[8.0] "I think its safe to say Lionheart is one of my all time favourites, I would even argue that he was one of the best european wrestlers in the last 25 years. It would have been interesting to see what he would have been doing now, if he was still with us, RIP Hearto. One more thing I want to add, it is cool that he did have 2 good runs as well, one pre neck injury and one hell of a run post neck injury up until his untimely passing."

[8.0] "Lionheart was a little ahead of his time in some ways. He was one of the men who kept British wrestling alive during the bad old days (alongside Doug Williams, Kody Fleisch, etc) and helped to build up Scottish wrestling (with Drew Galloway, Wolfgang, etc). As someone who could both work and talk, he was a UK star when there weren't really UK stars. He was used by WWE and TNA before those promotions were looking to expand into the UK or otherwise centre their programing around British athletes. When the likes of British Bootcamp, NXT UK and World of Sport arrived, he apparently wasn't one of the performers those companies chose to really pursue, perhaps due to age, perhaps due to his style, it's hard to say. But during his career he propped up significant (at least for a time) UK promotions as their top champion, such as ICW, BCW, 1PW, PCW and others. He also ran the Pro Wrestling Elite promotion, which ran shows with good houses and trained a new generation of wrestlers too. Lionheart for a long time was the UK wrestler who wrestled the Americans and got the big company bookings until those American companies began investing in the UK more significantly and he was for some reason left out. But if we want to celebrate UK wrestling on its own merit rather than through its relation to an American corporation, then Lionheart's career and accomplishments shouldn't be forgotten. RIP Champ."
