[6.0] "No outright bad matches but aside from the main event nothing really stood out . Mediocre would probably be the best word to describe this show . Matches worth watching : David Finlay vs. Jay White , Captain New Japan & Tiger Mask vs. Juice Robinson & Jushin Thunder Liger , CHAOS (Tomohiro Ishii & YOSHI-HASHI) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (BUSHI & EVIL) , Hirooki Goto vs. Michael Elgin , Katsuyori Shibata & Ryusuke Taguchi vs. TenKoji (Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Satoshi Kojima) , BULLET CLUB (Bad Luck Fale, Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi) vs. Great Bash Heel (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma) & Hiroshi Tanahashi and my top match was Hirooki Goto vs. Tetsuya Naito ."

[5.0] "Naito/Yano was fine (**), Goto/Elgin was a pretty good match with Elgin being pretty darn over (**3/4), main event was a good match that felt important. It wasn't the smoothest match I have seen from either of these lads, but it was done well to get Naito over (***1/4)."

[7.0] "A good show, but not as good as the first two days of the tournament. Most matches on the show were just okay, setting up matches for Invasion Attack in some manner and/or there to put certain names on the card. Naito ended up being in the two best matches of the night, which also happened to be the shortest and the longest. The main event with Goto was pretty good, and the right person went over, but honestly, my favorite match on this show was Naito/Yano, for the legitimate intensity in its nearfalls (all of them being rollups, mind you) and in general being one of the hottest matches all night at only two and a half minutes in length. EVIL and BUSHI were also great both in their match and at ringside for the main event. A good end to the New Japan Cup; this was Los Ingobernables' night."
