[8.0] "Une nouvelle fois, l'épisode propose quatre matchs de qualité, dans la continuité du très bon niveau général du tournoi. Cette semaine, deux noms retiennent particulièrement mon attention. D'abord Zack Sabre Jr. : il ne m'a pas totalement impressionné sur le plan spectaculaire, mais sa maîtrise technique reste évidente. Surtout, il est extrêmement over auprès du public, et son statut de figure majeure de la scène indépendante joue clairement en sa faveur. Le second nom est évidemment The Brian Kendrick. Après Tajiri, il s'agit d'un nouveau retour marquant. Je suis sincèrement ravi de le revoir. J'avais beaucoup apprécié son run en solo à SmackDown, notamment lorsqu'il était accompagné d'Ezekiel Jackson. Un épisode solide, qui continue de mêler nouvelles découvertes et retours appréciés."

[6.0] "Solid show with the highlight matches being Zach Sabre Jr. ve. Tyson Dux and Brian Kendrick vs. Raul Mendoza. The other two matches were kinda just there, I wasn't impressed with those."

[7.0] "A stepdown from the previous episode but still a good time. Kendrick vs Mendoza and Sabre vs Dux were great and made up for the disappointing Bennett vs Nese match."

[6.0] "Enjoyable show with no bad matches . Definitely declined in quality as the show went on but all good stuff . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Tyson Dux vs. Zack Sabre Jr."

[9.0] "CWC continues to deliver. Sabre/Dux had a great match for the style, I still find ZSJ just a touch robotic at times but he can be very impressive. Gulak/Sihra was good, thought Drew got a lot out of the relatively inexperienced opponent. Nese/Bennett was ok, probably the weakest of the night but not bad by any stretch. Kendrick/Mendoza was the match of the night and a great main event, I am really digging Kendrick's character in this thing."

[6.0] "Another pretty solid CWC show. ZSJ vs Dux was pretty enjoyable. ZSJ's technical wrestling feels so fresh and interesting with how he outsmarts Dux constantly, although this style does come off as a technical spotfest at times which can ruin my suspension of disbelief because his opponent (in this case Dux) is made to look very foolish. Dux was fine, but his skill wasn't focussed on as much as ZSJ's. ***1/4. Gulak vs Sihra had good pacing and both demonstrated their skills well. Sihra never actually engaged with the 'Bollywood' gimmick' he mentioned in his promo in any noticeable way, which was odd. Gulak's aggression was nice. Fine match. ***. Bennett vs Nese was borderline okay. Bennett was awkward at times, but mostly good. Nese was clearly much more skilled and offered a more interested offence. Bennett's injury near the end really sucked out all the tension, which was a shame. **3/4. Kendrick vs Mendoza was the first really good match of this tournament. Kendrick's veteran dirty heel tactics compliment Mendoza's modern day high flying well. It was really impressive how Kendrick came into this match as a babyface with his redemption story and Mendoza was relatively unknown, yet they told a story which made Kendrick the heel and Mendoza the ardent babyface. Each time Kendrick pulled some underhanded trick it made Mendoza much more sympathetic, which was great. Could have been better with more time, but this was great considering how little time it had. ***1/2."

[7.0] "Another solid installment of the tournament's first round. Sabre and Dux had a good opening match; I liked Dux' redemption story and Sabre's showy technical style played pretty well off of Dux' more bare-bones approach. Gulak and Sihra was decent if short, with Gulak making a good showing. Nese - my local guy in the tourney - wasn't given much to work with, but was still able to look good. Kendrick vs. Mendoza was excellent; my pick for best match of the tournament so far. Already looking forward to the second round."

[6.0] "Probably the weakest episode of the CWC so far. Putting two slower technical matches on one right after the other was a mistake. However, there were definitely some good performances. The first match was unfortunately quite disappointing. Don't get me wrong, I'm a big Zack Sabre Jr. fan, and he did a decent enough job here. This match wasn't his fault. I am unfamiliar with Tyson Dux, but I have no desire to see anything else from him after that performance because my God. He was hot garbage. Bad selling, no charisma, no psychology, generic indie moveset. Gulak and Sihra were alright together. Gulak fought his trademark vicious, no-nonsense style. He's one of the best in the world right now at making pro wrestling look like a legit contest. While he was clearly the more talented of the two, Sihra was not without promise. He seems like the kind of guy who could benefit from the Performance Center. The third match was... unfortunate. Anthony Bennett was pretty bad. He botched quite a bit, looked out of his depth, and was somehow less agile than his much larger opponent. Tony Nese, however, was quite impressive. He looked cunning, athletic, agile, strong, and unique. His match against Kendrickis going to be good stuff Kendrick vs. Mendoza was fantastic. I love the fact that, despite Kendrick going full on for the "sympathetic redemption story" thing, he couldn't help himself and generally acted like a dick in this match. This helped Mendoza's impressive ringwork (including stuff I've never seen before) get over even more, which is fantastic. I've never seen a double turn happen that quickly. Overall, again, probably the weakest episode so far, but honestly, it's still better than most wrestling that WWE puts out. Definitely going to keep watching. Next week looks fantastic."

[6.0] "Matches 1, 2 & 4 were all watchable, and during some moments, compelling. #3 was awful. First, KrissKross/was it 'Kid' or 'Play, ' has to improve if he's going to get another big-league opportunity because he was dreadful (thus far, in this category, 1st place - K Johnson, 2nd Place A Bennett, 3rd place that H Kong dude from the 1st week who frickin' won? ! ) #1: ZSJ/Dux told a nice, basic story of slick vs. fundamentals. The more I think the more I like: put a suit on, give him a sexy girlfriend and make ZSJ the Tully Blanchard of this era. He's naturally arrogant, but so well-versed... it's just that very cockiness makes him an only average seller as a babyface; I can't really say that ZSJ was over. #2: I thought Gulak had a good first-round match in that his actions matched the build the commentators gave him. His moveset looked rough to take and his Dragon Sleeper (didn't Fujinami use it and he's at least two generations earlier than Asai) was tightly laid in. #4 had the most compelling dynamic as, perhaps, the wrong man went over. Mendoza's moves looked good but the match was built around creating Kendrick as the desperate veteran who needs to, and will do anything to, win. I also liked Daniel Bryan being forthright in breaking the general rule of commentators being 'unbiased. ' Yet how can he, as a babyface, justify Kendrick's sly, semi-villainous actions?"

[7.0] "Good wrestling on display for the most part. Other than the finish to the Sabre Jr. vs Dux match Share Jr. seemed disinterested. Kendrick vs Mendoza was definitely the best match of the night."

[2.0] "Disappointing episode. Zack Sabre Jr. Vs Tyson Dux was very boring. Drew Gulak Vs Harv Sihra was okay but it did have a good ending. Tony Nese really impressed me in his match but Anthony Bennett did pretty bad. The main event was my MOTN and was actually good. Overall bad episode but next week should be really good with Ciampa Vs Gargano."

[8.0] "Like always, the presentation was incredible. The commentary was always fantastic and brings so much to the action. Dux vs Sabre Jr was a good opener and showcase. Commentary was putting Sabre over like crazy, after this I won't be suprised at all if he wins it all. His charisma makes technical wrestling so fun to see ***. Harv vs Gulak was decent but nothing special. Crowd wasn't familiar with some of the submissions and moves **1/2. Bennett vs Nese another decent match, more of a showcase for Nese **1/4. Man did I love The Brian Kendrick in 08. Shame he fell through but great to see him back. He def should trim the hair and beard, he looks kinda creepy. Kendrick vs Mendoza was really fun. Mendoza was really impressive here ***1/2. Overall not as great as the first 2 weeks but still enjoyable. This was more of a showcase show for the top guys as the winners were never in question."

[9.0] "Really good episode of the CWC here, perhaps the best in terms of in-ring action overall. Ranallo and Bryan gelled here more than they had the previous two weeks, with Bryan just gushing over all the submission wrestling and his good friend Kendrick, while the production and Graves's analysis really bolster the show even further. The opener featured some slick stuff from ZSJ that he doesn't always do, but overall Tyson Dux carried much of the matchup (***). Drew Gulak vs Harv Sihra was more hotly contested and featured some really good submission wrestling from Gulak (***1/4). Nese vs Bennett was the least-good match of the night, but was still quite solid and showed a lot of what Nese can do (**3/4). The main event however is on another level at this point in the tournament. Kendrick making his return to the company and Mendoza (aka Jinzo) trying to make a name for himself outside of Mexico came together in an awesome, awesome match. So much of Mendoza's offense impressed, while Kendrick just bullied and beat down his opponent. Forcing Mendoza to bite the rope before kicking it, then targeting his mouth was just incredible along with the fire-y comeback that followed. It was also really neat to see Bryan root for Kendrick while also being apprehensive of his means. To wrap things up, the main event was just amazing and the best of the tournament thus far (****1/4)."
