[9.0] "This covers the final two nights of the tournament . Mostly tournament matches aired . Match quality was high on all the matches . While the result was no surprise this tournament delivered on both match quality and drama . They did a great jump of elevating younger talent throughout and not just Shimizu . Probably the top tournament to this point in the year . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Big R Shimizu vs. YAMATO ."

[8.0] "This is just for the tournament matches as 'Infinity' just provided us with digests of the majority of the other matches. For effort Tozawa of course gets the 'MVP. ' I just adore the booking as one of the best matches of the round-robin paid off in a sequel that wasn't, as a match as individually compelling, but because so much was at stake my eyes were glued. Truthfully the dynamic of the first semi-final match was more intriguing but because Mochi didn't put his All into it, the Tozawa/Yamato match burned brighter. Poor Akira... the DG faithful just don't take him seriously as a main event player. It doesn't matter how great of shape he's in, his corner post splits, or how he's adjusted his style to a more power-oriented player, the crowd just isn't that into him. It must be incredibly disheartening, and I hope his ambitions and the zeitgeist of the DG audience find each other someday."
