Incredibly imposing and athletic, his in-ring work was a sight to behold because of how ferocious he appeared between the ropes. While he never became great on the mic, he could hold his own when needed, and thankfully, had enough presence and charisma to feel like a big star even without much talking."

[8.0] "I get that you're not supposed to reference other comments in your ratings, but with an extremely accomplished guy like Lashley, there's no way in hell he should be receiving any ratings lower than a 7, especially when Stephanie McMahon and other goofs like that have 9s and 10s, with multiple paragraphs attached to them. Lashley has pretty much done it all and done it in multiple companies. He looks like a million bucks, is a solid talker, especially today, is a legitimate fighter, accomplished wrestler, and is a high level powerhouse with a really good move-set. His best character work started when he was in TNA during his Beat Down Clan days, then developed during his second WWE stint with Lio Rush, then with MVP in The Hurt Business, and that's translated to The Hurt Syndicate in AEW. He's had good to great moments for awhile now, and faced some of the biggest stars, but I always felt like certain things he's been doing the past few years, should've been done sooner given his age. Him and Brock Lesnar should've been booked as equals at certain points, given they have almost identical come-ups."

He has a great physique and power, but that's about it. I like his work in Hurt Syndicate because powerhouses add great dimension to tag teams, but besides that in singles matches he's kind of boring."

I also cannot recall one single promo or anything good he has ever done. One of THEE worst EVER. His run of ECW in 2007 was horrendous, and everything since was just garbage, truly. I have nothing good to say and no good thoughts about him, ever"

Great athlete that could be something close to black Brock Lesnar, like MVP already said when he spoke about him and how he view Bobby at AEW, but the booking was never for that, even with him always being super over in each single promotion. One of the most underrated wrestlers of all time, he is pretty good, even in Bellator he kepts expressive high numbers for a pro wrestler."
[6.0] "His promo work really holds him back and it's a very good thing he has MVP in AEW to do that stuff for him. Overall I think he's fine in the ring and has a good look but isn't anything too special."

[2.0] "One of the most overrated wrestlers by the companies, who gets paid way more than he actually deserves. Lashley is a boring character and a poor, clumsy wrestler. When he wins a championship, the title dies in his hands. Does anyone remember anything interesting that happened while he held the US title? When he held the WWE World Championship, the show significantly declined in quality. Big E that was used on Lashley's contract evoked emotions--some positive, some incredibly negative. But it's clearly better than Lashley, because throughout his reign, Lashley didn't evoke any emotions at all. The only thing he has is a cool monster look, and he can have a good match with a wrestler like McIntyre. But in AEW, he also has mediocre matches and gets an undeserved huge push, destroying homemade stars like Swerve Strickland. That was a big mistake by AEW. I don't understand how he can complain about his position in WWE when he was earning way more than he deserved. Many talented wrestlers never got a world title shot, even though they were far better than Lacey in every aspect of wrestling."

That's why having MVP or Lio Rush is such a difference maker. You get someone who can talk, and he can do the work. He's a main event act, absolute superstar. It's sad how Laveck discarded him so quickly. He could've had that Brock Lesnar role for as long as he's been out. Why not put him there? Why not have him go against Gunther? Makes no sense to me."

His blend of legitimate MMA background, raw power, and surprising athleticism makes him a believable monster in any promotion. Lashley has improved steadily over the years, becoming more well rounded with stronger character work and promo presence, especially during his run with The Hurt Business. In the ring he excels in explosive bursts, heavy impact offense, and pacing that makes him feel dangerous at all times. When booked as a serious threat, he comes across as one of the most credible world champions of the modern era. A legit powerhouse with proven main event presence. Continues to evolve and remains one of wrestling's most imposing stars. Night and day difference from his ECW Championship run to his most recent Almighty & Hurt Business/Syndicate runs"

His wrestling is clumsy and sometimes he messes up moves, his promos leave a lot to be desired yet he comes across as an excellent tier wrestler. His presence is tremendous, he has what the youth call "aura" and gets the crowd invested in every match. He has naturally gotten over in WWE, TNA and AEW. His moveset is devastating and brings that Goldberg type excitement to his matches. The Hurt Syndicate/Business run has really elevated him."
lukasmgc wrote on 13.03.2025:
[9.0] "Quite simply, the reason he gets the nine is because of one reason. But first, his in ring skills is great, typical heavyweight moves, you know big power moves and finishers, yeah, that's great but it's not Omega, it's entertaining. Second, mic skills are okay and his character is basically "nice guy" and it works really well because Bobbey Lashley is just a really good guy. But now we get into the main reason he gets a 9 and that is the fact that he is always super over with the audience. LA Knight got a 9 for this same reason and his promo skills got him there but Bobbey Lashley gets over because he's just a good guy and also, when he's in the ring, he mauls you to death. Everywhere he has been he has always been successful. In WWE, he had a great 2021 run and in AEW, a company that no one thought he would get over in, he got over with the audience, which surprised everyone considering that in ring work comes there first. He is a truly exceptional wrestler and it's impressive how he has found success in nearly every company he's been in."

His ring work might not be on the level of the greatest of all time, he has been one of the most entertaining powerhouses in WWE or AEW in recent memory"

I don't think he is incredibly talented neither in the ring or on the microphone, but overall he can definitely be considered above average and a valuable asset for any company. When booked properly, Lashley looks powerful and dangerous, and an absolute credible threat."

Generic and uninspired in-ring performances, bland mic work, and no uniqueness to him. He needs to be carried by a manager to at least look intimidating."
JonahBlack wrote on 25.11.2024:
[7.0] "The entire act around Bobby Lashley since the Hurt Business was founded probably is better than a 7, but on his own, Bobby is still lacking something that will get him to that 8+ tier. He's a less talented and less charismatic Brock Lesnar. Or a more talented, but less charismatic Brian Cage. Surrounding him with people like MVP or Lio Rush can make the act far more than the sum of its parts, so the individual rating doesn't really tell the whole story."
TreyHalo wrote on 26.10.2024:
[8.0] "Bobby being so low is something I seriously just don't really understand, I think he's genuinely great and while he's far from the perfect wrestler and at times wasn't the best, he had enough runs where he was genuinely one of the absolute best monsters in the entire world that it MORE than makes up for the few subpar runs he had early on, Bobby is fully capable of a good to great wrestling match and has shown it on a multitude of occasions, and he was always a great heel and a believable top guy, so again I really don't get the low rating on here... 8/10."

[6.0] "His initial run during the mid 2000s wasn't great. WWE really tried to push him, but personally I felt as if he was lacking the "it" factor. He looked great, you knew he had potential in-ring, but he was just lacking in the whole character department. Hard to say if he would've imporved in the WWE if he had stuck around after his injury in 2007. Going to TNA a little while later wasn't a great move, because again... he didn't have the "it" factor and was still missing something. Few years went by, came back to TNA and really began to develop into what he is now. In-ring wise, he's fairly decent. Mic worked improved ever so slightly, but he honestly needed a mouthpiece. His voice didn't suit him at all, and charisma on the mic was still pretty lacking. Having MVP paired up with him was a great choice, as he's fantastic on the mic and Lashley can do the rest in-ring. I enjoyed his WWE title run, they presented him the right way and he looked like a badass. His final year or so with WWE wasn't great. Didn't seem like HHH and co. were too interested in making him a mainstay in the main event scene, which is pretty crazy because he definitely could've thrived there under HHH. Maybe age played a factor, who knows. Overall, Bobby Lashley turned things around and improved a lot. Made the right decision to leave wrestling when he did, grew a lot as a performer and really came back to WWE a better version that he was previously. Mic work was never great, but aside from that... very solid wrestler."

ChadCash wrote on 16.09.2024:
"During Lashleys first WWE run he was pushed too soon too fast. He was impressive in his squash matches but when he had to have more competitive matches as he worked his way up the card, you could tell he was still so green. Its clear Vince saw money in him given how Lashley was integrated into the Vince/Trump stuff and the rivalry with Vince that followed it. That is why it is so crazy to me how soon after that Lashley left WWE. Over the next decade or so Lashley matured into a decent worker. The timing was bad as by the time he was back in the WWEs good graces they had completely lost the plot with the booking. Instead of being put in a money program with Brock he was chasing around Rusevs wife. They eventually course corrected with The Hurt Business but the moment to make Lashley a mega star had passed with his botched re-introduction to WWE. Lashley still had his title runs but he still felt a level below the Roman, Seth, and the Brocks in the WWE hierarchy."

His in-ring is just above average and has absolutely nothing innovative about it. His promos are bland and tasteless. His facial expressions are as non-existent as his acting prowess. Watching him as a manager is just as boring as his matches. How can you not be relevant with a physique like that? I can't remember any moment or highlight of his career that impact me. Even his title wins was boring and forgettable."

[8.0] "Incredible physique with an awesome presence, I remember when he debuted in the WWE and they pushed him as the second coming of Brock Lesnar. He was fairly green but could hang well enough when he worked with guys who could carry him. He was still mildly successful in his first run as a former United States Champion and 2 time ECW Champion although it was WWE's failed attempt at ECW. His biggest moment was arguably against Umaga in the "Battle of the Billionaires" at Wrestlemania 23 where Vince McMahon was in Umaga's corner and Donald Trump was in his corner. Lashley went over and the end result was Vince being shaved bald. Shortly after that he continued to fued with McMahon before being moved over to RAW though that wouldn't last long as Lashley got "injured" and left the company a few months later. All-in-all, I think Lashley was a guy they were intending to push to the tippy top of the company but he was just so green that it was hard for fans to get behind him despite the push he was getting. From there, Lashley went to TNA and was really able to reinvent himself. He also did some mixed martial arts fighting where he was able to be another example of a pro wrestler successfully transitioning into the MMA arena. Eventually Lashley found his way back to the WWE where, at the beginning, it was kind of a mixed bag. He was portrayed well and was booked in alot of dumb fueds but he was lightyears ahead of where he was when he first broke in. He won his first WWE Championship in 2020 and you really felt like this was the Lashley they wanted to push all those years ago. He still wasn't the most charismatic but he was intense and came across as real and he had MVP as his mouthpiece and The Hurt Business as his stable. The run felt a bit hampered by the Thunderdome and COVID but that's hardly Bobby's fault and he was protected and portrayed like a monster for the vast majority of the run. He was also able to FINALLY go one-on-one with Brock Lesnar and walk away with a victory. All in all, depite his first run being somewhat disappointing, I think Lashley is an incredible talent whose a legit athlete with a legit pedigree who was able to reinvent himself and come back stronger for his second run in the company."

He's a lot cleaner now, he still stumbles on the mic occasionally but he's improved there, too, and damn it, he looks great. The man is just jacked and handsome and the fact that he's gotten decent in the ring means you can really put him anywhere and do anything well enough. He's not the greatest at ring or mic work but he's decent enough at everything + has the best body in wrestling which more than makes up for it. Bobby.PNG in his current entrance is genuinely funny and I feel like maybe only my group of friends pop for it every time it appears statically on screen. If he were just a bit better in the ring or a bit better on the mic I would want him to get one more world title run."

With his current run in the company, he has been pushed as a mega star with paper view matches with the likes of Brock Lesnar. He still delivers a fatal-looking spear and makes his moves look sharp and solid. He does slightly lack charisma on the microphone, which is why he needed MVP as a mouthpiece for a while. Plus, the Thunderdome Era worked wonders for him in more ways than one; he managed to find some comfortability with multiple title wins."

I think everyone would agree Bobby Lashley had a rough start in WWE, he was introduced during a transitional time of professional wrestling. If he first appeared on NXT or even one of the territories of the past, he would have been a standout mega-star without question. In terms of athleticism Lashley can hold his own, nothing too fancy but he certainly gets the job done and tries his best. His background in MMA is certainly impressive, thus making him one of the few legitimate tough guys in this world. Without a doubt his look is amazing, being carved from stone with zero body fat. Yet most people really rag on Bobbo's speaking ability. Shame on them, as Lashley is a soft-spoken man without much hostility towards life itself.
