Adam Cole, Kyle O'Reilly & Roderick Strong vs. Claudio Castagnoli, PAC & Wheeler Yuta

[7.0] "A pretty solid match for the Trios Titles, in my opinion. I was hoping Undisputed Kingdom would win, but I completely get having the Death Riders retain. I would like to see UK get a title reign at some point down the line, though, as they have the potential to revitalize the Trios Title scene."

[6.0] "Match is really well done, but there was a ridiculous lack of urgency out there because they did this as a 25 minute segment to open the show."

[7.0] "A bottomless well of golden dtalent between these six, weighed dwon by the fact that the team's stories leading up to this point are just not terribily interesting, at best. Wheeler Yuta, heat magnet that he is, does a lot of heavy lifting in terms of keeping the crowd invested, isolating and cheating to keep O'Riley locked in the corner of the champs. I don't think anyone really expected the trios belts to exchange, but lord am I glad it happened anyways just to see a Roderick Strong hot tag. This became somewhat chaotic fairly quickly, and while I don't know it ever felt like a title match, this was a fine and fun trios match that AEW usually does very well. I really enjoyed the finish, even if it did keep the titles on the Riders."

[6.0] "[6] - people really do not seem to like the deathriders and I can see where they are coming from in terms of storytelling but in terms of putting on good matches they have some of the best guys in AEW."

[6.0] "The build to this was decent enough to have me looking forward to this defense. After three months of having the belts on ice, the energy was lacking a bit here and felt like there is a much better match that could have been here. The Death Riders worked really methodically, but not in a bad ass tearing the challengers apart kind of way, it was just dull and hurt the flow of action. Positively the last five minutes were put together really nicely with Cole getting the hot tag and everything breaking down towards the finish. Cole has regained a lot of his aura since getting the trio back together, Claudio is still always going to deliver when paired with smaller guys. Solid match by the end with a screwy finish to continue the feud of The Death Riders holding titles hostage. ***"

[7.0] "Fun trios match. The ending was some bs with Death Riders cheating. The reunion of the Undisputed Kingdom has helped Adam Cole gain some momentum back."

[4.0] "I found this Trios match terribly boring. It's hard to root for both of these factions in my opinion so their was no enjoyment for anything happening on my part. It felt long and at times felt like it dragged along. Just a match where I found it hard to care. [**]"

[8.0] "This match didn't have any special sequences, but the storytelling and storyline of the match itself was so good that it didn't need a special sequence to make it beautiful. A very good six-man tag team match in which all six wrestlers were excellent. The team and singles performances of the wrestlers were excellent, and if you can call a few scenes sequences (like Death Ryders' back-to-back streaks on Roderick (Roderick's sell was fantastic here) or Undisputed Kingdom's triple super kick on Castagnoli), they all came together as great teamwork. In the end, in an ending that really suited Yuta's work, Death Ryders were able to defend their titles against Undisputed Kingdom."

[7.0] "Just an absolute banger of a trios match. It's funny to me how after it seeming like maybe Adam Cole needed to freshen up and do something different, it turns out that pairing up with KOR and Roderick Strong again is exactly what he needed, because they were electric out there. Really my only criticism is that I want more PAC doing stuff, he felt a little underutilized in comparison, but I always want at least a little more PAC so that isn't anything new."

[8.0] "Even though it's been forever since the trios' titles were defended, this match proved that the division has a shimmer of hope to regain lost prestige. A prime example is The Undisputed Kingdom, a miraculous, well-oiled trio who put their act together and posed as amazing contenders to the demeaning Death Riders. Despite the egregious finish, the action had a well-balanced curve of high-octane offense and calculated limb work as the defense. As much as I would've loved a surprise win by the UK, Death Riders' successful defense made sense. 4 out of 5 stars!"

[3.0] "[3.0] This shit was so awful. It was so long, heatless and then an awful finish. Yuta booked like a super saiyan God is a weird bit. He is, what, 180 pounds soaking wet? On top of that he is a charisma vacuum. The guy kept kicking out of multiple finishers and then even got the winning pin... This match went on for way too long. Roddy did get things heated up when he got inside the ring. Roddy is an insane in ring worker. Him and PAC were the only redeeming thing about this match. Claudio has gone super stale as well. Claudio should be a likeable soft spoken babyface. This heel stuff doesn't suit him well."

[6.0] "This was an okay match. I was thrilled to see the AEW World Trios Titles to be defended. I don't remember the last time they were defended. The overall match dragged towards the end and The Death Riders retained."

[6.0] "I guess it wouldn't make sense to have Undisputed Era beat the Death Riders here while DR is feuding with another makeshift faction but they probably could've done it anyway. This was alright but probably could've been better."

[6.0] "It's weird to find myself in a position where I want the Undisputed boys to be pushed but that's what going against the Death Riders does. So yeah the result was kind of deflating but not a big deal. Match was pretty standard stuff."

[6.0] "Average match with the final minutes being the highlight. At least de trios titles are on the line again after months of being disappeared. (***)"

[8.0] "Excellent match, really nice. A bit too much of Deathriders interrupting, but I guess they couldn't lose the titles tonight. Hoping a rematch at Revolution, and finally some gold for the Undisputed Kingdom boys. The crowd even chanted "Undisputed", which is a very good sign : they made the faction relevant, there is obviously a great Undisputed Era vibe. Kyle is at his place, Cole can wrestle again, Roddy did a fantastic performance once again."

[8.0] "Awesome match for the trios titles, finally defended. A banger in terms of match construction, but especially Roderick delivering yet another masterpiece with an outstanding performance. Everything was perfect, even the finish, which was frustrating in the best way possible."

[7.0] "A good match and so glad to see the trios titles be defended again. I'm also glad to see Adam Cole a little closer back to his old self."

[7.0] "First title defense in just over three months for the Death Riders, which is symptomatic of the very poorly booked reign they have and the state of this trios division, but at least this match was a lot ot fun. Because obviously it was going to be by letting these guys wrestle that long. It was the usual formula, but it worked, and the crowd was into it, so that's all it took, more of this for these belts please."
