[10.0] "This promo exchange between two of the most believable promos in the history of wrestling had me genuinely rooting for Kingston to beat Moxley. Even to this day, this promo and really this entire feud is a big reason I always root for Kingston in every program and match he is in. When Kingston (hopefully) wins the AEW World Championship, I will be beyond elated. He deserves it more than most."
[10.0] "This felt so real. From the way they moved and talked they acted like no one was there (there was literally no one there but you know what I mean). This is an interaction you could have with your friends. With your family. This had me gasping I mean Moxley had balls bringing Eddies mother into the occasion. I loved how they incorporated real life elements into this promo and they brought up how they were friends. I loved Eddie intense emotion in this segment. I love how he breaks down as he tells Moxley what hes going to do with the belt when he gets it and I love how the emotion is real. It's not forced. It's not melodramatic. Simply perfect."
[10.0] "One of the best promos in the history of AEW and pro wrestling. For 7 minutes I forgot wrestling wasn't real and everytime I listen to this promo I have goosebumps. It's just perfect: they totally destroyed the rule of "I talk and then you talk" by screaming at each other, Kingston turning his back in Moxley and looking at the camera and the fans in attendance with a look on his face that send shivers down my spine and the line "You made a promise to your mother that you can't keep" was amazing with a crazy delivery by Moxley . All the things the said were very personal and deep, amazing stuff."
[8.0] "This was a good promo done by both men, really making their feud feel legitimate and real. However I found the ending lacking. It might be a bit short, but it had great escalation."
Starker Vibe insgesamt."
[10.0] "Really impressive, both side showed their characteristics and cooperated well. Moxley was the storyteller, using Psychological Tactics and showing his personal charm, while Eddie was the one that made all of this real and touching. Everybody knew that Kingston won't win the title, but the story between him and Moxley was really attractive. One of the best storyline in AEW, it will remain in the history of this promotion."
[10.0] "One of the best promos I've ever seen. So raw, it feels like a real argument between two real people, it feels disturbingly human and natural. The part at the end when Eddie screams 'this is real! ' gives me goosebumps. Absolutely amazing drama, and pro wrestling pontification at it's best."
[10.0] "This is my favorite promo in AEWs short history. You want to talk about wrestling being real, these two are as real as it gets. There is real emotion behind each and every word that shout at one another. This isnt some call-and-response promo, say a sentence and wait for the crowd to react, this is raw, uncut, pure intensity in one promo. This is how they should be. Absolutely a 10. Probably an 11 in my book."
[10.0] "Eddie's sell of Moxley getting personal completely makes this segment. The framing of Eddie with his back turned to Mox trying to keep it together as Mox dismantles Eddie's facade is brilliant television."
[10.0] "An instant all-time classic, to the point where writing a review of it feels redundant. Two of the greatest talkers in the business, unloading the full weight of well-told story onto each other. Real life details get blended in seamlessly, and the performances are utterly convincing throughout. This is a genuine masterpiece of a promo, succeeding in adding depth to the characters, upping both the stakes and intrigue of their upcoming match, and forming an iconic back-and-forth that ties these two men together, possibly forever. This is a landmark moment in both men's careers, especially Kingston's, acted to a tee and one of the best examples in modern wrestling of people nailing character work in a way that feels visceral and believable. Simply superb."
[10.0] "This was fantastic and felt so real, Eddie Kingston was a made man as soon as he cut that promo on Cody, but here he feels like a top star against Moxley."
