He's definitely a wrestling god in Japan with his brutal matches against Samoa Joe, Kensuke Sasaki, Stan Hansen, KENTA, and also Mitsuharu Misawa. This wrestler also beat cancer and returned to the ring which I was utterly stunned by and about to be emotional due to his story. So let me explain his debut all the way to stardom with him debuting in 1988 for All Japan Pro Wrestling (AJPW) and famously lost his first 63 matches (which is common in Japan to lose matches when you start a career in AJPW) and he built a very strong reputation as a resilient underdog to the fans of Japan. In the 1990s, he became part of AJPW's elite "Four Heavenly Pillars" alongside Mitsuharu Misawa, Toshiaki Kawada, and Akira Taue. Let me say this but holy shit the four pillars of heaven nickname was god damn good to give to them because they pushed All Japan Pro Wrestling so strongly to battle with New Japan pro Wrestling. Kenta Kobashi had 3 reigns with the triple crown with him defeating Akira Taue in 1996, Toshiaki Kawada in 1998, and Big Van Vader in 2000. But then in 2000 joined the mass exodus led by Misawa to help form Pro Wrestling Noah (Another GOAT Japanese Promotion), where he achieved his most iconic success with him clashing with Misawa and many other wrestlers. He was given the nickname "Tetsujin" (Iron Man) which is a sick nickname for Kobashi because his wrestling was.. literally 100% good. He possibly had the best title reign in Pro Wrestling Noah and maybe the professional wrestling world with his GHC Heavyweight Championship reign of 735 days. But then he was sadly diagnosed with cancer and when he beat it and returned to professional wrestling with good health everyone was in tears and even the commentators too. He also was suffering severe arm and leg injuries leading him to wrap up his wrestling career in 2013 and cement himself as the best professional wrestler in the world maybe. Also if you watch his final match it's hard to not get emotional and I didn't watch it yet but I will possibly watch it later to see how his career ends. So, thank you Kobashi for your entire wrestling career and you'll always be the best professional wrestler ever."

There's no arguing he's not one of the best to ever do it, the question is if he's THE best. I flip flop on this, I'll give you a different answer every week so I won't try to answer it, but he's in contention. Hence why he's an easy 10/10"
