[6.0] "I think week one was a better show but this show is still good. Match of the night is Dorado vs. Ali which should've been the main. Everything else was decent."

[9.0] "Tajiri/Slater was a GREAT match, nice mix of style and clear indication that Tajiri still has IT in abundance, probably my favorite match of the CWC so far. Perkins/Mack was also pretty great, both guys impressed and I wouldn't have minded seeing both go on if that were possible. Lince/Ali was pretty good, a tiny bit sloppy at times but all in all very enjoyable. Tozawa/Johnson was a good main event, Tozawa brings a lot to the table and I'm glad to see him get this opportunity."

[7.0] "I felt bad for Damien Slater as it was hard for his athleticism to stand out against an semi-washed up old-man who the crowd automatically gets behind because he's the recognizable one. That being said, I thought they had a fine bout and it's a shame Slater wasn't over at all. Da Mack's hand strikes are abominable as soft as 'The Villain' but flakier and without any angular torque; also, outside his flashier aerial attacks he cries out 'indie. ' Living up to his pre-match billing, TJ was as crisp and smooth as always; he's better when playing up his cocksure, veteran status. I'm looking forward to watching the MidWest Freelance promotion as I think the Prince, Mustafa Ali has promise. His daytime gig of a police officer adds a menacing grit to a tried-and-true gimmick. Daniel Bryan's commentary during the Main Event greatly interested me as he's not naturally a D Gate fan and appears to be leery of their workers stemming from odd heat coming from a Pac/B Danielson ROH match some eight years back. Save for the final two minutes DB was putting over decent, but certainly not a personality I am yet compelled to watch, K Johnson's heart and ability to, he basically stated, outwork the longtime DG veteran. (Granted Tozawa, outside his incredible snap German, is not the worker he was in the early 10's. ) And then KJ tried a weird, totally out-of-position tope rope maneuver and DB didn't say a kind word about him the rest of the way. Fine match but not a starmaking performance for AT."

[6.0] "Not as good as the first installment of the CWC, with the matches mainly booked to make the winners look good. Tozawa and Johnson, given a bit more time than the other matches, put on a good show that told a good story. Perkins and Da Mack also put on a fun, competitive spot-based match with lots of crowd-pleasing theatrics. The other two were a bit more one-sided, but Tajiri showed that he hasn't lost a step, and Dorado pulled off some impressive flying maneuvers. As stated in the last installment's review, I do expect the match quality to step up further in the later rounds, when more time is allowed."

[6.0] "Another fun show! TJP/Mack and Ali/Lince were both really good matches for what they were intending to be, fast, spotty but most importantly, fun (***). Other 2 matches were both good, nothing great to report. Visually + Audibly, the show is really great."

Slater didnt impress me at all and it was slower than I would have suspected. TJP Vs Mack was good. Dorado Vs Ali was fun. Main event was also good. 6/10."

[6.0] "A step down in quality from the last episode but still enjoyable overall. Tajiri vs Slater had a few cool counter sequences and nice kick exchanges. Tajiri showed impressive in-ring intelligence but Slater failed to really get the crowd into him, which resulted in some awkwardness at times. They never really pushed things too far but did a little to impress. **3/4. Perkins vs Da Mack was more or less as good as the previous match. Perkins isn't very unique in his style but delivers his moves well, while Da Mack was more of a crowd-pleasing entertainer than a wrestler, although he wasn't bad and was able to carry the match with Perkins. Perkins showed off some nice spots and that was about it. **3/4. Dorado vs Ali was the over the top lucha spot-fest of the night. Dorado is athletically impressive while Ali was mostly the punching bag, getting in only a few spots himself. The massive number of spots really ruined the wrestling match illusion but were still impressive regardless. I'm hoping for better pacing in Dorado's next match. ***. Tozawa vs Johnston was MOTN and perhaps my favourite CWC match so far. Johnston wasn't great in the ring but performed well enough to carry the match while also showing some uncommon wrestling moves and having an underdog story which added impact to his actions. Tozawa was charismatic and vicious and just great all around. The match narrative was pretty intriguing and the main reason I enjoyed the match more than the others I've seen. ***1/4."

[9.0] "Another awesome show from a presentation standpoint with overall better matches than the first week. Still nothing great, but that's to be expected from most first-round under-10-minute matches. Tajiri vs Slater was a fun showcase for the returning veteran Tajiri (**3/4). Perkins/Mack had a lot of interesting moves and a ton of style, really showing what both guys can do (***1/4). Dorado/Ali was all over the place in a good way, just look at some of the crazy shit they did off of springboards alone, and was really boosted by Lince's Florida indie cred in terms of reactions (***1/2). Tozawa/Johnson was a tad disappointing, in that it felt a bit long despite only going 9 minutes, during which Tozawa was basically working with somebody who while competent was nowhere near his level. Showed some of what Tozawa can do, especially the two insane German Suplexes to end the match, however, and of course Ranallo and Bryan elevated the fuck out of the story of the match. Great show, good matches."

[5.0] "Once again there were no real standout or blow away matches, but since it was just still the first round of the tournament, I wasn't setting my expectations too high. Dorado/Ali didn't do it for me (*) but all the 3 other matches; Slater/Tajiri, Mack/TJP & Tozawa/Johnson were solid for the time they got (**). Just like in the 1st episode of the CWC, the actual presentation of the show was the highlight."

[10.0] "This was honestly a perfect episode of CWC in terms of what I'm expecting. I don't expect classics I just expect to be entertained and damn was I! Again I love the presentation of everything, the commentary is always fantastic. Tagiri vs Slater was a great opener. Slater really impressed here and Tagiri didn't look like he lost a step. Great selling all around ***1/4. Perkins vs Mack was another great match. I must say Da Mack looks like a mix of Zack Sabre Jr and Jaden  Smith. TJP is an amazing performer, wwe would be wise to sign him as he'd do wonders for the new Cruiserweight division ***1/2. Ali vs Dorado was again a great match with a great display of high flying. Both guys impressed ***1/2. Tozawa vs Johnson was a good display of technical wrestling.   It really got better and bettwr as it went on. I loved the story of Johnson not giving into Tozawa's expertise. Tozawa is very fun to watch ***1/2. Couldn't ask for any more"

[7.0] "Best matches this week were Da Mack/TJP and Tozawa/Johnson. Tajiri kind of confused the fans working his current style, when they wanted his spots from 15 years ago. Dorado/Ali was fine, but Ali was far more impressive and should have gone through. Tozawa's charisma is incredible, and Da Mack made a great case to be signed, he's hit and miss in wXw, but he made the most of his showing here."
