[5.0] "The Trifecta tournament is a fun idea, particularly the Dunn and Marcos match where they are entering as a tag team. The overall show is probably rescued by the final three matches, which are decent to good fare, but there is otherwise some real rubbish here, which is the kind of combination you come to expect from these years in CZW"
[8.0] "The opener was a nice little Florida showcase, fun, diversified, balanced and substantial. The rookies tag team match looked nervous and sloppy, but lead to a satisfying conclusion. The Ring Crew Express were a breath of fresh air and very over with the CZW fans, which made their elimination quite deflating and took wind out of Menace's sails. The Trios match felt slow, sloppy, terribly bloated and incoherent. The last semi-finals was short and unsubstantial, but does succeed in strongly confirming Jimmy Rave as a top newcomer with credibility. Mamaluke/Berk was a very neat and proficient technical clinic, and Nick Berk's injury actually added to the urgency and intensity of the contest. Knoxx/Stylz, in opposition, was compact and frantic, working around their limitations and leaving space for a bigger blow-off down the line. Kashmere/Blade was an excellent match, not only featuring cool action but also continuously incorporating the struggle for the baseball bat, perfectly selling their story and providing a conclusive ending to their concise and precise feud. The Trifecta Elimination Finals was fast, fun and puts over Jimmy Rave as a true threat on the junior heavyweight division of which he would become a big piece in 2003. Ruckus/Cash has a funny vibe, but again they lost their ways and limped towards a bad non-ending that keeps crippling Ruckus's reign. Mondo/Acid started well, but the overbooking kicked in and drowned the match interest by stupidly overprotecting Trent Acid and diminishing Nick Mondo's victory. The random main event wasn't up to the caliber of the rest of the night, ending the show on a whimper. I had an awesome time watching this, as the tournament elevated Jimmy Rave into an impact player, the good matches like Kashmere/Blade & Mamaluke/Berk were magic and even some of the weaker matches were productive and had some level of charm to it, making this a fascinating watch that builds major interest for the third Best Of The Best Tournament."
