AEW has had an issue with having too many factions for a long time & the fact that this group exists proves that point. I'm trying now to think of something positive to say about them & I'm having a very tough time coming up with anything at all. I guess this group eventually lead to Toni turning into the Timeless character. But I'm not sure that was anything directly linked to this group or it just happened to coincide with this group's disbandment."

Unfortunately, a stepping stone to a far better character is all that can really be said about this group--otherwise, it was a dead end for several stars that should have been bigger in AEW but weren't because they were saddled with this nWo parody."

[3.0] "The Outcasts was a really bad idea, they've started as a group of ex-WWE superstars, a heel faction of course, and the idea was to be some kind of female nWo, with a rebel attitude, spray paint, and lots of interferences in the matches, but the exact same formula happened at every single show, the booking was awful and extremely repetitive, and the group totally flopped. After Toni Storm's departure, all of the relevancy that they had in the women's division was lost, and this became a low card/Rampage program, super irrelevant before the main stories. Harley Cameron joined the faction, but no sign of life was found, even considering that she's talented, it's obviously not enough to be relevant again."

It really should have built to a Outcasts (ex-WWE) vs homegrown AEW talent, but for some reason they never went through with it. I do think the original version with Saraya, Storm, and Soho was the absolute best version, the current one is still fun at times. I just really wish this group was given more time to shine and have some fun with the younger stars to really help elevate them."

Ruby is gone due to maternity leave, Toni is out being a star in the women's title division, and Saraya is honestly the most unbearable women's superstar in the company. Her little one off with Jamie Hayter was meant to make Hayter look strong...burying Saraya again as well. A lot of storylines and booking decisions have been met with less than enthusiastic efforts from the talents and we as fans reciprocate with not liking the product at all."

[1.0] "The Outcasts is just a completely cold mess. This stable has been around for a year and a half and almost nobody, besides one person, has benefitted from this terrifically bad gimmick. In all honesty however, the gimmick was meant to be a protection shield for Saraya, who obviously has been exposed really badly in singles wrestling due to her regression from injuries. It was clear that Saraya was going to need a stable to protect her from being exposed even further, so they had her team up with Toni Storm for a while and although it wasn't all that bad, Saraya's Go-Away heat got even worse within the coming months and Toni Storm would by default be affected by it due to 'guilt by association', didn't help by adding Ruby Soho following the Revolution 2023 PPV in which she would also be badly exposed to Go-Away heat. Also, the booking for this stable would be very weird and ultimately, this stable went NOWHERE following the unfortunate injury of Jamie Hayter. Toni Storm left the group following her title loss in August to Hikaru Shida and rebranded her character from 'Saraya's sidekick who looks like Gwen Stefani' to what could be the best gimmick in all of wrestling in 2023, 'Timeless'. Toni getting away from Saraya and Soho did wonders for her career and it has risen her star power and value tremendously, and she IS the reason why this stable gets a 1 rather than a 0. Unfortunately, Tony Khan made the absolute WORST booking decision in the history of his company at their biggest show so far and *maybe* ever by putting the world belt on Saraya at All In for a ridiculous cheap pop which didn't get the 'huge pop' that TK thought it would get. Saraya getting the world title was so heavily scrutinized and nearly tanked the women's division so much that TK had to put the belt back on a momentum-less Hikaru Shida who would then lose it a few weeks later to Toni Storm in what was a ridiculous and the most unnecessary game of 'hot potato' I've ever seen with a wrestling championship. Ruby Soho would tease leaving the Outcasts multiple times in 2023 and didn't until February of 2024 when she finally left Saraya, but she would then get pregnant and we would never see the end of the feud between her and Saraya. Saraya wanted to keep this sinking ship afloat so she recruited her brother (who has done nothing of note in AEW yet) and Harley Cameron to the group and boy oh boy might as well rename them to #TheNationOfJobbers because none of them are good in-ring (Harley has the most potential however in the future) and have no momentum or crowd reactions going for them. I will say, I think both Saraya and Harley have improved a lot in character work, but I believe they are overrated in that regard compared to other heels in the business currently. I hate to admit it, I laughed a lot at Saraya's All In 2024 Scrum meltdown because it was so bad that it was good and it's so on brand for her. I can't wait to see how Harley progresses though, she may be rookie of the year in AEW so far which is a low bar given how very few rookies there are this year."

Update: This was in april of 2023, its now april of 2024 and since then the group has gotten SO much worse. To start, Saraya is absolutely horrible. Ruby's mic work was not enough to save it, and soon after in august for all in Saraya became champ.. man. Such A bad idea that was, then Toni left which benefitted Toni and only hurt them. Eventually Harley Cameron got added and A meh love story took place, Ruby left and now she's pregnant and I guess the group now is Saraya, Harley Cameron, and her brother.. god this faction and its existence is so bad."

All their matches had the same shenanigans, and even though two of them were champions, those were probably the most nothing championship reign aew has had. Matches wise it was the worst moment for all three, it looked like they were impossible to give a half good match, while also being annoying constantly. The break up was so bad as well, it happened, then it did not, then Toni Storm left but like, they did not do a single thing with it, then it just broke, is wild that the best thing to come out of this group was Toni Storm losing the title to reinvent herself."

"3 women who were all made insufferable by their inclusion in a drawn out, horrible storyline with the only heat they could ever gain being Go Away heat. All three women were made worse and Toni Storm was the only one worth watching before and after this stable. No good matches, no good promos, no moment that was worth anything out of this utter waste of TV time. The fact that Toni Storm went from this to some of her best work shows just how far back she was held by this trash. Utter dogshit. Would be negative if ratings went negative."

[8.0] "This seems to be an unpopular opinion, but I really love this faction. Their heel turns all being as a result of disrespect from the fans makes the connection between audience and heel stable feel a lot stronger than most others. It also gives depth to them as, despite being the wrestling equivalent of high school bullies, it's a tragic result of how they were treated in AEW which results in them taking it out on others. The sense of comradery between them also really sells the notion of them being a group ot Outcasts rather than just Saraya and her minions. I also think the way they cheat in matches is fairly cool. They don't only take cheap shots at an opponent from outside the ring, but let themselves get caught by the referee to distract them so that they can't give the 3 count, or give leverage to whichever Outcast is actually fighting to help them with the pin. And the frequency of their opponents fighting off whichever ones aren't involved makes it come off as the opponent holding their own in a 3 v1. A good heel not only gets heat, but manages to make the face in question look good in the ring, which these guys do frequently. Of course, I have my problems with them. The spray painting "Ls" on their opponents, while a decent way to humiliate said opponents, loses it's flair pretty quickly. Especially when we the audience can barely even make out the "Ls" themselves. However, the biggest thing holding these guys back is the repetitiveness of their storyline. So often, it's a similar song of dance of them beating one of very limited opponents and then either spraypaining them or being chased off by Jamie Hayter and Baker or Riho, Skye Blue, and Willow Nightingale. However, with things like their alliance with the J.A.S to ambush Britt Baker, or them being tricked by Shida and delivered some karmic justice by her, Hayter, and Baker, it looks like that problem is getting fixed. 8/10"

The problem of course being that there isn't much for them to do in AEW but that is a booking problem and not a problem with the talent so that's why I don't want to rate them low, because there biggest flaws are not really there fault. They are cool and have potential so I like them."

I've been a defender of the AEW women's division but this faction ain't it. I would like to see Toni Storm turn face again, and I guess Ruby Soho can stay heel? Every since saraya came in, it seems like her whole mission was to make -her being in the other company-the gimmick, and every time she comes out it just doesnt work with me. Them using the same exact finish for every single one of their matches is something that legit pisses me off every time. Outcast wins, they attack the opponent more after, then a flip of a coin determines whether jamie hayter, britt baker, willow, riho, shida, etc. come out to send the outcasts running, or the outcasts finish their attack by spray painting an L on their opponent like a kid in the 90s would want the nWo to do. Its just not working for me. I originally gave this a 4, but writing this made me drop it down to a 2. Again, i love ruby, toni and saraya, but sarayas run in aew has been terrible so far."

Ruby being added to the group was actually a good idea as she seems to be the only one that fits the group. I don't have any idea why Toni is here and Saraya as leader is not good. But they could be worse, so that's why they're not getting anything lower than a 3."

The problem ultimately lies in the problem that there are no real stakes. They're just three women who hate everyone else for hating them because they're former WWE superstars. But they haven't put anyone out, and there was one title match they had stakes in before they officially began. Spray painting L's and being mean isn't enough."

There have been many comparisons to The Outsiders in WCW (hence the similar name), and time will tell what impact they'll have going forward, but this has two of my favourite female wrestlers, and Saraya brings star power - it should be fun any way it goes from here."
