[1.0] "An unbelievably awful WrestleMania. HHH/Taker was excellent but that's it for positives, Edge/Del Rio, Orton/Punk and Cody/Rey were all decent but underwhelming and not at the level of a show they advertised as the Biggest WrestleMania Ever. You then have 3 of the absolute worst WrestleMania matches ever, 3 0/10's with Lawler/Cole being right up there with my least favourite matches of all time, and one of the worst Mania main events ever. The Taker match wasn't that much of a stone cold classic that could come within a million miles of saving this show the way Michaels/Taker did the year before; and that show didn't have 3 absolute DUDs."
Kugenesan1 wrote on 27.02.2026:
[2.0] "Easily on of the worst manias in history. Edge/Alberto was mid. Cody/Rey was solid. 8 man tag was a breeze. Randy/Punk was surprisingly slower than I remembered. Lawler/King belongs in the trash. Taker/HHH was iconic. Co main was surprising in terms of Snooki pulling off a cartwheel. Was not expecting that from her. Miz was the only good in that main event."
[1.0] "There's a couple of decent stuff on here but the only thing that REALLY gives this a point is Triple H vs Taker. The rest was terrible. Tag matches that could've been on a literal episode of raw and a AWFUL main event. This show felt like an episode of Raw in a stadium. That's how bad it was."
brooksavage2004 wrote on 28.01.2026:
[2.0] "When they've reached 27 WrestleManias by 2011, they should've known better by then not to a bad one. Edge Vs Del Rio, Rhodes Vs Mysterio and Orton Vs Punk were all good, and Triple H Vs Undertaker no holds barred was incredible, but everything else with the Corre eight man tag, the mixed six man tag involving Snooki, Miz Vs Cena No DQ, and Lawler Vs Cole were the all time worst WrestleMania matches ever, and the show felt like an advertisement for the next two Manias that would be headlined with Cena Vs Rock. Overall WWE WrestleMania 27 (2011) is a really bad show and one of the worst WrestleManias."
Kyrie wrote on 16.01.2026:
"This show gets too much hate. The Pre-Show Battle Royal/US title match was dumb and I hate every 'get everyone on the card' Mania matches. Edge vs Del Rio was a pretty good match, but the wrong guy went over - Edge retires the following night so why not have Del Rio win or at least have Del Rio injure Edge to get some heat. Cody vs Mysterio is a very good match. The Corre tag match is horrible and pointlessly buried an up and coming faction for no reason. Orton vs Punk is pretty good though. Cole vs Lawler is overhated and Heel Michael Cole isn't that bad, it was a good way to cool the crowd down and ultimately no one was hurt by this match, unlike the Corre one. Taker vs HHH is excellent and easily match of the night, and as much as people hated Triple H this match is so good that people would probably be okay with him breaking the streak. The Mixed tag sucked but cooled down the crowd to prepare for the main event. Miz vs Cena kinda sucked, especially the ending, and was basically just a way to setup Rock vs Cena. This show is a lot more 'watchable' than other bad Manias as it somehow has really good pacing, with the shitty short matched being used to cool off the crowd and get them ready for the next big match. I think if HHH vs Taker closed the show people would look upon this show more fondly, as Miz vs Cena leaves a bad taste in your mouth. I think this could be a pretty solid Mania if the card was simply restructured whilst keeping everything else the same."

RetiredPornstar48 wrote on 23.12.2025:
"Look, honestly really overhated. It is a dreadful, terrible Wrestlemania. But it has some good stuff, like Triple H vs The Undertaker in arguably a top 10 streak match and the underrated CM Punk vs Randy Orton, which could be better but is good. But on the same show we have Michael Cole vs Jerry Lawler"
Sansbear27 wrote on 30.11.2025:

[3.0] "And people say Wrestlemania 9 is bad? Yeah, this one also gets a reputation as being one of the worst ever, and while I think WM9 gets more hate than it deserves, this one deserves every drop of ire it draws from people. The main event and The Streak match are horrible. Cole and Lawler is unwatchable, Snooki appears and wastes Trish Stratus, and you have an 8 man tag that doesn't even get 2 minutes. It's easier to ask what DID go right in this event. The answer is very little. Edge vs. Del Rio and Punk vs. Orton are the only remotely memorable matches on this card, and neither of them are good enough to warrant a rewatch of the event, let alone saving it. It seems unbelievable to say a Wrestlemania is skippable, but there's truly nothing "Wrestlemania-like" about this event. Maybe not an unwatchable show, but it comes pretty close."

[2.0] "I always want to like this Wrestlemania more than I do, seeing as it was in fact the first one I watched live when I really got into wrestling properly. Unfortunately, it's just not very good at all. The entire show is an overly padded affair with dumb Snoop Dogg segments and the Rock meandering around during the height of his "I'm back but I've seriously lost my spark and it feels rote and joyless" run that he did in the whole two year (ugh) Cena feud. Speaking of overly padded and awful, there's of course the Lawler-Cole match, which is almost certainly the all time worst Wrestlemania match as an agonizing 30 minute segment that no one could possibly enjoy. While that is by far the nadir of the show, it's also surrounded by the dumb nothing Corre match, the dumb corny Snooki match, the awkward and let down main event, and a lot of other matches that really never reach above the level of "fine." Other than completionism, wanting to see the Triple H-Taker match, or a morbid desire to punish yourself (hi there, it's me), there's no reason to really watch this show."

[1.0] "This show sucks. Not only is this show just a prequel to Wrestlemania 28, but asides from one great match, this is a really weak show with stupefying booking decisions. The Undertaker and HHH tore the house down in their stellar No Holds Barred match. It was intense, dramatic, and the crowd was into all of it. Sadly, the same can't be said for the main event. Miz and Cena put on a boring, heatless match that was just there to set up Rock/Cena the next year. Congratulations on the win Miz, a third wheel in his own world title match. Del Rio proved his Rumble win pointless in an average match with Edge, Cody Rhodes got a solid victory over Rey Mysterio, and Punk/Orton put on a solid match even if Orton winning was the safe choice. Less safe was putting Cole and Lawler out there for over 15 minutes in an achingly bad match. We also got to see Snooki wrestle, and that's what Wrestlemania is really all about. Overall, Wrestlemania 27 is a piss poor show that invalidates its own existence as the next Mania is much better."
Popeyeyeyeye wrote on 25.06.2025:

If anyone thinks wrestlemania 41 had the worst main event please watch this and you'll change your mind. Or actually no don't do it because I don't want you to suffer. Still better than mania 9 and 11."

Cole and Lawler might be a little overhated, but I can't blame anyone for calling it the worst thing they've seen since Giant Gonzales. And does anyone actually remember the Jersey Shore plug match? I don't have to explain why the main event ending in a count out is awful. Or why it feeling like it exists for the sole purpose of setting up next years wrestlemania. Just atrocious from front to back. At least Taker and Triple H are here. Otherwise I'd probably say it's a straight goose egg of a show."

Those never disappoint. Let's hope I won't have to watch 27 for a very, very long time. Not the worst Mania, but boy it was bad."

There's a couple of decent matches (Cody/Mysterio, Punk/Orton and Del Rio/Edge) that are worth revisiting for but aside from Taker/HHH, none of them are really worth being on a Mania card. The rest of the matches are pretty bad and should not be surprised why this Mania is considered if not the worst, at least one of the worst."
Ajay00329 wrote on 18.04.2025:
[3.0] "Well edge vs del Rio, Cody vs mysterio, punk vs Orton was good. And triple h vs the undertaker would have been the match of the year had it taken place in a different year. With all the positives tho, the negatives outshines everything. This mania without the above mentioned four matches, is beyond watchable. If It was the atitude era and they booked this way, WWF would have shut down in weeks and WCW would have won the wars. And while the idea of setting up the main event of the next year mania is kinda cool, it came with the expense of this show's main event which was already terrible. So this show is literally WWE insulting at its audience for paying for this show. Horrible"
KKeanel wrote on 18.04.2025:
[5.0] "Probably the most hated Wrestlemania of all time (and maybe rightfully so), however it's not a fully skippable show from top to bottom. Three disastrous matches + disappointing main event with Rock's forced hosting as a buildup to next Mania's ME didn't help to build something timeless, but we got another part of Taker vs HHH legendary WM's trilogy and some decent matches in the first part of a show. Far from the greatness, but on the other hand not even close to some of the darker editions from 80s and 90s."
RPMX123 wrote on 11.04.2025:
[4.0] "i want to be generous since this is the first mania my parents bought for me to watch live, but looking back, yeah it's a mess. Taker/HHH is very good but it's definitely the weakest out of the long running Michaels and Triple H saga. Undercard is fine but sorely lacking that wrestlemania worthy match, and two of the all time mania stinkers on this show (Cole/Lawler and Miz/Cena) just drag it down. It's how you leave em at the end of the day and realising now how much we got ripped off with that shit ending really leaves a sour taste"
KingsCrossing wrote on 06.04.2025:
[4.0] "This is a difficult show to rate. Triple H vs. The Undertaker is one of my favourite WrestleMania matches of all time, and most of the midcard matches are fairly solid (albeit, they largely do not feel WrestleMania worthy), particularly Punk vs. Orton. However, this show also has arguably the worst WrestleMania match of all time in Michael Cole vs. Jerry Lawler, and a match that is at the very least a contender for worst WrestleMania main event of all time. It's atrociously booked and ends the show on one of the most sour notes possible. I'd love to give this show a higher rating because I consider Triple H vs. The Undertaker to be an absolute classic and iconic WrestleMania moment, but it's hard to feel any more positive about the event as a whole by the time the PPV ends, and the majority of the night is missing that sense of grandeur and spectacle that you'd hope to see from WrestleMania.. I'd recommend skipping the dreadful Cole vs. Lawler match then just turning the show off entirely after Triple H vs. The Undertaker - that way you get a punchy 2-ish hour event with some good action. Viewed in its entirety? This was a bit of a bust and definitely needed a lot of work to live up to the WrestleMania branding."

Punk vs Orton was solid but never really got out of 3rd gear 5. Cole vs Lawler is brutal to get through 6. Undertaker vs HHH was easily MOTN 9/10 7. Mixed tag was dumb but it was quick 8. The best part of the main event is The Miz's video package. It's all pretty rough from there"

HHH/Undertaker was a great match but that was the lone bright spot of this card. Arguably the most embarrassing match in WWE history in Cole/Lawler, a dumb semi-main meant to put over a celebrity who can't wrestle, and a contender for the worst WM main event ever (although I will cut Miz all the slack since he was concussed during the match). Thankfully they were able to turn it around somewhat for the second half of the decade."

Between the ATROCIOUS backstage segments, Cole/Lawler being a thing that happened for reasons unknown, Cole's obnoxious heel commentary (thank God he's gotten much better now than Señor Assclown is no more), and the worst John Cena match in this era, there was very little to like about this show. Yeah Taker/Trips was good but compared to their much better encounter at Mania 28, it was nothing all that special."

[5.0] "I won't say this was a good Mania overall, but theres been plenty of worse. Lets start with the good part Edge/Del Rio is a fun fast opener with the heels working over Edge's arm for an easy and solid story (7/10) Mysterio/Rhodes is a bit slower at the start but it does get going pretty well with some good spots involving Cody's mask to make it a fun midcard bout (7/10) Punk/Orton I feel is really underrated, great heel work from punk solid Selling from Orton and I really liked the finish (8/10) and of course Undertaker/Triple H is a banger great brawl bell to bell highlights including the Spinebuster through the annoucers table and Trips tombstone. MOTN without a doubt (9/10). Now for the other half of the show, The eight man tag is worthless and WWE just made their tag champs looked awful for no reason (1/10) The mixed tag was another throwaway bout that was a complete waste of Morrison and Ziggler, at least Trish looked decent (3/10) Lawler/Cole would've been fine if Jerry hit a piledriver after getting cole out of his box and won, but no they dragged on to a 14 minute match with a awful wonky finish (0/10) and then you have the Main Event that, even as a Miz fan, I can't defend at all. The action on the first half is dull and the double count out restart kills any chance of the match getting fun. Rock being the host of the show and interfering in the main event was a bad choice as well (3/10). Half good Half bad so 5/10 overall"

Edge/ADR (if mainly because it was the last match of Edge's first run), Mysterio/Rhodes, Orton/Punk, and Undertaker/HHH are worth the watch so that's half the card actually being good. The other half to contend with is two pointless short tags, Lawler/Cole which really has no redeeming quality anywhere, and Miz/Cena which is one of the weaker WrestleMania main events ever. A totally bland, dead match with a weird ending. More than anything though, what sticks out to me on the show is a terrible atmosphere that's kind of hard to describe. Just corny and dull like nobody really wants to be there, fully capturing the peak of the PG Era vibe which isn't a good thing. The Rock totally phones it in and wastes time as host which doesn't help. This isn't nearly the worst WrestleMania ever but the pros are outweighed by the cons."

The first hour and a half had some pretty solid wrestling and HHH/Taker was rather great, That's about all the positives though because the whole vibe of the show sucked so bad. The PG era has never felt so forced as it does here, so bad and overproduced that not even the Rock can save it, not that he really tried. It's just a "please no one find out that I like wrestling" vibe, even the crowd felt like they didn't wanna be there half the time. Jerry/Cole and the main event absolutely fucking sucked and even the good matches had their issues (most notably heel Michael Cole or a bored JR on commentary for them). Cody/Rey felt a little too weird with the dynamics of Rey stealing the mask, Punk/Orton lingered on the leg stuff a bit too much at the end and Triple H's ego was all over that Taker match. Actually now that I've finished typing this maybe it is one of the worst Mania's fuck this show"

[4.0] "Pros: - Edge vs Alberto Del Rio (match of the night and had to be the main event especially because it turned out that it was basically the farewell match of Edge); - The Undertaker vs Triple H; - Cody Rhodes vs Rey Mysterio; Cons: - very short 8-man tag team match and humiliation of The Corre; - Randy Orton buries CM Punk and The Nexus; - Michael Cole defeats Jerry Lawler; - very short 6-man mixed tag team match featuring Snooki; - The Miz vs John Cena (one of the worst main events in WrestleMania history); - Wasting The Rock as "the host" of this show until the end of it; In conclusion, WrestleMania XXVII was lame."

Cody Rhodes vs. Rey Mysterio - [***1/4]. Edge vs Alberto Del Rio - [**]. Miz vs John Cena - [*1/2]. Undertaker vs Triple H - [*]. Corre match - [NR]. Jerry Lawler vs Cole - [NR]. Snooki - [NR]"

[8.0] "A lot of people shit on this event and think it is no good, but I disagree with them. I think that it is good and there is a lot good about the event and I was never painfully bored. The only match I didn't like was Cole vs Lawler. The match was pretty boring but it was not all bad. I enjoyed the entrance when Jack Swagger was doing push ups and it just zooms in on his face as Stone Cold comes out. I also enjoyed the celebration of the match afterwards with the beer and the spinaroonies and all that. The match would've almost been worth it if Jerry Lawler actually got to keep the win and it wasn't reversed. Because of the length and the bad action, it's the worst match for me. The first three singles matches of the show were really good to me. 1. Edge vs Del RIo, 2. Orton vs Punk, and 3. Rhodes vs Mysterio in that order greatness. First being the best. They were all really good to me. the two multi-man matches were short so they didn't affect it plus I enjoyed different parts of each. For the eight man, knowing how much The Corre was a bother at the time, it was great to see them get their comeuppance. The mixed tag was good for maybe a few spots; Morrison hitting Starship Pain to the outside and Snooky's offense. For the main event, I'd compare it to Taker vs Kane at Mania 14, It was not the greatest in the world and it was not the worst in the world. It didn't hurt to sit through and there were some good parts. Undertaker vs Triple H was the match of the night and was an excellent match. Some other notes about the show were that it had an excellent theme song with "Written in the Stars" by Tinie Tempah. and for some of the segments, some of the Rock's could've been cut and I liked the Snoop Dogg segment until maybe Hornswoggle's part."
