wrestlemania. Not only is this show chock full of great gimmick matches though, it's also quite the feel-good show with Christian finally achieving his dream with his best friend looking on and Cena solidifying his spot in the WWE history books with his 10th WWE title win. Extremely entertaining show, Thumbs Up."
