Yah this guy almost totally SUCKED. In the ring he's a boring chore and the gimmick was of the lowest hanging fruits. Nothing to see here. 2.25 rounded down."

DeBeers was a very standard '80s-style brawler, but he played the character of an Apartheid-era South African military man very well - the racially-charged aspects of it would never fly in today's wrestling world, but at the time the gimmick drew major heel heat and made him a compelling mid-card villain. After the AWA's closure, DeBeers had a run with the short-lived Herb Abrams UWF, then continued popping up occasionally on the indies until 2010 (he was apparently finally promoted from Colonel to Major sometime around the turn of the millenium)."
