[8.0] "This was a strong show from EVOLVE. There wasn't a bad match on the card. Drew had his indy breakout performance against Roderick Strong, and every midcard match was at bare minimum solid, with Gargano vs Gulak and Busick vs ZSJ really standing out for me. I really like the look of the venue, with the brick walls and the balcony. It looks like a factory, and adds an underground fight club feel that enhances the grappling oriented matches. The small crowd does hurt a bit, though, as it really takes away from the energy of the show overall. It is a niche show, however, as if you aren't interested in mat based wrestling then large chunks of the show are likely to drag for you (although the main and co-main are both fast paced and athletic, so many fans may find these to be a bit more accessible). For my tastes, however, this was a really good night of wrestling."
