[5.0] "Considering this is the first WCPW show ever it wasn't bad. Obviously it was far from perfect, but at least the crowd was really invested on the matches and the wrestlers. Just as a side note, I've only have been able to find and watch the three first matches and Hendry's cover of Adele's song. I know that they did an introduction segment and a post match angle after the main event, but I haven't been able to find them. So I'll talk about what I saw. First, having Ross and Simon Miller at commentary was cool, but it's obvious they are very green and probably will improve with more practices. From an in-ring standpoint I do think they did a good job stablishing some wrestlers and their characters. Maybe the matches themselves weren't perfect, but at least they begun the construction of characters and storylines. On the opener we saw Joseph Conners defeating Alex Gracie and Gabriel Kidd. The match was fine, specially with Kidd and Conners doing a nice performance, but the ending with a low blow by Gracie's partner was very strange. Having your first match ever end on a dq isn't a good decision. Then El Ligero defeated Martin Kirby on a comedy match. Kirby's characters as this heel that thinks he is better than everyone, but that in reality is stupid was quite amusing. I had a good time seeing all his comedy spots. El Ligero won with a good Tornado DDT. And later, Prince Ameen comes to the ring to cut the usual heel promo about that he is better than everyone and that he will wrestle everybody. Then Joe Coffey comes out with his great version of Black Sabbath's Iron Man theme and easily outwrestled him doing a fine performance. At one point, when Coffey was about to win Ameen left the ring and got counted out. I do think it adds to his cocky heel persona, but it hurts the rating of the match. Coffey is really over with the crowd and had a nice showdown at least. He is a fine babyface. And finally, the last thing I was able to watch was Joe Hendry's cover version of an Adele song used to mock Big Damo talking about he looks like Hagrid. It was quite fun, it's a shame I couldn't watch the match. EDIT: The original version was on 10.02.2025. Today I've been able to watch the main event and the final segment. The match was decent enough, but as other matches, it had too much nonsense. The ref bump and chair weren't necesary by any means. But the match had some decent offensive moments from both competitors. In the end, Damo wins with the Ulster Plantation. On the final segment of the show, Pacciti presentes the WCPW world title, just to be confronted by Rampage and Blompied. The segment ends with a beatdown of Pacciti. Rampage piledrives a security guy and destroys the cardboard title."

[7.0] "Solid first show, some good wrestling but I did find that the commentary kinda brings the experience down. Decent backstage segments, productions could be better but it's an overall satisfactory debut show."

[5.0] "good first show but big flaws in the commentary, the matches were very good though the only exeption being Prince Ameen Vs Joe Coffey wich was quite boring otherwise there were good heel and face set-ups and all the WhatCulture personalities got their place on the roster"

[7.0] "Commentary was probably the only part that needs improvement, as it was too much. It's their first taping, and they need at least several episodes to understand what needs to be perfect production wise. Talent wasn't bad for this show, though Hendry should have been the one going over as clearly he has the most charisma right now."

[6.0] "A bit of a stumbling start for a promotion already suspect by being run by what is essentially a clickbait company. The build up to this show was way better in terms of presentation and production, with high quality videos building up to the main event of Hendry vs Damo. The show itself had terrible production issues, and was broadcast live via Youtube despite being a prerecorded show from 10+ days earlier. The matches themselves were fine, however. The opener featured three lesser-known talents putting on a solid show that put over the heel faction somewhat. Ligero vs Kirby was a fun comedy match, but it was a bit weird that the comedy match was the longest match on the show by about 3 full minutes. Coffey/Ameen was a good showcase for Coffey and again helped get the heel good heat. The main event was pretty good too, but short and had one too many moments of bullshit involving the ref/Jack. Nothing on the show was above ***, and it wasn't helped by the ABYSMAL commentary. The main event was slightly better because Blampied can actually talk, and he showed that off in the ending segment. He's got quite the heel manager voice. I suppose the crowd was hot and the title belt looks nice, so there's that. Also, I'll give the show its due that it is likely many fans' first exposure to not just the British indie scene, but ANY non-WWE wrestling, so I'll give it an A for effort. 5/10 show, but I'll be nice and throw it a 6 since it's their first try."

"Not quite sure what I just watched to be honest. Maybe it's because I'm not familiar with the What Culture folks, but it all felt like an unfunny gag mixed with some wrestling. Commentary was bad, but I assume neither of the guys behind the mic had any experience commentating a wrestling show, so I'll give them a pass. Matches were mostly ok, but some of the finishes were questionable. I feel like this was created specifically for the fans of their youtube channel so I'm not going to give this show a rating, but for someone who has never watched their videos before, this has zero appeal."

[6.0] "I'm rating this as an indie event and for a new promotion it was a decent debut show. I enjoyed and found the commentary entertaining and quite funny despite it being a bit silly, but it did work. The camera work and whole ring set up and graphics were good. I do think the crowd did make the show to an extend especially during poor basic matches like Coffey vs Ameen. The promo work on the show ranged from poor to basic/average and the background scenes could do with work. The opener had some good moves however the finish was poorly booked for the first ever match of the promotion, a DQ win? however it did build up the heel stable slightly. Ligero vs Kirby was a comedy match with no real wrestling but quite entertaining for what it was. Ameen vs Coffey I thought was very poor but it introduced the two characters quite well. I really liked the characters in the Main Event and loved Hendry's cover of Adele however it was a pretty poor match with just a few good power moves, but it did progress the storyline. I thought the ending segment was good and good way to end the show. Overall an easy watch and a decent debut show, will continue to watch as I imagine it will get better due to the other wrestlers they've announced to have. A fine debut show but on its own was quite poor but it did its job."

[7.0] "Solid first show, highlight was the main-event but great to see the likes of Martin Kirby and Joe Coffey in use by WCPW. I think the show will get better over time, one benefit it has had up to now in terms of hype is that I think a number of people attending these shows hadn't seen a lot of UK Independent wrestling before and were perhaps a little over impressed as a result but now it's broadcasting they will be competing for affections with Progress, RPW, SWE and ICW, etc. But I think over time this is something they're quite capable of doing. WCPW is a very positive development in UK and Indie wrestling... thanks to them a lot of people who historically only watched WWE wrestling now know who Big Damo and Joe Coffey are. And when you put this opposite the iPPV that Preston City Wrestling ran over the weekend, it's clear who the current villains of UK wrestling are, even if you don't like WCPW's green screen or 'banter' commentary."
