[6.0] "It has a couple enjoyable matches but the rest is much much worse. For a PPV to just be a one match card realistically its just not that good. 5.5/10"

[7.0] "Pre-shows don't count in the ratings, otherwise 2014 could have gotten a better grade. The opening Triple Threat contest of the show proper was fun, even if the elimination stipulation was odd. Rusev vs R-Truth and Xavier Woods was a quick squash to put the newly arrived brute over so in that sense, it did its job. Barrett vs Big E was a fun hoss match with big slams and blows. Shield vs Evolution was a wild match that put the younger trio well over. The show was then brought down by the weird Wyatt vs Cena cage match? well the ending was weird and didn't work, but the match itself was boring. Paige vs Tamina was pretty meh, safe for one spot, and the main event was very enjoyable, with some fun action in and out of the ring by Bryan and Kane, making sure the crowd went home happy."

[6.0] "Post mania ppv. Definitely 1 match show here. Shield/Evolution was excellent. I remember being blown away and now it is still the same. Great way to put over 3 young guys. (****1/2). Bryan/Kane, at the end of the day, was good and also the best kane match I can remember. (***1/2). The flaming table was really surprising. The rest of the show was quite decent or pretty bad. Opener was decent, so so. It was good to see cesaro went over (**3/4). Rusev match was squash as it should be. IC title match was ok but too short. Barrett got good reaction here(**1/2). Steel cage was awful, worst match of the year here. Cena did his super power as usual beat the shit out of wyatts and lost by a child ? Logic ? (1/2*). Divas title match was just there no heat (*1/2). Overall I gave this 6 thanks mostly to 6 man tag and the main event. Above average show."

[7.0] "This was a good PPV after Wrestle mania 30 and in my opinion the best Extreme Rules PPV since it debuted. The opener was good and the in-ring work was decent. Handicap match was skippable and IC match was meh. The Shield vs Evolution in my opinion was the best match of 2014 siding with Daniel Bryan vs Orton vs Batista at WM 30 and Bryan vs Triple H at WM 30. Steel Cage match was decent till the ending with is weird. The Diva Match was ok. Then finally Daniel Bryan vs Kane was better than I expected. There were hardcore spots like the backstage brawl and the forklift spot was cool. I marked out when they brought back flaming tables."

[7.0] "Nice Pay-Per View. If this wasn't Extreme Rules, I would give it a 8 or 9. This PPV had really good matches (I didn't enjoy only Rusev's and Barrett's matches), but it lacked extreme. Rollins' spot was extreme, the main event match was extreme and that's all. The pre-show match was awesome. The crowd was amazing. Overall, this PPV is still a must-see, but don't expect over-the-top brutality from it."

[6.0] "A decent PPV. All the right people went over. Kane probably had his best match in years, and it was also a noteworthy PPV for the return of the flaming table which has never been seen in the PG era. I give credit to WWE for the ordering of the matches too I was shocked when I saw Evolution vs. Shield happen so early but credit to WWE for giving Bryan the main event, as he is the new champion now. Thumbs Mildly Up"

[6.0] "Solid ppv, with several good matches and one very good match. Too bad that one of the main events (Wyatt vs Cena) ended up being a horrible disappointment (maybe the worst match of the year? ), which really hurts the ppv overall."

[5.0] "A very average show from WWE with multiple disappointing matches. Bryan-Kane went at least 5 minutes too long and was nothing too special due to working the "Extreme Rules" gimmick to the point that it actually hurt the match. Wyatt-Cena had awful pacing and non-sensical booking decisions. The Shield-Evolution definitely delivered, though."

[8.0] "A very enjoyable show, with the good and excellent parts outweighing the bad and boring parts. The Shield v Evolution six-man tag was the match I was most looking forward to, and more than met the hype. A definite match of the year contender. The main event was gimmicked as much as possible and was an Attitude-era style brawl, and as we don't see that too much these days worked well. The triple threat and IC title matches were both fun as well. The Rusev squash and divas match were both just there, filler matches to complete the card. The only real disappointment was the cage match. Wyatt just isn't very interesting in ring, and the finish was dumb."

[10.0] "This was a very good show. It look like we are going to the new era. Rising stars picked up the victory here tonight. The Shield vs Evolution was gold , and the main event was an enjoyable Attitude Era Hardcore style. Something that we all miss today."
