[2.0] "This is an... experience. Like, the absurd of this fiasco is hilarious at first - the packages with Alcatraz, Ronnie Coleman coming out and not even being mentioned at all, Mancini speaking broken english and the stipulation itself - but then you have to sit through 60 minutes of this. The Football Rules Match is such a stupid idea that even workers thought that it was a joke at first, but then - surprise, surprise - you have to work four quarters and make it somewhat logical. And the work is... very solid. Genuinely, all of the guys involved (apart from real life bodyguard Menaldi) are really talented and their stuff looks fantastic. Their basics were good, they tried to make it somewhat enjoyable, but there was just no way to make it work at the end of the day. The highlight is Menaldi getting in for the finish and just being potatoed by everybody on the heel team, because they were visibly pissed about this clown not doing anything throughout the whole bout and then just coming in for the win. So it just feels like a fever dream for the most part and if you want to learn some wrestling basics you have a lot of material here, but even the ironic enjoyment disappears after a few minutes."

[1.0] "I admittedly only became aware of this show yesterday, from the just-posted Wrestling With Wregret review, but knew I had to see it in full for myself. Having done so, I think that Zane frankly undersold it - this legitimately is up there with the very worst I've seen. Although there were apparently several dark matches, the only one televised was the hour-plus-long "football rules match, " and it was a cluster from beginning to end. There were some notable talents in the match, to be sure, including John Hawk (Bradshaw, about a month before going full-time with the WWF), former WCW US Tag Champ Firebreaker Chip, WWF and WCW undercarders Scott Putski and Alex Porteau, regional Texas names like Rod Price, etc. But apparently there were few if any specific directions given as to how the match would play out, so while there were some individually good moves and sequences, the vast majority came off as guys simply doing stuff to kill time until the end of each quarter. Add to that a points-based rule system so confusing that even the announcers could barely keep up with it. The commentary itself was an odd mishmash of live and pre-taped stitched together, with some of the live commentary hampered by technical difficulties. And one member of the babyface team was event organizer Dom Menaldi, a professional bodyguard with no wrestling training who spent very little time in the ring, and when he did, you'll wish he didn't as he had no business in there. Had the dark matches been included in the broadcast, this maybe could've been given a higher score - there's an unseen Hector Guerrero match there, after all - but honestly, given how long the Football Match itself runs, I don't know if I'd even have the energy. Personally, I'm not sorry I watched it - I have an odd fascination with bad wrestling and can get enjoyment out of it - but if you aren't a glutton for punishment like me, you might prefer just sticking to the WWW review."

[3.0] "absoluty wild idea for a one match show. It dosent work in practice and the match sucks for it. Not slagging the workers they are all trying and doing stuff. The commentary is a mess with them just giving up halfway through at least the rest of the production is adequate. Not recommended unless you are extremely bored"
