[8.0] "Chic Donovan had all the tools: the classic golden-era look, natural charisma, and a solid grasp of in-ring fundamentals. He looked like a star, carried himself like one, and fit perfectly into the flashy, larger-than-life style of the 1980s. If timing and booking had aligned better, he could have easily held a bigger spot on the card. He worked with major names across various territories and was trusted to make others look good, which speaks to his professionalism and skill. Even if he didn't get the sustained push he deserved, Chic carved out a respectable legacy as a polished, dependable performer who added value wherever he went. He's one of those talents where, in a different era or with a slightly different break, we'd probably be talking about him in a much higher tier"

Permanently tanned to perfection, the hair looked the same over decades: ever seen the movie The Wrestler? Of course you have, he's very much of the ilk. There were problems though. Chic would show promise right away but would either slip down the card almost instantly or be out for months with an injury. Could take/work with anything at the time & had chemistry with every dang person ever so, enhancement talent it is! Always a pleasure to watch but I remember every time I'd say "oh neat! Chic Donovan's back! " he would be gone just as quick."

He had a good look, could go in the ring, and could draw heat when he needed to. But he did mostly enhancement work. He was better than that, but some guys never live up to their full potential."

In WCW he was okay. Best peak was the 70's and 80's. Can't believe he is still wrestling over 70 and is not great."
