"Dowie James was one of the standout performers on the Australian indy scene and the top guy for Melbourne City Wrestling (MCW) from 2015 through to 2020. He had incredible matches with Chavo Guerrero, Jonah Rock (now Bronson Reed) and Will Ospreay just to name a few. He was also as good on the microphone as he was in the ring. I suspect the reason he was never signed by any of the major US companies like many of his Australian peers were at the time was perhaps due to his lack of physique. Unfortunately, Dowie was ousted from professional wrestling after rape allegations from a fellow talent surfaced during the Speaking Out movement in 2020. Following an independent investigation from MCW, Dowie was sacked from his role as an MCW student trainer and has been yet to resurface elsewhere since."
