[8.0] "Very good first night to the tournament . No bad matches . The announcing was surprisingly good . Ray vs . Callihan survived what could have been a disastrous slip to still have a good match . Matches worth watching : all of them and my top match was Big Daddy Walter vs. Zack Sabre Jr."

[5.0] "This show was alright. Sabre/Walter was pretty damn awesome stuff (***1/4) as was Ospreay/Strickland which I thought was great (***3/4). Nothing else on this card was that memorable with nothing topping **3/4. The ME was really bad in my opinion."

[7.0] "I probably watch five WXW shows a year - always 16 Carat since 2010 - and am typically quite pleased with the shows. Often I slightly bag on the much-vaunted Ospreay for being led through his great matches, but this bout with Strickland he was the confident general and it may be my favorite performance of his. The match was incredible fun and was MOTN. Other recommended matches included ZSJ/Big Daddy, T Storm/Leva, Ilja/Bailey, and Drew/Silas's brawl. Thatcher/S Keel, Angelico/Trevor and Sami/Kim Ray did nothing for me. Though I just read Bret Hart's disparaging comments on Axel Dieter Sr, the booking of his son has made him a quality babyface. However, his 'I Quit' match vs Scurll is a convoluted mess as the heel was booked to be at first shrewdly devious, and then, an idiot. Though tonight was not the complete showcase for him that CZW currently is, David Starr has surprised me in becoming a credible babyface... something with his look, and previous medicore ability, I did not think he had the capacity to be."

[8.0] "The opening 4 way was an enjoyable but short match. ZSJ vs BDW was a good tournament opening match. Keel vs Thatcher was ok. Bates vs Storm was an ok and enjoyable match. Ilya vs Bailey was good. Ospreay vs Strickland was very good. Angelico vs Lee was good, and featured a very nice rope hung mushroom stomp. Galloway vs Silas Young was good and featured some nice ICW style brawling in the crowd and bar area. Kim Ray vs Sami Callihan was good. ADJ vs Marty Scurll was very good but to be honest reminded me too much of the I quit match from WWE Breaking point."
