[10.0] "He's the Wayne Gretzky of wrestling- you could split him into a junior heavyweight, heavyweight, and tag team wrestler, and he would be considered one of the best ever in the former category and arguably the GOAT in the latter two. No one will ever reach the level he did in Japan on his hunt for the IWGP Heavyweight Championship, and no teams could hang with prime Golden Lovers, but he has been able to turn back the clock many times in the years since despite dealing with a laundry list of injuries that would retire many wrestlers. His legacy will live on forever through his proteges Konosuke Takeshita, Will Ospreay, and Adam Page, as well as the style of wrestling he does better than anybody- combining storytelling, athleticism, and inspiration from the very best around the world."

I will show an example to make everyone sure loud and clear about how good Kenny is. Which ones were the best wrestlers at NJPW last decade? Well, Kazuchika Okada, Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, Tetsuya Naito, Tomohiro Ishii, Hirooki Goto, man, even fucking Will Ospreay. That son of a bitch have a match against all of these motherfuckers and most part of them are consider the best matches of their career and even OF ALL TIME! His run at AEW kinda under delivered if you compare to his NJPW one, but mostly because it is kinda unfair for AEW honestly. He still made some great matches, like some with Mox, AitA and Stadium Stampede, the legendary tag match with Hanger at his side facing the Bucks, I will not continue, that guy is just so fucking unreal. Great in ring wise, can do everything and sometimes he will pull something out of his pocket while no one expect, great in promo at both english and japonese, anyway, I guess everyone understood. I love that son of a bitch."

[10.0] "The Best Bout Machine, Kenny Omega is simply put one of the greatest wrestlers to ever step foot in a ring. While age and wear have taken him down a notch these days, in his prime his combination of endurance, athleticism, strength, inventiveness, daring, psychology and storytelling were unrivaled. He was like a combination of the best aspects of Kurt Angle and Shawn Michaels. Kenny was never a god on the mic but he was always very entertaining especially in Bullet Club where he could let his sense of humor out and just be a diabolical villain, but when he started to turn babyface with the NJPW crowd he produced so many memorable moments and storylines between himself, Okada, Ibushi and Tanahashi. Kenny making the jump to AEW helped to immediately legitimize them along with the addition of Jericho, as perhaps few remember but he was highly rumored to being going to WWE and WWE fans were hotly anticipating getting him on Raw or Smackdown before he took the huge risk on an unproven company. But that risk has paid off because Kenny now continues where he left off in Japan, never having to compromise his character or his in ring quality. He continues, even being a little broken down, to produce amazing matches every single year. When it's all said and done there might not be a North American born wrestler with a stronger body of work than Kenny."

"(10) Kenny Omega, holyyyyy, this guy. This wrestler might be one of the most incredible performers that has stepped into the squared circle and very glad I got to witness him live. It took me awhile to appreciate Kenny, not sure why or how I never appreciated him the moment I watched his Full Gear 2019 performance, I was defo blinded and distracted by an Ace or Lunatic, but at the end of the day, or at the end of each and every match I do see recognize his effort no matter what; I always remember not just his spots, but how happy and shocked the crowd gets or becomes after Kenny does something special. No matter what, Kenny is able to one-up not just his rival, but himself as the match was going, I mean Okada vs Omega Dominion 6.11 is a prime example of how he just kept on growing and growing and growing as the match went on. For those are top performances that can't go unnoticed, and that's how he got me. Kenny even if he has slowed down just a bit, still is able to still shock me and make me realize that title of "The Best Bout Machine" is very real. He still physically gives his all in that ring no matter what, and feels so alive whenever he's present in the ring; while I'm now just getting into the wrestling rabbit hole, finally exploring new styles and new wrestlers every few days - I don't think it sounds crazy to label this man as the Wrestling GOAT, and especially isn't crazy enough to have Kenny Omega be the benchmark on what is a defined as a complete wrestler. Best Matches: Kota Ibushi vs Kenny Omega DDT 2012, Kazuchika Okada vs Kenny Omega Dominion 6.11, Young Bucks vs Kenny Omega and Hangman Adam Page Revolution 2020, (Personal Fav) Kenny Omega vs Jon Moxley Full Gear 2019"

His style is the perfect mixture between maintaining an outstanding figure & just being fast as hell, employing modern aesthetics tastefully when it is required, & he still knows how to work the psychology aspect & come across serious. Kenny Omega is able to work within that high-flying paradigm & put out consistent, super-fun matches with incredible athleticism. His promo game was never the best IMO anyway, but his in-ring work & figure make up for this in spades. It's unfortunate to see that he is still struggling with pain issues in the wake of what's happened to him, & I hope for a full return to form sooner, rather than later."

The minimal struggle conveyed always bugs me. It's too cooperative looking and lacks enough authenticity to properly simulate a physical competition. His character work and mic work are vanilla. He seems like a walking cliche. I feel a 5 might even be generous."

It's hard to put into words what he has done for wrestling because without him, NJPW is not nearly as big as it today, AEW would probably have not survived through the pandemic, and WWE would look very different, despite him never having wrestled for WWE. The entire Golden Lovers storyline was beautifully done and is one of the greatest storyline in wrestling history. he has truly mastered the art of wrestling and has given his all for it. I would rank him a 20/10 if I could."

Nonetheless I have a lot of respect for the dude who gives everything he has in the ring."

He spams finishers a lot, somewhat existing ring psychology, matches focused on money marks. But he's good, so that's why he gets a simple 7. Good, but nothing impressive or groundbreaking. And it doesn't help that by 38, he's washed"

I think he gets a little precious when he's given constructive criticism. He has failed to evolve, and failed to get better on the mic since AEW began, and I think he's been a tad over rated over the years by fans. Dont get me wrong, he's very athletic and talented, but Kenny Omega's biggest fault is that his matches can sometimes feel overly indulgent, that lose casual viewers. Another knock is that his selling can be inconsistent and his matches can tip into excess rather than focus."

I seeked out some DDT stuff, introducing me to Ibushi & Takeshita among others. He reshaped what I thought of the Young Bucks because I last seen them in TNA as Generation Me. Then 2015 happens. He wins the G1 Climax, cementing his jump to heavyweight in one of the best G1's in history having a generational semi-finals with Naito. 2016, we enter Omega shaping the industry as a whole alongside Okada. They pushed what a match could be to new heights, and the rest is history. Omega now resides in AEW, a company he helped found in 2019 after exiting NJPW, where he's had even more incredible matches and storylines, being the man to truly bring the best out of Hangman Page in the companies early years. In 2025, we seen Omega return from diverticulitis, and take a part time schedule, but still putting on incredible matches - though singles matches are becoming increasingly uncommon. Omega has given his all to the industry, will continues to give more - and is extremely high on my favorite professional wrestlers of all time list."

But goddamit every time this man wrestlers those are the only words I can utter. It is a testament to how good he is that despite coming back from life altering surgery, he still puts on some of the best matches of the year, including a MOTYC in his first match back. Very few get it like Omega does. The raw athleticism and physicality he brings is damn near unmatched. No one does the kick out at one power up spot like Omega. And shouts to him for everything he has done to make the One Winged Angel the move it is. I'm pretty sure there is no other finisher ever to be as protected as Omega's One Winged Angel. No one's kicked out of the move (outside of Ibushi) and it adds to much to his matches. There is a point in his match with Danielson where he hits a V-Trigger and flies like half way across the ramp to hit it. Godly shit. Danielson, Okada, Ishii, Bucks, Hangman, Ospreay, Kidd, Takeshita, Jericho, Moxley, Naito, Tanahashi, dude the hits don't end. Undoubtably on my Mount Rushmore of Wrestling."

His influence on modern wrestling is profound and undeniable, blending athleticism, storytelling, and innovation in ways few others have managed. Omega's in-ring style is a perfect synthesis of technical skill, high-impact offense, and cinematic storytelling. Every match he performs is a masterclass, balancing brutal physicality with nuanced psychology. He has elevated the art of wrestling, pushing boundaries in promotions across the globe--from New Japan Pro Wrestling to AEW and beyond. To place him in the pantheon of all-time greats is no exaggeration. Omega belongs firmly in the conversation alongside historic titans such as Mitsuharu Misawa, Kenta Kobashi, Toshiaki Kawada, and Kazuchika Okada. His legacy is not just about spectacular matches but about revolutionizing the way wrestling is perceived and appreciated worldwide. A perfect 10.0 rating reflects not only his current skill but also his lasting impact on the industry. Kenny can work any style and work with any opponent and help them to an incredible match. His selling, match structure, pacing, in ring storytelling & moveset are on another level. A lot of people think his promos are a weak point and if we was talking early on in his career I would agree but since he took over bullet club he has had some incredible promos not too mention recent promos like the one against Gabe Kidd before their wrestle dynasty match or before facing Ospreay at wk 17. His Hadoken era was my favorite of his since it drew out Omega's best qualities and it was complementary to the actual person, but he grew out of his comedic moveset to get more serious bookings and it worked out fine for him. I do find him in part guilty of this era of wrestling "epics" where everything is long and dragged out with too many moves and finishers, baiting for people to say it's "the best thing ever of all time fr! 1", but the blame shouldn't be put on him. Meltzer and smarks probably contributed a great deal to that as well. And I admit he gets too over the top cartoony in the ring sometimes so it can break immersion. Able to have great matches with Kazuchika Okada, Tetsuya Naito, Chris Jericho, Bryan Danielson, The Young Bucks, Adam Page, MJF, Will Ospreay, Kota Ibushi, Tomohiro Ishii, etc. and whoever you can put him in the ring with, one of those special performers who can get great matches out of anyone no matter if they're near Omega's level or not. Kenny Omega's athleticism and movements are out of this world, the way he moves feels unrealistic in the sense that it's insane someone can run and jump like him, how he moves so quickly and how light he is on his feet is breathtaking. Not only that, his other biggest achievement was his involvement in having a hand in creating All Elite Wrestling, the promotion that gave me the shot in the arm to get me back to loving wrestling again, I will forever be grateful for The Elite for making AEW.
