[8.0] "As with everything ECW, the "Eastern" period is messy but the product and title prestige improved in the "Extreme' era. Good/great reigns include The Public Enemy, The Impact Players, Storm & Candido, The Eliminators, The Dudley Boyz, Tommy Dreamer & Raven, Stevie Richards & Raven and The FBI (Guido & Mamaluke). While shorter reigns for great teams or terrific individuals include Mikey Whipwreck & Tajiri, Mike Awesome & Raven, RVD & Sabu, Sandman & Too Cold Scorpio, Whipwreck & Cactus Jack, Benoit & Malenko, Tommy Dreamer & Masato Tanaka, Spike Dudley & Balls Mahoney and more. Lows for the title for me were The Pit Bulls and The Gangstas. This was probably the most hot shotted of ECW's titles partly as a result of the Dudleys departure storyline, the wrestling trope of throwing top guys together to win the tag titles over established teams and ECW's general love of overbooking. Missed opportunities for the titles were the Unholy Alliance only getting a one day reign when absolutely white hot and you'd have to think that Shane Douglas & Bam Bam Bigelow, The BWO, Joey Matthews & Christian Yorke, The Network (Steve Corino / Tajiri / Rhino), Jerry Lynn & Cyrus all could have contributed to drawing crowds, heat or prestige if given the opportunity. It also feels like a bit of a travesty that Scorpio's one taste of ECW tag gold was two months with The Sandman who could only slow him down (for context, he had a better team with Bagwell! ). Fun Fact: Due to the ECW Tag Team Titles, Tommy Dreamer is the only man to hold titles in all three variations of ECW having won the Eastern Tag Title (w/Johnny Gunn), the Extreme tag titles (w/Raven & Tanaka) as well as the ECW World title (from Tazz) and the WWECW title (from Christian)."
[8.0] "I personally found ECW's tag division to be a little up and down, but never really bad by any means. Usually the belts were on the team that deserved them most and their weren't many hiccups. I don't think any singular reign stands out enough however."
[7.0] "Die Titelträger gehen querbeet von trashig bis Kult. Dazu gab es verhältnismäßig viele Titelwechsel, was bei Tag Titeln im Vergleich zu anderen eine Zeit lang aber nicht unüblich war. Insgesamt der shcwächste der 3 ECW-Titel, jedoch immer noch gut und mit kultigen Teams wie den Dudleys, Pitbulls, Eliminators, Raven % Richards, Raven & Dreamer, Benoit & Malenko, Sabu & Taz..."
