Anyways, there's a ton of great names who've brpught this belt recognition over the years via excellent storylines, matches, this thing was main event worthy for years. Still can be, but it isn't synonomous with any sorta excellence either. The division has been in a bad way for years."

A really good match to study for me. The one spot that didn't go as planned was very quickly taken advantage by the opponent, and that's what it is all about. [7.5]"

A great decision was made in letting him wear the crown in TNA, let's hope he runs with what he's given as he always has because he could be a generational champ if all goes well."

[5.0] "This was a more reigned in episode which helped at about an hour and 22 minutes. Some decent wrestling with the Paris match with Jordan Oliver/Rocky Romero and the WJCT Studios with Mark Davis/Ortiz being the two best of the show. There was at least some weekly progression with them hyping Deonna/Emi Sakura for the following week. Many acts continue to still feel as if they are running in place which continues to hinder the promotion. The prospect of a women's tag team division is also not very promising when they already struggle to effectively showcase the three titles/divisions that they have for the women already."

Best singles bout I've ever seen outta Kerry Von Erich, easily, and one where he shows some real range as well. Jumbo Tsuruta was his usual all-timer self and all of the stuff involving him being a cocksure bastard and him struggling with the Iron Claw was magic. I just wish it had a clean finish."

Davis did deliver a particularly rough looking powerbomb on the apron on Ortiz during the match. Mark Davis continues to be hyped as undefeated in ROH at 14-0 but nothing has come of it yet with him getting some revenge here for the Don Callis Family following Kingston pinning Trent on the previous show. 5.5-6"

[9.0] "A thriller of a main event. Wrestling isn't complicated when you keep it simple: the main thing, the main thing. Very happy Sami finally won his first world title in the WWE. It should have happened two years ago, but at least now we know this won't get dragged on forever since he is now a 2x WWE champion. How we got here was quite frustrating tho, but since it led to this, I can't be too mad about that. Cody's best performance in quite some time, and boy, he needed this. Haven't liked how he has approached his stuff post Mania 41 till now, so this was quite refreshing seeing a match of his be relatively clean and not too tropey. Gunther was Gunther, another rock-solid outing from him displaying his dominance and brute force, but it's kind of a shame he ended up getting dragged into this if he wasn't going to end up winning the belt. He will be ok tho, but it's gonna be interesting to see what's next for him. Sami Zayn was the babyface in this match. This was his 10th try at winning a world title at the time, and I really liked how the commentary team built this narrative up throughout the match. The storytelling in this match was incredible. Gunther trying to get Sami Zayn out of the way so he can focus on Cody and finally beat him, Cody doing his best to delay the inevitable, Sami Zayn scratching and clawing his way at another chance to finally win the big one. I remember people complaining about the finish, but to me it made perfect sense, when you factor in how Sami Zayn got the match, and the fact that he was "never" supposed to win the big one or even be in this position to begin with. You also gotta remember that Sami Zayn just lost a chance at winning the WWE title in Saudi several months ago too, so there was real doubt that if he lost again, who knows if he would ever get a chance at winning the title ever again. It came out of nowhere, so the way he won it via roll-up was built up like a huge shocker; it reminded me of when Darby beat Cody for the TNT title. Cody has also been prone to losing title matches this way, so the finish wasn't worrisome to me whatsoever. Cody and Gunther underestimated Sami from the very beginning, and in the end, the man they overlooked the most was the one standing tall with the championship in a country that loved him. One of Dusty's fabled kids finishing his story against Dusty's actual kid was a nice touch too. A match saver and match stealer on a pretty bland show up until the main event. This was awesome. Everyone played their roles brilliantly, and this match ended up being one of WWE's best matches of the year. ****1/2"

Satan told Inoue to book a 15-minute Time Limit Draw for Fiony and God put this challenge on Debbie Keitel to see if she could handle it. Fiony has some stiff strikes that flash every once in a while but she's awkward doing most stuff. She has a solid dropkick too, and also did a meteora and a scuffed Bank Statement including the hand stomp spot. Keitel maintained control most of the match and dared Fiony to fight back but varied up the heat to avoid making it boring."

It's great when everyone ends up in the ring together, but otherwise, the constant cutting between individual one-on-one exchanges means you end up missing a lot of the action. [9.0] "This match is insane, it's certainly one of the best six-man tag matches to ever happen in the US, a very strong contender for that honor, and it's just an absolutely fun and heated affair, part of the legendary Midnight Express vs RnR Express feud, and the addition of Ernie Ladd and Jim Duggan was really cool, completely changed the dynamic and increased a lot of elements to the bout. The crowd was incredibly hot as always in Houston, those guys are really loud, and they were invested and reaction to everything here, it was a tag match based on heat and feelings, just like southern tag bouts usually are. Ernie Ladd is huge and every time he was put down the crowd went nuts, that was fantastic, and the babyface team was on fire in the beginning of the match, they were very electric, but the entire thing as a whole was filled with awesome moments, very well wrestled and with awesome bits. The beginning featured a house show style, and I loved the team work to pin Jim Duggan there, everything was really fun and enjoyable to watch, Duggan had an awesome performance as well, and it was incredible when he cleaned the ring and hit his pose. Morton suffered a severe work there at the end, he was isolated and bleeding, and the team of MX and Ladd combined pretty well their offense to punish the guy. The finish is also great, with a little revenge there, because Cornette was about to use the chloroform spray once again, just like he did two weeks ago to make the MX the new champions, but this time it completely backfired and Morton used the spray on Eaton to win the match, fantastic - {****1/2}"

I understand that Will is very fond of repeating what has already worked, but here is a very clear example that it does not always work successfully.9.6 There's a lot of bad drama here. Will breaks off contact with the Riders at the beginning, but during the match he doesn't show any particular aggression towards Moxley, and John himself works quite casually. Interventions are somewhere on the same level, and they also do not occur at the moment of the highest tension. As in the case of Omega, Will decided to lie down, endure the first half, while Jon slowly dominated and I don't care about this, because I know, that any work on Will's something will be in the trash at the second half. Yeah, second half Ospreay arrange his favorite 50/50 bombing techniques, but here it comes to some kind of absurdity. At least John won the last match by dropping Will's neck on everything he could, but here he lost after champion being hit with a briefcase, after a stomp, after a full Death Ride. It looked ridiculous, to be honest, and the end, where Moxley gives up, resigns himself, almost smiles and turns to Osprey, is such a tasteless CINEMA moment that I just don't have more words."

Yamato controlling most of the match in this slow and methodical technical display was entertaining as it put Kzy on the back foot out 4.53the gate. Kzy had moments of compelling comebacks but most were futile and majority of the match remained in Yamato's control. I think my main issue stems from Kzy's final overcoming of Yamato's ring generalship just felt a bit unearned because of how one sided the match was. I just didn't find Kzy's underdog comeback in the end all that believable I guess"

I don't consider that match to be anything special or important, BUT it was quite competent and working, just like this match, but no matter how paradoxical it was, the same factor of not the greatest expressiveness plays a negative role here. The girls perfectly wove hardcore into their usual brawling, nothing fundamental changed during the match and the structure, but I just saw these subjects, these moments more than once. It may not be as similar to other hardcore AEW-style matches, but one way or another it causes a persistent feeling of deja vu. They are not creative, but at the same time they are not Rina Yamashita or Risa Sera, they are not ready to bleed heavily and put their whole soul into it. I understand them, I'm just saying that hardcore, on the other hand, doesn't take me for its physical component, so in the end, this addition to their previous match simply doesn't give them significant bonuses in my eyes."

It was a lackluster match thanks to Raquel, who moves like she's underwater, can't sell or hit her spots, and has no charisma or crowd connection. They are running a rematch on RAW #1731. Why? She did nothing to make Sol look better. God, Raquel as a champion would be so dull and dismal. He looked like a star here who could defeat a man of Kazuchika's level and Kazuchika addmit it near the end, and his family in ringside only added points to him from the audience and turned the Sicilian maniac into the hero of the day, and the moment with his daughter, who asks permission from her mother and shows two middle fingers to Okada, is almost the highlight of the whole show. They used every trick in their arsenal extremely skillfully, for example using of dropkicks and knee strikes looked different each time and had a different effect. I'll say it again, watching Tomasso transform into such a charming underdog was unforgettable. I hope that his work and the fire in his eyes will soon be appreciated."

The previous match ended with an injury, and then Dani Luna makes her debut, and listen, I don't want to say anything bad about her. I've seen her before and she's quite a talented girl, but how reasonable is it to give a debut to a girl who is known mostly in Britain on a fairly large PPV in USA. Chicago just didn't give a damn and I can't blame them. Otherwise, it's a normal match, a match at the TBS title level. I just want to point out that Persephone's positioning in AEW is now paradoxically better than in CMLL. She's still a villain, but at least she uses punches and power moves that she's good at, rather than just running away from a fight. Luna is also showing herself well, she is a tough and smart girl, they built a strong match together, which was sometimes spoiled by Britt, who tried too hard to draw attention to her person. Nevertheless, the match is a little pale despite the hard work of the participants, and Dani's performance as a debutante, designed to show her strengths, is also not entirely successful because we already have the third British woman who hits, make lariats and hard throws, while, with all due respect to Luna, Jamie and Alex are better. than she is."

To be honest, it wasn't needed here, Borden was just here to show him to the general public and they might have continued to watch him on Dynamite, but the match itself was just cliched and uninteresting. Knight and Fletcher are just not a team, at least not yet, their dominance over Darby was rather boring, and Steven, although he looks like a superstar, still needs to train, because he greener than grass. [10.0] "Gresham makes a great choice to come back from the stroke that changed his life. I hope he doesn't have to go through this anymore, and good luck to him. Commentators have repeated 100 times that Fuminori Abe is a dream match for Jonathan, and in a sense it was obvious. He enjoyed every second he spent in the ring. They both have great wrestling habits and watching any stage of the match is incredibly exciting. Fuminori can sometimes behave stupidly, and Gresham even plays along with him a couple of times, which only makes the situation funnier, but over time Jonathan becomes more brutal, and Fuminori is no stranger to working from below. Gresham tactically chooses Abe's leg to work with, and Abe tries to protect it in every possible way and offset the Octopus's success. They are very good at telling this story using quite effective methods. Gresham is not very creative in terms of his attack set, but he adjusts his approach to his opponent and that's why his F4L looks so dangerous. Abe sometimes defends himself very beautifully, his retaliatory ankle lock translated into German suplex was cool. Plus, the selling of the leg was pretty good at the right moments, and the match itself was built in such a way as to weave the sore leg there neatly and efficiently. I liked the ending, where Gresham got fed up with Fuminori's behavior and they started beating each other up, and in the end Jonathan just started driving Abe's knee into the canvas until the referee stopped the fight by his decision, and it turned out that Gresham was shown to be very dangerous, and Fuminori remained a fighter until the end."

[10.0] "I love sprints, and I appreciate sprints, especially in today's world, because it's an almost lost art of telling a complete story and doing it well in a short time. Now we are gradually moving away from big timings and matches of 35+ minutes have ceased to be commonplace, but this still has not become a classic, but it should be. If there was a MOTY award for matches of less than 15 minutes, then I would give it to this match without question. On his anniversary, Yoshimura literally revives Zeus, his teacher, who performs much less often, especially in single matches and they just try to kill each other. Absurdly, one of the details of the match that attracted me is that Naomi and Zeus are not working at the same pace, but it only benefits because Zeus is a striker and a provocateur. He is charged, he is energetic, he breaks Yoshimura's pace, even when he is sitting on a chair and about to start moving, Zeus flies in and imposes his rules. In a short period of time at the beginning, they were able to bring tension, tension, and more tension. One moment with a power struggle on hands was extremely vivid. How Zeus was confident in his abilities, how aggressively he dominated at the beginning and how filigreed Yoshimura returned, showing his grin. Well, the audacity, he dared to consider himself ready to kick his teacher's ass, and this led to a segment of absolute chaos behind the ring, where people did not have time to run in panic while the wrestlers walked between the rows and threw chops at each other, sometimes throwing back chairs. They picked up the pace in the ring and then moved on to the brutal chopfest. In theory, it was intended to show the resilience of Yoshimura, and although the moment when the grimace of pain turns into a smile and Naomi removes the stripes is true gold, I still want to pay attention to the resilience of Zeus. Naomi plastered his chest with every chop and his chest looked creepy at the end of the fight, although he struck less, while the teacher steadfastly withstood it all and remained the most terrifying figure who does not fall under the onslaught of a student. What I'm talking about, I often write that wrestlers "bumped into each other" and although they often really go all out, it's more of a turn of phrase, but not in the case of this couple, who just crashed heads in the heat of the fight. If you make sense of all of the above and reduce it to something simple, then I love this match because it's just badass wrestlers fighting here. It's a very fine line and they're right where they need to be and I enjoy watching badass wrestlers do badass things and it's something magical, it captures on some deep subconscious level. Osaka rules!"

[10.0] "I'm a strange person, so I don't hesitate when I see someone forcing Masaaki Mochizuki to wrestle on the mats in 2026. I can understand people's disappointment, but based on my experience watching the Tenryu Project, for some reason this is exactly what I was waiting for, quite simple wrestling, still well thought out and elegant, but it doesn't really challenge you when watching, although these days it's something to look at. I was waiting for Yano to do his weird stuff again, and he did it. I would say that in fact, this antagonism of Masaaki and Keita's approach played into the hands of the match, and although it is strange, it has its own charm. And it's still a dream match. I think a younger Mochizuki would have used a lot more kicks, but I really liked that they left those kicks as his most important weapon to some extent, and to be honest, I saw enough Mochizuki matches, but here his kicks felt different and he invested in every punch and strike. His wrestling was also quite good, I was even surprised that in some places he could look so confident against Yano's background. Keita is still a good old provocateur who drags his opponent to the canvas with all his spades and implements his winning plan there. I liked that Keita never fully solved Mochizuki's riddle, but the veteran was able to find the necessary keys to victory. Keita tried to work with his neck, it was creative as usual with all these transitions and how naturally Yano connects it all into a single whole. He tried to unexpectedly roll up the challenger, tried to beat him up, and I liked this fight in a British phone booth at the end, where both fighters tried to intercept the fight at very close range. In general, for the first time in two months, I was so immersed in watching the match, noticing the details and decisions that the wrestlers make. It's not Yano's or Mochizuki's best work even in recent years, but in my eyes it's still that kind of mesmerizing chess game from Keita, where his opponent could compete with him."

I liked his match against Musashi, it was just a well-balanced and well-played title fight with an emphasis on chops, and here there was something more unique, albeit with some reservations. Although I was surprised at the beginning when the wrestlers showed such an energetic and cool segment with simple grappling and a couple of elegant and ingenious reverse techniques, which we will see later. In my opinion, Marukan is a man without talent, but at the same time he has the necessary skills to work efficiently and, I assume, with a fairly bright head, at least he tried to get out of the situation with Sangre's eye beautifully, and I really liked the spontaneity and vivacity of this decision, and the Softman kept it in his head for a long time. He showed some more cool grappling techniques and I would say that the reversals in this match looked good from him, emphasizing the confrontation of experience and athleticism. Sangre, on the other hand, did well, he was in bandages and also had eye problems, but his skills are at a very high level. In my opinion, he skillfully diluted the simple and slow dominance of Marukan with his sharp attacks, and some of his retaliatory actions looked bold, fully consistent with his character. I liked many of the moments, starting from the targeting of Sangre's eye, some of the reversals and the vivacity of the wrestlers in their actions, but at the same time, the pace was really too slow in places and there was nothing to be done about it, because it was related to Sangre's eye, but also Marukan himself sometimes slowed down the match beyond measure and it was clear that his skills is at a fairly average level. There were some rough edges in his technique, and sometimes it has the desired effect, but sometimes it's just not the best moment."

I have nothing against SUSHI, especially in tag battles, but he is not material for a big serious fight. I was missing something really memorable, something that would give their match an identity, but it was just a fairly slow fight without any clear idea, it's annoying. They went back and forth, a couple of times Mizuki tried to do something, but SUSHI was just SUSHI and he just went with the flow in this fight. A few of his moves looked cool and pretty tough, but for me, the highlight had nothing to do with the match at all. Mizuki just found a SUSHI fan and it was really funny, but nothing more."

He had already performed some of his old tricks at the beginning, which are usually perceived as not quite clean, but the crowd was delighted. Bane felt his opponent perfectly, so their big match was quite a success, all their sequences were clean and powerful, and I think Eita really benefited from the experience of the DRAGONGATE. Besides the fact that it was a successful big match, it was a real celebration for Eita. He applied a large number of his techniques and even those that he had not done for a long time. There was a place for references, and how nice it is that Eita invested in all this as well as in that Tope Con Hilo when he flew away to the audience. They reacted to his every move, and he continued and continued to keep the crowd on high fire. Great audience feeling and extremely correct actions. With the increasing pace at the end, they added drama even for me, a person who knew the result in advance and this is almost an indicator of how successfully the wrestlers played their cards."

The segment with the Mizunami's chops at the beginning was very cool, in general, this time she used them even more than usual and, as always, was the main force of her team. It's nice that after a while Manami tried to take over Aniki's passion. It seems to me that this detail worked well for their teamwork and the match in general, where Manami also conducted chops, further pissing off Iwata. Takase was funny in some places, her exchange of blows with Ryo was quite strong, but in my opinion something was m4.20issing, but she and Mika managed to torment Manami well. Iwata was generally the main character of the entire match, at first suffering from chops, she attacked with more viciousness and in the end threw her entire arsenal at Manami, while she could only try to survive."

First of all why are all the backstage segments shot like an episode of GTV from the Attitude Era or one of those reality shows where they sneak in on the conversation? Whoever decided that bullshit should be exiled to a faraway island. Why the fuck is Jeff Hardy a heel? Who looks at Jeff and say this guy should be a top heel? Oh wait I forgot. [10.0] "[4.75*] Beautiful. There's a concept me and my friends kinda created called "The Oiwa Effect". This effect consists in the desire of watching and talking more and more about wrestling, given the new layers these New Japan kids are creating. We used Oiwa here but it could've been Tsuji or Uemura too, which are currently my Top 3 best male wrestlers on earth. Before the rise of these guys, I was kinda tired of today's wrestling world. But they reignited my fire. This match alongside the G1 Final and many other of their matches are just a new type of wrestling. It's a new formula that uses classic attributes, meshed-up with the modern wrestling of today. They have classic, "Nick Bockwinkel" elements consisting of the absolute highest level of wrestling fundamentals such as the basic moves, the selling and stuff like that, they have the modern New Japan Epic formula elements, specially during the ending stretches... it's a whole new mix. It's something I've never seen before exactly like *that* but it's such a complete joy to watch. In this specific match, I fell in love with Tsuji's rib-work. When we see limb-work focused matches they're usually on the legs or arms, but I loved how he changed his strategy given he has signature moves that target the opponent's ribs. Oiwa's selling was also perfect, it was incredibly consistent and believable, creating drama and adding to the psychology. This is why I say they're masters of the basics. These are all basic wrestling concepts, with the difference that they apply them with such a perfection instead of letting them just "be there". Oiwa's work with the Headlock and his focus on Tsuji's arm was also excellent. This was a chess game between two perfectionist strategists, and I had an incredible joy watching this 35-min masterpiece. For the last 10 minutes, they kept the ground work but added the dramatic elements of 2010's epics between Tana, Okada and all of these guys. Match had some amazing heart stopping false finishes that made me scream. The finish came at the exact right time and although I really wanted Oiwa to win, inside kayfabe Tsuji had the best strategy and performance. He just was the better man. Impeccable classic bout."

Kato and ISHIN, in my opinion, are quite convincing villains, I like watching the segments with their dominance, but here they did not show enough bloodthirstiness or disrespect towards their rivals, I would say that they fulfilled the necessary minimum for big heel champions. The veterans, for their part, also didn't do anything special, Genki and Kanda don't seem like a wrestlers, who have one more great performance in their pocket, but I'm sure they're capable of more, than that. Despite all of the above, the heart of the match was pumping blood regularly, using the absolute base, but a very good, strong base, which was enough for relative success. Again, moments with the rules of AJPW, some of the tricks of the veterans were organized extremely well, Hariguchi transformed the final segment into his performance of the underdog. Gajadokuro sometimes went through All Asia champions very painfully and looked like they should, so the match was just average, no more, no less."
