[7.0] "The matches were solid but the only match on this show you should go out of your way to watch is the main event"

[8.0] "This was the best episode of the second season. So far, the show has been good, but that spark from the first season was missing. It's back now. The show opened with a pretty basic match between Marty Martinez and The Mack that really just existed to introduce Mariposa. Cage then beat Taya in a very entertaining No Disqualification Match. Finally, Mil Muertes defended his Lucha Underground Title against both Prince Puma and Pentagon, Jr. in the easy match of the night."

[8.0] "The show starts with Mack trying to hype up Sexy Star backstage, then he has a match with Marty the Moth, its very short but good action while it lasts. Mariposa debuts with the lights going out allowing Marty to hit a brutal jumping Curb Stomp (5/10). This probably should've been the first follow up to the vignettes Sexy did seem much more scared here than on her own match last week. Fenix gets a pretty cool vignette and we go backstage to see a nunchuck fight between Drago and Jack Evans & PJ Black that ends with Aerostar returning to the temple to save Drago. This is the grindhouse sillyness I'm here to see. Back in the ring we get a bait and switch, Cage comes out for his match but instead of Johnny he gets to fight Taya. Great introduction for Taya and a fairly hard hitting first half of the match. Sick table spot to the outside at one point. Johnny interferes and it becomes 2 on 1 for the last section of the match but Cage isn't fazed and gets a strong win (7/10) Famous B gets more vignette time, this time with Brenda. The skits are fun but he did take longer to actually come back than I remembered. The Unlikely Trio are backstage and they've got a title match for the following episode. After that its Main event time Three way for the LU title. Its a great spotfest throughout and the first really good match of the season. Penta and Puma try to team up from time to time but it never lasts and Muertes is a big strong beast taking them out with Dives, Spears and Clotheslines to retain (8/10) Post Match Fenix cashes in the Gift of the gods for Next episode Best show of the season so far"

[7.0] "Pretty good show with a stellar main event. Pentagon and Puma looked great, as did Muertes. The next few weeks are looking good."

[7.0] "This was a stronger show than the previous ones on this season. Don't get me wrong, the opener between the Moth and the Mack was horrible, there wasn't anything interesting about it and the action wasn't good enough. The most interesting part was Mariposa making his debut, but I'm not really invested on that. Moth pinned Mack after a curb stomp. The video packages were interesting, specially the one off Famous B and the fight between Drago and Jack Evans & PJ Black. That showed us the return of Aero Star. A match involving those four wrestlers should be great. The second match was a cool No DQ intergender match between Cage and Taya. Taya faced him because Mundo doesn't want to do it, at first she was on top, but soon enough Cage brutalized her. That lead into a Johnny Mundo interference attacking Cage with weapons, but Cage didn't sell the shots and Mundo run away with fear, leaving Taya on the ring to be pinned by Cage. The main event was a cool three way with some cool spots. Mil Muertes looks strong after taking both Prince Puma and Pentagon at the same time. After the match, Fenix appears and announces he is cashing his Gift of the Gods title against Mil Muertes on next show."

[6.0] "(Sorry english is not my firtst language) This time the only fight that is worth to watching is main event but i think it would be better if we have other champion then Mil Muertes, i mean he is good at making his gimmick but men... in ring i dont like him that much like Puma or Penta"

[8.0] "Two weeks from Aztec Warfare and things are moving fast. The opening match was pretty lame, but it had the debut of Mariposa, ***. Cage vs Taya was surprisingly entertaining especially with Mundo's appearance, ***1/2. Main event delivered big time as all three men had time to shine, and then right after the match Fenix made his big challenge, ****1/2."

[8.0] "Really started out not liking this episode . Even the main I was like "spotfest". Then it turned into a great match despite having El Messy in it . First match was pretty bad though . Matches worth watching : Cage vs. Taya and my top match was Mil Muertes (w/Catrina) (c) vs. Pentagon Jr. vs. Prince Puma ."

[6.0] "The Mack vs Marty was alright. Mack has great athleticism for someone of that size, but Marty the Moth has nothing going for him apart from his 'creep' gimmick. Marty's sister's distraction was really stupid, as was how Marty stole the victory with a simple throw from the top rope and a poorly executed curb stomp. **1/2. Honestly, this just reinforces how stupid Lucha Underground has become. A psychopath thinking he is an Aztec descendant who is also obsessed with his 'moth' character and has a sister dressed up as a moth. This is just embarrassing. At least this was followed by two pretty cool segments; one with with Fenix, the other (which was much more cheesy) involving Jack Evans, PJ Black, Drago, and Aerostar. The latter was really over the top but had a certain charm to it, as I could appreciate the story they were telling. Taya performed well against Cage, but Cage really stood out by being willing to completely dominant her. Mundo interferes, but can't help Taya win, and ends up cowardly running away. What a surprisingly good match this was. Cage is intimidating as hell. ***1/2. The match between Muertes, Puma, and Pentagon was a pretty fun spot-fest with lots of cool sequences involving all 3 wrestlers. It felt overkill quite often, as is expected in a LU match which such wrestlers, but it was still pretty enjoyable. ***1/4. This was an alright episode of LU, and the best we've seen in quite a while. 2 out of 3 matches were at least 'good', so that's an improvement."

[8.0] "The show has a great main event but not a good build-up, Cage vs Taya and Martinez vs Mack are two weak matches. Also it's really difficult to see stories at the level of the first season. But the main event was the focus of the show and it was the reason to watch it."

[9.0] "Like this episode a lot, the main event was the best match since the season began, and the other two matches were really very good for their length and content. Didn't quite like the way the main event ended though, seems like there should have been better protection for those losing. Still, like it quite a bit."

[10.0] "Finally, after 6 mediocre episodes, that was an amazing one! The opener was a solid way to introduce as Mariposa and to extend the Sexy Star-Martinez feud, Cage Vs. Taya was the first intergender match that got me trully invested and the main event was as good as it could be given the time it had to unfold."
MatteoMerdok wrote on 11.03.2016:
[6.0] "Ok... So I have Mack vs Martinez at ** 3/4 and I gave Cage vs Taya ***. The main event was absolutely worth watching. I almost never mention the skits in my show reviews, but there are two on this episode that I felt I had to acknowledge. The Famous B skits are really starting to grow on me, the "so bad that it's good" way that they are shot is really outstanding. On the other hand the nunchuck fight... so bad... that it's... well... just bad..."

[9.0] "Wow what a blast ! I must confess I was a bit disappointed for the last two weeks but I'm back to full steam "believer" mode ! The first match was OK. Cage / Taya was really violent for a mixed match, with some "not so PG" parts, which is refreshing as an alternative to WWE. The vignettes were good, as always. Aerostar is a bit cheesy. And finally, an awesome main event with total non-stop action, where all men looked strong but especially the champ. So much goodness in 45 minutes !"
