[9.0] "Look dude, its a Bucks match so you know what its gonna be, you got Rick Knox in there who doesnt enforce any rules so poor JR has to keep saying "why is everyone in the ring" in various ways because hes used to psychology. Oh Jim, this is AEW, whats psychology? Anyway, a lot of this was quite good in terms of this style of tag wrestling. They did do more storytelling than usual even if I dont particularly care about their friendship. Some nice tag team sequences and stuff. The crowd was there for it so that was good. As far as the kickout at 1 here, I still hate it like I always do but I could at least sort of understand it. Kenny feels how they're disrespecting him and Ibushi or whatever but that wasn't explained very well to the audience. So yeah, as far as Bucks matches go, this was good"

[8.0] "Excellent match overall, with great atmosphere and unbelievable chemistry between all four guys. The action is solid, with seemingly endless, beautiful sequences from any combination of the four, all sustained at a consistently high pace throughout. The match follows a very similar formula to the one with Kota Ibushi, although here the action is a little sharper and more precise, albeit slightly less compelling. Ultimately, it feels considerably less dramatic than that Golden Lovers match and, as a result, lacks some of the unpredictability and authenticity of what they had previously achieved."

Hangman, Kenny, and the Bucks all gave their best performances. The storytelling too was incredible, some of the best story work. There were so many great spots in this match that I couldn't even begin to name them. Masterclass from all four men, absolutely incredible."

[9.0] "This match is a profound example of in-ring storytelling that earned its Instant Classic rating by flawlessly progressing from a tense, almost friendly exhibition among former partners to a desperate, emotional war for the AEW World Tag Team Championship. The teamwork was sharp, the psychology was incredible, and the action was punctuated by unforgettable, dramatic sequences, particularly Hangman's shocking use of Kenny Omega's One Winged Angel on Matt Jackson. However, the match was prevented from reaching the 5 star tier by the visible sloppiness of a major high-spot--the attempted Indytaker on the ramp--and the broadcast team's refusal to acknowledge the miscue, which detracted from the realism of an otherwise perfect emotional journey."

[9.0] "(4.5*) While i dont think its the best tag team match ever, it is one of the best ive seen. Besides all of the insane action in this, i think what makes this match is the story. Everyone involved in this has some kind of role to be played. 4 of the best of friends battling one another, I liked the segments between Kenny and Nick. The meltzer driver on the ramp was a neat spot, everyone played their role extremely well."

Matts sadistic beating of Kenny and Hangman, Nick trying to end this match as soon as possible to stop his brother and Hangman, Kennys fighting spirit saving Hangman and himself multiple times over and Hangmans anger and insecurity leading him to put on his best performance yet. Truly amazing. So excited to see where they go from here with this story."

[10.0] "Perfection. The absolute gold in a tag team match that would be difficult for one to find elsewhere. The storytelling was superb both within and without the context of the Elite's journey. Not only that, but it features arguably the best "kickout at one" I think will ever occur. The tease of Page turning heel was super engaging, and him hitting the One Winged Angel was cool as hell. This is my comfort match and arguably one of the best I've ever seen, period. THE definition of a modern classic. [*****+]"

[9.0] "One of AEW's greatest matches in terms of form, structure, and storytelling. It doesn't have the five star atmosphere I critically look for in wrestling, but damn is it close. Matt Jackson just looked at his hands NXT melodrama-style too long. God, I could watch all four of these guys wrestle all the time there's so much chemistry, history, and storybeats in every pairing. Even in just Matt and Nick themselves, the way Matt is more passionate/heated while Nick is more focused is such an excellent dynamic. It created a different energy whenever anybody tagged in and out. Beautiful tag team wrestling. ****3/4"

Gave me vibes of the match three of the four of them were in two years before with Kota Ibushi at Strong Style Evolved (a match that I prefer slightly to this one). There was even a call back to that match with the Golden Trigger. This is the kind of match I wish the Bucks would have more often, because they're really good at it and it's a much better style than the no-selling spot fests that they have a reputation for. Either way, this still gets a ten. Damn good match."

I've said thousands of times that I hate the young bucks, but I can admit they can have good matches, and this is one of those matches. Kenny Omega and Adam Page were obviously great here cause they're great wrestlers, but also a great tag team. The sequences in this match were great. I love tag team wrestling, and this was great."

[9.0] "[4.5*] Storytelling (the most important thing there, which may surprise a lot of people), mat-wrestling, tag-team work, progression, development, pacing exchanges throughout the bout, slow segments, fast segments, of course the classic spotfest part, nearfalls, kickout at 1 (the best I have ever seen, tho, a lot better than the random Ospreay Dynamite ones), drama, emotion it was just so fucking complete. I see people complaining that the match was very long and had slow-paced segments and this may be one of the biggest reasons why I loved it so much, because people expected them to do a full PWG-style flippy-shitty spotfest with Superkick parties and Meltzer Drivers, but they went on a different route, they prioritized the story, the story was more important than the match itself, something that people complains that The Elite never does. This is the peak of the lore of the people who created this company, mate. All-time wrestling match."

What this match had over 1991 was a fantastic story going in and then adding layers to it during the match. Not only is the in ring action superb, the nuances during were just as good. The best moment is Kenny kicking out of the Golden Trigger at one because he was so pissed at the Bucks for doing it. Truly amazing match!"

[9.0] "There are some things the Young Bucks are pretty good at, regardless of the outcome. The high-flying moves, the timing, and the creativity are top notch, and if they get these things to work with the rest of the match, it really works. And this match was my first way of understading the praise they receive. The storytelling led to some cool moments that helped the match gain a great momentum. But the biggest part of it was how much actually happened, a very good pacing but with some full of action moments, for a 30 minute match it didn't feel like it dragged for one bit. I can also point it out how many good and creative spots this match had, the combinations and results really impressed me. One of my first impressions of Adam Page and I liked his style. The ref counting to 4 multiple times threw me off, and the exagerated kick-outs (like the V-Trigger/Buckshot Lariat combo) also annoyed me, but I'm annoying, so whatever"

But this was a tag team wresting clinic with storytelling and emotion from both parties. I think this is the second best tag team match in AEW history behind FTR vs Jay White/Juice Robinson. 9/10 and please Tony Khan start booking the tag team division better again.."

[10.0] "This is probably the best match of the entire history of AEW. And it's like, kinda hard to argue with that. The industry was build because of The Elite, there's four members of The Elite here, one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, probably the best tag team in the world and a young and super talented wrestlers that years later showed as the best wrestler AEW ever build. Strange to say or even think that, but the most important thing in this match was actually the storytelling. The story told by both wrestlers was impecable. The moment where Matt put his hands on Omega, literally hitting his friend without even noticing how far he went just to win this match, how badly he was hurting his already injured friend that even his brother came to alert him, boy, this is peak wrestling, you don't see that much often. Shout out for who the hell manage to did this match, because it was truly a peak idea to put Adam Page to be the most important piece here. He was the one who conduct the feud, he was the reason why this happenned, good friend of Omega, not as good with the Bucks, damn, that was awesome. I don't know what to say right now and I don't want to be just throwing spoilers here, but this is what AEW is about. If you want to introduce someone to AEW, enjoy that is match is actually running for free in the youtube and go watch it, that is pure perfection. A FUCKING five stars match for me and honestly, the standard of perfection. Wow, just wow."

[10.0] "One of those matches that you can really never take away from any of the four. All four guys brought everything and wrestled at their absolute best. For example, you could hate the Young Bucks, think they're corny or stale, but this is one of those matches that you have to admit they were at the very least pretty good in. Kinda like how Star Wars prequel haters can say all they like how bad they think they are but have to admit that Revenge of the Sith did things pretty well. I digress. I don't know if I'd go into saying it's one of the best tag team matches of "all time". It could be to some, It's certainly one the best of the last decade. Among all the rating inflation from WON this one is accurate with a consistent ratio of stars to fan ratings. Not like, for example, MJF vs Will Ospreay on Dynamite getting a 5.75 stars and only having a fan score of 8.40 which is pathetic if you study the numbers. Again, I digress, this is just a point to support that this match is actually good and not overrated. Anyway... I don't know much regarding the backstory of the match besides, clearly Adam Page has beef with the Young bucks and even Kenny Omega, too. Of course I know all of them have been connected for years as part of Bullet Club and then the Elite. It's decent enough. Matt Jackson also is selling his back which he had been doing for at least two years prior. He was good with selling and had some good moments of overcoming pain like when he hit a double Northern Lights suplex and a triple floatover Northern Lights suplex to Adam Page on the ramp. Nick Jackson is the clear MVP of the match. He demands the attention of the audience every time he is in, and indeed, out of the ring. I especially liked moments when he handily took care of both opponents at one time. His moves were quick, realistic, and just looked really great. The Young bucks as a team were great at isolating and stopping tags as well as their usual double team offense. I liked how they have Kenny Omega's moves spotted and countered like when Matt negated a Rise of the Terminator mid-dive. Page was the better between himself and Omega. He had good intensity throughout with comebacks and quick yet powerful offense. He hit some big moves such as a moonsault to the outside on both Bucks and a really cool moonsault fallaway slam which got a great pop and a nearfall. I loved when he paid homage to Marty Scurll with the Just Kidding and following with the Crossface Chicken Wing. Then later on him hitting the One Winged Angel in Kenny's stead was pretty awesome, too. Kenny was good. He was intense as always which was good. He got the crowd going with V-Triggers and also a Tiger Driver. And who could ever forget the kickout at 1 after the Golden Trigger. Probably the most iconic thing AEW has ever done. The camera cuts to fans reactions were kinda cringe though. Lord, some of these people are dogs. I thought the ending was only the slightest bit anticlimactic with how it was just a quick Buckshot and a pin but that's okay. Those are some of the few bad things going in the match."

This was just amazing to watch, 30 minutes of pure graps' and it was the best 30 minutes of my life. Arguably one of the greatest tag matches to ever occur, and it's got the star power to back that up. I was far too hard on the Bucks before i started watching some of their best matches, but i can now realise that they are far too good at this shit. The high-flying moves, the chemistry that they have ( being brothers and all..) is undeniable and it makes their matches flow smoothly. My personal favourite spot in this match was Matt's three suplexes to Hangman on the ramp, it just looked so damn clean. That V-Trigger/Buckshot Lariat combo was a close second, that could have been the perfect ending to the match."

[10.0] "At this point in Hangman's saga, he has drifted away from The Elite as a stable and is struggling to get along with his own tag team partner. His drinking has noticeably become more frequent as well. I've seen this match a few times already and it's an absolute masterpiece. These four guys had developed great chemistry together and had a great story to support the action. Omega wants to keep the peace within the faction and is uncomfortable with Hangman's early aggression. The Bucks retaliate with venom of their own and work the match as heels the rest of the way. In 1966, Bob Dylan brought in a group of experienced Nashville session musicians to record "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands." These guys were used to recording three-minute tracks that featured a couple of verses and choruses. The band peaks in intensity at what they assumed would be the final chorus of the song, but Dylan just keeps fucking going and going. The final song is eleven minutes in length and the backing band had to maintain that peak intensity for the duration. This match is the "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands" of wrestling. They wrestle the entire thing like it's the last three minutes. There are no slow spots. It just keeps building and building and building until finally Hangman wrecks both Bucks with a Buckshot Lariat to put them down. After the match, Kenny joins The Bucks in the middle of the ring to make amends. Hangman refuses to join the huddle and seemingly teases a Buckshot Lariat on Kenny before making up with him on the ramp. If you watched this in a vacuum, you would think that a Hangman heel turn was on the horizon, but as we know, he ended up being the hero in this whole scenario. One of AEW's finest matches in the midst of its finest story."

The last great big match before Covid shutdowns occurred. This match also is the moment where it solidified Hangman Page as the future of AEW for certain. The first big match and chapter of the Hangman Page/Elite saga that would transform the companies direction over the next 20 months. The tease at the end of Hangman going to strike Kenny is such a what if twist of if the world didn't shut down is Kenny the one who goes heel? A great match and is still one of greatest in the companies history. *****"

[10.0] "Kenny and Nick start out with some Lucha inspired chain wrestling, but very congenial. Hangman comes in and Matt tags in, they do some chain wrestling as well, some good stuff, though a little sloppy, albeit a little by design. Hangmans not as congenial as Omega and spits in Matts face. Double leg takedown by Matt as he punches Hangman, Omega comes in to pull Matt off but Matt keeps punching him and Nick finally pulls him off. Nick gets tagged in, Hangman slaps him, returned with a spinning side kick, Matt tagged in and a double teamed dropkick and then a move on Kenny thats nice. Another tandem move by the bucks and then Matt hits a missile dropkick and then skins the cat to get a neckbreaker on Hangman while Nick holds onto him. Page starts targeting Matts lower back, which he had been selling for years at this point. Hangman aggressively tags in Omega by slapping his chest instead of his hand, Kenny hits a running backbreaker, tags Hangman in who hits a double sledge across the spine and clears off Nick from the apron before sending Matt to the outside. Hangman throws Matt against the guardrail where he hits his lowerback and then clears off the table to send Matt through it, but Omega intervenes. He comes back in the rings and they trade chops to Matt. Matt blocks Kennys but Page hits Matt in the lower back. Matt goes for the double norther lights suplex but his lower back is too sore to hit it, Omega and page beat down his back but then Matt hits Omega and Page with the double suplex, does more damage to himself than to either of them, and tags Nick in who proceeds to do some great 1 v 2 offense on both guys, including a springboard facebuster and a moonsault to the outside on Omega before hitting a sunset flip into a sharpshooter, but Omega hits a Kotaru crusher to break it up. Kenny tags in, goes for his Tope, but hen Matt cuts him off before getting hit with a Rana. As Omega goes for the Tope again Matt superkicks him, Nick rolls him back into the ring for a pin and a kickout at two by Kenny. Some action and then Matt spits at Hangman while hes on the apron, Nick pulling Hangman off the apron before Omega can tag in, then Matt hits a piledriver on Kenny for a two count pin attempt. Nick tags in, prevents Kenny from getting a tag for a while before Kenny sends Nick into Hangmans boot and then hits a spinebuster on him, tags Hangman in, who delivers some punches to both Nick and Matt, hits a springboard on Nick and then a fallaway slam on Matt, springboard crossbody to the outside on Nick and then clotheslines Matt in the ring over the top rope. Hangman wrenches the rope to get both guys to the outside and then hits the big orihara moonsault onto both Nick and Matt on the outside of the ring and lands on his feet. Hangman comes in and turns Nick inside out with a big lariat, throws Nick into the corner, and then tells Matt to come into the ring. They trade punches in the middle of the ring, a cross chop to the throat by Matt, Hangman gives him a boot to the face, clotheslines him in the corner and Omega tags in, Omega throws Matt into Hangman who hits him with a discuss forearm, hes rebounded to Omega who tosses him up to Hangman and basically Hangman just tosses Matt back and he falls on the back of his head. Doctor bomb by Omega and a kick out at two by Matt. Hangmans tagged back in, gets reversed by Matt and then Nick hits a gamengiri on Page and a super kick on Omega. Nicks thrown off the ropes, lands on his feet, and hits Hangman with a destroyer in something Nick makes look impossibly smooth. Hangman goes up to the top rope to hit something but Matt holds him so Nick can super kick him, hit a MCMG move, and Omega breaks up the pin. Hangman blocks some Bucks offense with some creative kicks of his own, goes for the chicken wing on Matt, but Nick hits a big 450 splash on Page to break it up. Impossibly smooth by Nick and Matt. Increidble tandem offense by Hangman and Kenny including a blockbuster suplex by Page and then a powerbomb into a v-trigger pin thats broken up by Matt. Omega tags in, Nick moves out of the way of the Vtrigger and then lands on his feet from a German, gets hit with the v-trigger though, and then Omega hits a v-trigger on Matt and a pair of dragon sleeps suplexes on Matt before hitting a Tiger Driver 98 on Matt. V-trigger to the back of Nicks head in the corner, Kenny gets Nick up to the second rope, and then a frankensteiner from Nick to Kenny, Page then gets hit by Matt with a trio of Northern Lights suplexes as Matt rolls up the ramp and then tosses Hangman onto the LED ramp. Brutal beautiful stuff. They hit the Indytaker/Meltzer/TonyKhan Driver on Hangman on the ramp. Matt selling his back as he walks back into the ring with Nick to face Kenny. They hit Kenny with 4 superkicks and a Golden Trigger, and Kenny kicks out at ONE. They hit another one, this time Kenny kicks out at two. Nick tags Matt in and Matt stomps on Kennys bad shoulder, Matt starts to lose it a bit on Kenny as Nick snaps him back to reality. They go again for an Indytaker on Kenny, but Hangman picks Nick up from the apron and powerbombs him through the table at ringside. Combo V-trigger and buckshot lariat combo hit on Matt and somehow he kicks out at two. Big V-trigger by Omega on Matt, lifts him up for the one-winged angel, but Matt re-injure dhis shoulder enough that he cant get his arm up to hit it. Hangman picks Matt up and hits the one winged angel by himself, broken up by Nick on the pin. Hangman throws Nick onto the ramp and hits a buckshot lariat on him, turns around and then hits a buckshot lariat on Matt in the ring, pins him for the three and single-handedly beats the Bucks by himself after Kenny couldnt complete it. This is a really incredible match with really incredible pacing and stakes, and tells a great story both inside the match and outside the match. Good clean decisive storytelling and a really incredibly put together match that never lulls"

[10.0] "[5, 75 Stars] It's simple, this is the best Regular 2v2 Tag-Team match of all time. The fluidity of the Young Bucks and Page & Omega is insane, and what's even more impressive is that, while the Young Bucks are used to a crazy tag-team match, Page & Omega are single's wrestlers lmao. Omega has a background with Golden Lovers, but that doesn't make him a tag-team wrestler in 2020. The whole story of war within The Elite since 2018 is incredible and this match is its apotheosis. Please watch it as many times as you like it's still incredible, a classic! [*****.75]"

[10.0] "One of the greatest tag matches of all time. The in-ring phycology and storytelling was very good. The Young Bucks gave their best shot for the AEW tag title. This was emotionally charged for Hangman and Matt. The matcg started with Nick and Kenny, they had a great exchange. Hangman and Matt felt more intense in the ring. The Bucks fast pace offense was great setting up for Hangman's hot tag. All four of these guys had great sequences. The pacing of this match was great. Over 30 mins of excellent tag team wrestling. This was awesome."

[10.0] "One of the best tag team matches of all time. The Elite Civil War lived up to every hype that could've generated from this. Of course, the biggest thing that stays with everyone from this match is Kenny's kick out at 1. The dude knows when to do that and here it was absolutely perfect. Wonderful tag team wrestling from the Young Bucks and from Omega and Page. Just wonderful stuff. [*****1/4]"

But this match more than lived up to that - it is in my mind the greatest tag team match of all time. The in ring action, supense, in ring story telling, crowd reaction, was all unlike any other tag match I have ever seen."

"The Young Bucks have put on some of my favourite matches of all time, but this is the one I come back to the most. Great story going in, incredible wrestling throughout, lots of little references, a real feeling of importance to the result, story development in the match, and an incredible closing sequence with the first (or one of the first? ) BTE triggers through to Hangman hitting the OWA. Stellar wrestling."

[10.0] "Simply the all time best tag team match of all time. Had some absolute masterclass in ring action and told such a god tier story and dynamic around The Elite and it's definitely one of, if not, the all time best match in AEW company history."
