[1.0] "Very neat setting with the ring being on the actual beach, unfortunately, the match quality felt like everyone was wrestling after a couple drinks. MOTN went to Flair and Savage who did the usual pretty good match but its nothing you need to see more than once. Lumberjack matches are rarely good"

[6.0] "Awesome setting. Sting/Meng and Savage/Flair were both really good. The matches in the middle of this card weren't good but all were very short and still cool to see take place on an actual beach! The DDP/Sullivan vigennete is pretty hillarious as well"

[3.0] "Whether due to the heat or poor booking, this was surprisingly terrible in every possible way, save for two of the greatest wrestlers of all time in Savage and Flair managing to be somewhat interesting despite being held back by a poor match stipulation. Tony Schiavone lied more than once as he declared that the event was an attendance record for WCW, when prior shows had almost double the claimed number of 9000ish and the crowd on the beach looked much smaller than that. At least Baywatch got an episode out of it?"

[3.0] "I loved the setting and the whole show really had a unique vibe because of it, but Jesus Christ, they didn't give a damn about the middle part of this. They booked Hogan vs Vader in a cage, plus got a rematch of Flair vs Savage and called it a day. They threw some random preliminary matches before that and I'm actually amazed that more people in the audience didn't just go swimming, since the whole show was for free. The mentioned two matches were quality, plus Meng vs Sting wasn't a bad bout, but everything else was awful. Renegade vs Orndorff, Kamala vs Duggan, DDP vs Sullivan - all these matches don't scream "wrestling classic", plus the Triple Threat Match was a chaos with a stupid finish. So I really appreciate the idea behind the PPV, but you also have to back it up with some good booking."

[4.0] "This is the last PPV before the Nitro era and they immediately begin the ascension to the top after this, though the quality isn't always there. This one wasn't the best PPV. It had a bit of the Road Wild Sturgis feel to it as it was given free outdoors for a crowd of non-interested people in attendance. Not good."

[5.0] "When you think Bash at the Beach, you almost certainly think '96 - for excellent reason. And even if you don't, you probably think '94, which featured the big Hogan-Flair return match and Hogan's debut in the company. So 1995 is, sadly, a show sandwiched between two of much greater legacy and import, and it kind of feels like it. The open beach environment makes for a really fun and unique visual that adds a lot of character to it, though, and personally I was cracking up at Tony and Heenan's sniping all show long, which made it breezy and enjoyable to watch regardless of how good the in-ring quality was or wasn't. And, sadly, mostly wasn't. The opener was a fun monster match, with Sting playing valiant babyface like he was so good at, and Meng being a big stiff monster enforcer, which I always enjoy from Meng way more than I have any right to. Unfortunately, it goes downhill fast. The Renegade is a failed experiment already that the crowd turns on, and he's quickly outdone in "worst wrestler on the show" by the nightmarish double-act of Kamala and Jim Duggan, who are probably two of my least favorite wrestlers in history. They do nothing here to dissuade that. Rounding out an incredibly strong - weak? - bottom four of performers is the offensively gimmicked Dave Sullivan, who cannot be carried to a good showing by a too-green-to-do-that DDP. Luckily, things turn around somewhat in the back half, with a chaotic and messy but still fun triangle tag match, and the show-stealer, Flair vs Savage, in a surprisingly good lumberjack match, even if it never hits the heat and intensity this feud feels like it perhaps should. While the Hogan-Vader match has a disappointing ending, since I love Vader and hate Hogan, it's still a solidly well worked Hogan Slays The Monster contest and Vader is great to watch regardless, not to mention getting to fire up and snarl at Flair and Arn afterwards. It's not a great show, and there aren't really any matches to go out of your way to see, but it's a smooth enough watch."

[3.0] "Lousy show. Savage and Flair is the only thing worth going back to and that streak of matches after the US title opener was one of the worst "bad match" streaks I have ever seen on a ppv."

[6.0] "Total combined match ratings 44/70 for a total event rating score of 6.28 so all in all this show gets a 6.28/10 from me."

[0.0] "Well, it was at an actual beach, which meant that WCW couldn't charge for admission. I'm sure that means everyone will get their money's worth... Also, wrestling by daylight looks weird, especially for a major promotion. The card is not even vaguely promising, with only Sting/Meng and Savage/Flair looking promising, and they're both rematches from the last PPV. They are both watchable matches but not as good as the previous ones, but literally everything else here is terrible. This isn't as well known for being terrible as some of WCW's other PPVs from this year, but it might just be the worst. At least Uncensored was funny."

[2.0] "As with most major WCW shows of this era, this was an abysmal effort. The unintentional highlight of the show was Renegade throwing two of the worst dropicks this side of Erik Watts."

"Come on guys this show took on a beach and was Baywatch man, Baywatch. Why is it so low, I don't really know."

[5.0] "Beautiful setting for wrestling Best match of the day was RIC FLAIR VS RANDY SAVAGE worth a watch and has a clean finish Rough estimate I'd say there was about 8, 000 in attendance maybe that's being generous Probably only worth watching the last two matches very below average under card 5 out of 10"

[3.0] "This is a terrible event in the right location for a thematic event at the beach. Ric Flair vs Randy Savage is the best match but it's only a good match, nothing more. Hulk Hogan vs Vader and Sting vs Meng are watchable, the rest is flat or just terrible, Duggan vs Kamala is unwatchable, the Three Way tag team match is too confusing and does not deliver. Renegade vs Orndorff is stupid enough to consider it a big fail for the crowd reactions. Skip it and you won't regret it."

[1.0] "Pretty bad. It starts ok, Sting/Meng is a good match, not great by any means but it has it's moments. Orndorff/Renegade is pretty bad, Orndorff tries hard but holy crap Renegade is bad and the crowd already HATES him. Kamala/Duggan is a horrible, horrible match, and Beefcake's latest gimmick "Zodiac" is unbelievably bad. DDP/Evad is also very bad, Evad is one of the worst wrestlers of all time, poor DDP can't do much to save it. We finally get back to something worthwhile in the tag match, very unusual for this era but it's actually a pretty excellent multi-man, the Nastys are pretty gross with their stupid armpit shtick but the Blue Bloods especially look awesome and Booker T is already very good. Savage/Flair is not nearly as good as their GAB match but it's still excellent at times, two guys who always bring a lot to the table. Vader/Hogan teases being a decent match but quickly devolves into pure garbage as Hogan mocks and embarrasses Vader on his way out of the company. A bad PPV from a bad era, with only a couple matches that are MAYBE worth a look, nothing anywhere near MOTY, and very annoying commentary from Tony who brags about their "hundreds of thousands of fans" in the crowd, while the real number is not even 10, 000, ridiculous."

[0.0] "How did wrestling survive 1994-1995? Sweet baby J. There were a lot of matches that had potential to at least be somewhat entertaining -- Sting vs. Meng, Harlem Heat vs. The Blue Bloods, Savage vs. Flair, Hogan vs. Vader in a cage -- but they all sucked hard. Terrible event. Even worse beach atmosphere (and I love the idea of cheesy gimmick settings! ). Don't watch. Ever."
