1 | 10.01.2023 | Ma Stump Puller | 8.0 | EXIT is basically puro's version of grunge, but not the nice clean grunge, like the dirty-ass, "VHS tape recorded with a camera covered in mud" kind. I'm honoured to see it finally be included on Cagematch because from what I watched of it, it's a unique experience unlike any other. You don't get flips, you don't get promos, you don't even really get anything visually impressive: it's just dudes wrestling in dank basements or cabins beating the shit out of each other or stretching on the mat. The definition of niche wrestling but some of the most wild and brutal matches go on here without barely a peep about it, and that's just a shame. If you ever wanted to see what Fight Club looks like from a wrestling stand-point, this is probably the closest thing to it. |
2 | 03.01.2023 | jomshom | 10.0 | EXIT is one of my all-time favorite promotions. It revels in the underground world it resides in, hosting shows in dingy basements with rings that have had their ropes stripped away and replaced by metal chains. The average level of violence in EXIT is on par with some of the most hard hitting and uncomfortably brutal pro wrestling of all time, with guys like Fugo Fugo Yumeji, Johta, Keita Yano, and Kikujiro Umezawa constantly going at each other without any sense of regard for the safety of each other or themselves. It's not easy to get footage from these events, but if you have the ability to, I'd highly recommend checking out basically anything this promotion ever did. |
