[6.0] "Sold event, but I was expecting so much more from this card. All the matches in theory can deliver something interesting, but the only real highlights are perhaps junior tag title match, Tanahashi vs. Styles and historic main event. Nakamura vs. Angle is the only notable moment from history's standpoint, but if you're here for wrestling then just watch Minoru & Devitt vs. Liger & AKIRA."

[8.0] "1) *** 2) ***1/4+ 3) **3/4 4) ****+ and MOTN. Devitt and Tanaka would be gold for today's division 5) ***3/4 This is a taste of what we would have seen years later. An hidden gem. 6) ***1/4+ Very ECW-esque, not great but entertaining. 7) ***3/4 Wished it was longer, they had great chemistry. This is a historic night for NJPW not just because they put an end of the infamous third belt, but even because from this event (more like early 2008, not just this event) on they started to build what they are today: the partnership with American federations, junior tag is basically what we see today and this match helped Devitt to become what he had become in the following months; Tana vs AJ was the first big match of AJ in NJPW and I like to think they signed him years later because of this match. NJPW owes TNA a lot for this show. Everybody should watch it not just because it is a good event, but because It is a bit what Canadian Stampede was for WWE back in 1997."
