With his impressive physique, high-flying abilities, and well-rounded skill set, Nese has earned his place as one of the most exciting and consistent talents in the ring. Though his time with WWE was somewhat underutilized, Nese's performances on the independent scene and in AEW have cemented his status as a true professional in the wrestling world."

Looks good, draws decent reactions with cheap heat despite minimal promo skills, can realistically be in the ring with pretty much anyone, and is very good at selling. Could he be doing more? Possibly. But at his age with his current skills, I think he's in a very good position."

[9.0] "Definition of criminally underrated. Tony nese is one of the best in the world when it comes to in ring skills and is on the level of swerve Strickland inside the squared circle. But somehow this man is used as an enhancement talent while the other is a world champion. They had an awesome rivalry in NXT where these guys kept putting on bangers. Tony nese has speed, is really athletic and has an extremely impressive high flying arsenal and is also extremely strong thanks to his great physique. Only thing this man lacks is charisma and mic skills which can be overshadowed by a manager. IC title material if used right."

[7.0] "Tony Nese is very good, even by only watching his AEW run, where he is mostly used as an enhancement talent thanks in part to his great selling, I was still impressed by his work. He looks great and can work with anyone on the roster and make them look good."

He seems at home with a stable in AEW, but he's another guy who'd probably benefit from a cruiserweight title in AEW/ROH. There is a surplus of potential star-power in the light-heavyweight division and a belt would give guys like this (among others), an opportunity to shine, rather than simply making others look good."

In the ring, his main asset is his selling: he knows how to make his opponent look great, which makes him mostly an enhancement talent at this stage of his career. He is, however, a very good enhancement talent, with enough athleticism to hang with just about anybody."

[8.0] "I've been a Tony Nese fan since he came to WWE, and he's really grown since then. However, the way his run with WWE ended was really disappointing, and I wish they used him right. In AEW, Tony is practically at home with Mark Sterling and Josh Woods as the Varsity Athletes. Tony is the perfect guy to put over a fan favorite and is fun to watch alongside Woods on Dark and Elevation. In the ring, he has a great physique with a gimmick that fits him and some decent moves."

[5.0] "Great in-ring worker and physique. Okay heel but not what I'd call charismatic and he isn't gonna win over any big crowd without a good manager. He's in the right place being a low to mid-carder on AEW. Great choice to put on a good match to hype up the crowd or to put over a babyface getting a push"

[3.0] "He has no charisma. No microphone capability, unfortunately. It has nothing to impress the fans. He may have a good ring skills, but this feature alone does not make him a good wrestler."

[4.0] "A very athletic wrestler but in most cases he fails to interest me with his matches, unless he has an exceptional opponent. Gets too much TV time in AEW, in my opinion."

[5.0] "Really good wrestler who has the potential to be a great wrestler. Surprisingly athletic given his build, but also in possession of the type of power that can make him an X-Factor in any multi-wrestler match. I really hope we see him develop his character more and thrive in a more fitting environment outside of WWE. All the tools to be a big deal."

[6.0] "Nese came into WWE at the time of the Cruiserweight Tournament. The issue with that is that many people all came in at the same time & as such; most got overlooked. Nese is solid in the ring & has a good look, but he's a character who does not have a lot going for him."

[7.0] "He's a good worker in ring as others have stated, hell he's great sometimes, but he just lacks that real depth to get people invested in him. There's nothing really there in terms of gimmick that makes you want to support him outside of a steady workrate. That might have been enough to get a major belt maybe 40 years ago, but we've gone far beyond that. Nese needs a gimmick and emote more in the ring if he's to be anymore successful."

[5.0] "Near isn't a bad wrestler whatsoever. He looks like a million bucks, is in stellar shape, and his wrestling is crisp and clean. He's just dull and one dimensional. His matches are your basic cruiserweight match, he doesnt have much of a personality to speak of, and his emotional range isn't there either. He goes through the motions of a solid wrestler, but aside from that, nothing about him stands out."

"He actually started back in 2003 and was wrestling for both MMWA and Border City Wrestling. He may have even wrestled for Great Lakes Wrestling but not positive about that one."

[9.0] "He is strong and athletic wrestler who prefer high fly style. Tony Nese is one of the best wrestler in indypendent pro wrestling scene and I see great future before him in WWE."
