[5.0] "Sweetan was a solid brawler in the style of his time and had a good rendition of his signature piledriver, and was very effective in drawing heel heat, which all paid off with working with many of the greats of the era and holding a multitude of singles and tag titles in the territory days. While not specifically tied to his rating as a performer, it should be noted that he was an overwhelmingly negative presence as a human being both in and outside of wrestling, ranging from being singled out as a backstage bully by multiple sources (including Jim Ross, Jim Duggan and Col. DeBeers), to charges of abuse in his personal life (including a conviction for sexual assault of his daughter)."

[7.0] "He fit the bruiser name for sure. He was rugged, mean, nasty heel who looked every bit of the role he was supposed to be playing. He acted like it also every time he was in the ring. What was interesting about him was that he was one of the first people to take a heel finish move, the piledriver, get the move over, and use it as part of his transition to turn babyface because the fans loved it. That's how he ended up with the Mr. Piledriver nick name. He used "Bang Your Head" by Quiet Riot as a theme song right when it first came out and whenever you heard that song play, you always expected someone to be on the receiving end of a piledriver. I won't comment on him as a human being. I'll keep it solely to him as a performer."

[0.0] "What do you expect me to say? He's a pedophile, a decent wrestler I might add, but just like the below poster stated, it doesn't make up for the acts he committed against his daughter."

[3.0] "A decent brawler, nothing special. Held several titles during his career. His piledriver got good heat. Though having nothing to do with his in-ring work, Sweetan was a bully backstage, so that removes a few points. Really not alot to say about this guy, but from what I've seen, he was, like his brawling work, nothing special. A 3."

[6.0] "a competent brawler from the 1970s. a bit of a jerk i guess but that helped him draw heat. never got a run in a major promotion during the cable boom so hes forgotten to modern day fans but my limited viewings from back in the day let me comfortably grade him a 6. held some territory titles... worked some main events... hung around a couple decades... was decent"
