[7.0] "White vs Finlay had some great Young Lion action. LIJ vs Juice, Kushida, and Elgin was fun. Elgin's strength continues to astonish, Naito is up to his usual great heel antics, and the feud between Kushida and Bushi continues to build. The Junior Tag Team Title match was a spot-fest, as are all tag team matches involving more than two teams, but still very enjoyable. ***3/4. Shibata vs Ishii. Wow. I thought they couldn't top their WK10 match. I thought a similar match to their WK10 one wouldn't be as impressive. Well, what do I know, apparently. So much amazing hard-hitting action with phenomenal selling. I genuinely forgot I was watching a scripted match at some points. Surpassed their WK10 match and genuinely one of the best matches I've ever seen. ****3/4. Okada vs Goto was not as good as we were hyped up for. Goto didn't live up to his new heel attitude that was being promoted and delivered a bland retread of his usual performances. Okada does his best, and impresses, but Goto needed to do more to allow Okada to really flourish. Some fun spots and sequences, but sadly lacking. ***1/2. The other tag matches on the card were boring and/or pointless, apart from the final 6 man tag match which showed the usual brilliance of Honma and Omega and set up Tanahasi vs Omega in Niigata (a great set up btw, with Omega working Tanahashi's IRL injured shoulder). Good event overall."

[7.0] "Good show! Jr. 3 way was just what you would expect with some really unique and innovative spots (***1/4), Shibata/Ishii was freaking incredible and one of the better matches I have seen this year (****1/2) and the ME was really good with an incredible closing stretch (***1/2)."

[8.0] "This was a really good show dampened a little by the main event which was very good but not spectacular . All the matches where good . Shibata vs . Ishii was great . Even the old guard seemed to step it up a little on the under card . I am wondering when they are going to ship Yujiro off to the NJPW scrap heap that NOAH has become . Worth watching : everything and my top match was Shibata vs. Ishii ."

[7.0] "The undercard was skippable. The real show started after intermission. Juniors 3 way was a very good match, *** 3/4. 6 man with Tana and Omega was just good, *** 1/4. The main event was a great match, altough not the IWGP Heavyweight Championship level, *** 3/4. But the MOTN was definitely Ishii vs Shibata. Those guys tore the house down once again, delivering a classic. I gave it **** 1/2. Good show overall, with its highs and lows. It's a really weird time for NJPW, without Styles, Nakamura, Ibushi and Suzuki, and with injured Tanahashi. It's gonna be interesting what Gedo's preparing for April's Invasion Attack in Ryogoku. Enjoyable show, with a great crowd and awesome NEVER match, and kinda underwhelming main event. I have to admit that I expected more."

[5.0] "Not a very good showing for the aptly named NJPW New Beginning. In their post-Styles, post-Nakamura world, and with Suzuki-gun still working NOAH, not to mention brand new trios belts to defend, there's a feeling that the roster's just too thin. Everything before intermission was skippable, with Los Ingobernables de Japon's heel antics being the only real shining spot. Of note, the new six man tag titles changed hands only a month after their inception, in a rematch of the title's first match, which did nothing to make the already pointless-seeming titles look more important. After the intermission, things picked up a little, but just not enough. The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Tag titles also got hot potatoed in a decent match with a solid finish. It seemed a waste to take the titles off of Bullet Club representatives right after the stable won the six man tag titles, but Sydal and Ricochet were very over. The NEVER Openweight title match was a great rematch, possibly better than the original, albeit a little uncomfortable to watch right after Daniel Bryan's forced retirement. The six man tag was mostly an excuse to set Tanahashi's legitimately dislocated shoulder up as a storyline for the upcoming IC title match. And then there was a hugely underwhelming main event. Goto's reliable, but no show stealer, and while the storyline of his consuming obsession with finally trying to succeed in a title challenge added some drama, it couldn't save this match."
