I thought they did a nice job telling a story with MJF selling the back injury to set up the finish since the Walls of Jericho is a move that focuses on the lower back, so it made sense for it to be used as the finish and MJF tapped out for the first time in his AEW career. |

Bei aller darstellerischen Kraft geht dem Mann aus Winnipeg mit zunehmendem Alter natürlich langsam die Athletik und somit auch die Präzision verloren. Das Match wirkt von seiner Seite aus nicht mehr besonders flüssig, seine Walls sind mittlerweile auch eher eine gewöhnliche Boston Crab. Natürlich ist er in der Defensive noch veritabel, na klar kann er mit Mimik und Gestik noch Dinge tun und Emotionen bewegen, wie neun von zehn deutlich jüngere Performer es nicht können. Aber er ist dann halt auch nicht mehr der Typ für die ganz hochwertigen Grudge-Matches, wie man hier leider erkennen kann. MJF ist ein talentierter Erzähler, das Match in seiner handwerklichen Grobkörnigkeit alles andere als ein Stinker, auch wenn ich leider für diese Zumutung von Dusty-Finish einen Punkt abziehen muss. Ich hätte sehr gerne eine bessere Partie gesehen und auch kommentiert. |
