[8.0] "Much better show than New Beginning in Osaka due to the lower and mid card matches all being much better plus the main-event being much much much better. There were a lot of cool things on the card apart from the title matches as we got to see Sakuraba partake in some great grappling with Kyle O'Reilly, David Finlay take on Ricochet, and Jay White take on Evil and Naito. The NEVER 6 man tag team match also had a few good moments and a pretty entertaining finish. ***. The final 6-man tag team match was very good at continuing the various stories of Okada, Goto, Ishi, and Shibata, and I look forward to what events shall occur involving those 4. ***3/4. Kushida finally got to have his way with Bushi and LIJ in a match that really benefitted from interferences. ***3/4 The heavyweight tag team title match was alright, salvaged mostly by the emotional pay off of seeing Honma and Makabe go over (although rumours of Gallows and Anderson going to see WWE led up to assume this would happen anyways). ***1/4. The IC title match told a phenomenal narrative and really added weight to the wrestling itself. Omega going over was the best choice possible and leaves so many exciting possibilities open for the future. ****1/4."

[8.0] "Another really good show by New Japan . Most of the matches ranged from good to very good . I could watch Isii and Shibata go at it all day . Worth watching : Fish & O'reilly vs. Gedo &Sakaruba , Finlay & co. vs . Tenzan & co. , Evil & Naito vs . White & Elgin , Fale & co . vs. Briscoe & co . Goto & co . vs. Okada & co . , Bushi vs. Kushida , Gallows & Anderson vs . Honma & Makabe and my top match was Tanahashi vs . Omega ."

[9.0] "After good, but kinda underwhelming Osaka show, we got a wayyy better show on Valentines Day. Again, the undercard was cool, but unremarkable. The real show started after the intermission. CHAOS vs Goto, Shibata and Juice was way better than I expected, with Okada being the star of the match (*** 1/2). The Okada/Goto storyline is shaping up to be great. KUSHIDA vs BUSHI was awesome, even though there was a lot of interference. They worked a great match, and Young Lions stopping Naito from interfering was a great touch. **** match. GBH vs Gun and Gallows was a great match. Even though it was obvious that GBH are going over, they worked really hard and imo, had a better match than they did at WK10. *** 3/4 for me. The main event was arguably one of the most important matches in last 10 years of this company. I've hard different opinions about this match, I've seen people giving it ** or even DUD, and I've seen people calling it a MOTY caliber. Omega and Tanahashi went almost 30 minutes. There was a lot of interference, but this was done really well to protect Tanahashi, who just couldn't lose this match clean. They even managed to get Michael Elgin over. This match was just something else. They told such a great story, the crowd was into it, and shenanigans only added more drama to this. Omega won clean with a One Winged Angel, in a **** 1/2 match. This match made Kenny look like the biggest star in the world. The best part of this, is that they can come out at Invasion Attack or Dominion and have a clean ***** match. I loved this match, and I loved this show. New Japan is on the way to having a great year."

[9.0] "A much, much better show than The New Beginning in Osaka. The opening six-man tag was okay for a six-minute time-filler, and things fortunately began to pick up immediately after. Gedo is still very good in the ring, and reDRagon vs. Sakuraba and him made for a pretty fun match. The eight-man tag was a good showcase of talent both young and old. Los Ingobernables vs. White & Elgin was one of the cleanest Ingobernables matches in recent memory, and was probably the best match pre-intermission, but was mostly there to set up later events. The NEVER Six-Man tag titles continued to be booked bafflingly, returning right back to the original holders in what has essentially been a Best of 3 series briefly interrupted by The Briscoes & Yano facing different Bullet Club representatives. The titles couldn't have looked more pointless unless a better six-man tag match followed right after it. Oh, wait. I'm loving the rise of Juice, and Goto being totally despondent after becoming Hirooki G0-8 is the most interesting he's ever been. I was disappointed to see BUSHI not win the Jr. title, but the match was great, and the storyline of the Young Lions finally rising up against Los Ingobernables was satisfying. The tag match was dramatic in spite of an obvious finish, but the main event stole the show. Omega/Tana was a beautifully overbooked thirty-minute thrillfest that somehow made me pop hard for every booking decision I normally hate. Just don't overbook that hard again for a long time."
