1105.08.2025RTruthSaidWhatsUp8.0A very good match. The face team stands out for doing great things, and so does the heel team, haha. It's a great match. Perhaps as we approach the final minutes of the first half, it starts to get a bit tiring with so many false endings, but when it becomes a no-disqualification match, they come back with everything. Great match.

2023.03.2025ReiEscobar9.0I have some issues when it comes to enjoy Mark Briscoe stuff, I really think he have a insane issue for making a match look "More than great". Okay, recently he proved that I was wrong when he faced Fletcher two times and did a incredible match two times in a row, but I am still not 100% convinced about him, maybe I need to change the way I think about him or even about pro wrestling at AEW, I don't know. But when the matches end up in draw and he pick up a microphone and said "HELL NO" was one of the most AURA moments I ever saw in my life watching this sport. He literally was saying "we are fighting for honor my brother and we are gonna still fight to honor him, this will not end without a winner". That shit was hard, not gonna lie to you. And the ring action, well, three of the best members of Blackpool Combat Club (Sorry Yuta) facing FTR and Mark Briscoe that never disappoints in multimen match, everyone know each other very well and they had a insane chemistry showed at this match. Really, really good match.
2118.02.2025FelipeTalksGraps9.0[4.5*] This was the match of the night in my opinion: Perfectly divided in two acts. The first one being a 19-minute old school technical tag team wrestling match, with awesome sequences and mash-ups between the wrestlers, except for one kinda failed suplex between Cash and Mox (they adjusted it afterwards). The second act was in Jays honor, a insane fight, with the guys dropping the submissions and limbworks and starting using forks, tables, ladders and barbed wire. Mark pinned Bryan, who faced Jay Briscoe 20 years ago, with the Jay Driller. Absolutely incredible match, I felt highly emotional throughout the whole bout. Phenomenal stuff.

3205.09.2024danzitorock9.0Beautiful match, what an excellent tribute to the late great Jay Briscoe, incredible! This match had basically two acts, the fight TO HONOR Jay Briscoe, and the fight WITHOUT HONOR, which is an awesome detail. The first part, with honor, was excellent, the level of wrestling was as high as can be, which is no surprise, considering the six of them are insanely talented. It had amazing technique and progression, and all the moves were perfectly executed. I loved the part where Mark was fighting and resisting alone against the three of them, a lot of beautiful and poetic moments on the match, it made me emotional several times. The second act was the fight without honor, the hardcore stuff, and it was amazing too, the only problem here is I though it was gonna last longer and by consequence have more crazy spots and moments, maybe if it had this, would've been perfect, but still it was an incredible match with a lot of details and complexity, they just don't do wrestlers like this guys anymore, true story-tellers. The part where Bryan was beating Mark and the crowd chanted "no, no, no" was incredible. Mark Briscoe pinned Bryan with the Jay Driller in one of the most phenomenal tribute matches of all time, really beautiful, this is one of those matches that reaffirm my love for professional wrestling - {****1/2}

4726.04.2024uselessdollthing6.0Very interesting match. Has a very cool structure, with the first half being really solid normal tag team wrestling. The chaos builds up over and over until the match goes over into the time limit. The second half is where the match takes the turn into a more hardcore anything goes that goes into pure madness. The match lost me at some points with it being chaotic to its detriment, however I understand that this might be appealing for some people. Overall, a pretty solid match, I appreciate it not only for being a tribute but also for being really unique.

5816.02.2024Prince Osborne9.0One of the best renditions of a tributary match unfolded here, courtesy of these mavericks. The first half was a great display of action that occasionally touched the borders of wackiness by the Blackpool cohorts. After a while, the atmosphere was blown away by a crazy brawl officially converted into a brutal detour. All men had a chance to show their viciousness in different ways, especially Mark, who was held back since his brother's demise. He was in his element, and the BCC embraced the evil side without discomfort, bringing the utmost sympathy to FTR & Mark. The structure would not be everyone's cup of coffee, but the legacy of this match underlying the callbacks made it an entertaining watch. 4.25 out of 5 stars!

6429.01.2024GoodVsBadGuys7.0I rate this match at the Level 7 Tier for me - which means it is "Must See", but not quite at the Level 8 Tier - which means it is "Great and Rewatchable". The closing sprint was awesome, and if more of the match was like that, I would be all about it and all in. However, a lot of this match did seem like the 6 guys involved were repeating each other a bit much, like maybe they all had the same idea about what they wanted to do, causing for less of a complimentary combination of peanut butter and jelly and instead getting double peanut butter or double jelly at moments.The finish of Mark Briscoe hitting the Jay Driller on ROH's biggest star of all time to win the match in honor of him was the right choice and very satisfying.

7014.01.2024GoldLiger10.0A remarkable match that carried the spirit of 00s ROH with it. BCC working over Dax only for Mark & Cash to even things up, Claudio being a total workhorse, Mox not even remotely giving a fuck since he has no real history in ROH, the sick brawling, the great misdirect to transition the Fight To Honor into a Fight Without Honor, the instant notching up of violence and blood after Mark's promo, the raw brutality over well laid-out spots, the super cathartic ending of Mark landing that elusive Jay Driller on Danielson to end it (two ROH OGs that were there on day one along with Jay). RIP Jay Briscoe, one of the GOATs of modern American wrestling, laid to rest in match form by some of the best still doing it. ****1/2+

8528.12.2023Freddo This is my first time watching a Mark Briscoe match, or any Briscoe match for that matter. I can see why people are magnetised to him as he is quite hype and charismatic and his mid-match promo was awesome. Will have to check out some of his stuff with Jay. FTR are a solid tag-team, though I find that Cash is a bit clunky on some spots. Claudio may be most built different wrestler ever IMO, he makes literally everything look easy. Jon Moxley is simply too cool, and I love look his look, style, character, swagger and aura. Bryan Danielson is possibly my favourite wrestler of all-time, if not then he is certainly on my personal Mt. Rushmore. As for spots in the match, I found them to be a little too few and far between as the match seemed a little too long for me. Most of the spots were just your typical Jon Moxley deathmatch cutlery drawer type stuff. For better or for worse, Swerve VS Hangman has ruined deathmatches for me, as it was too good, so other stuff seems to fall a little flat now. The storyline of the BCC dominating the faces until they get back in the ring and comeback for a minute, just to be oppressed by countless chair shots to the back again kind of bored me. However, the talent involved in this match, as well as the crowd's adoration for them and Jay's legacy was enough for me to still enjoy this match. ****

8727.12.2023MaveDeltzer7.0The nature of this match makes it a little hard to rate as a whole but I thought the first half was better and the second half was really a bit of a mess even if a few of the spots were okay. I'm a fan of hardcore and deathmatch wrestling but when all you get is the spots with no real structure you kind of feel like anyone can do it, which is unbecoming of professional wrestlers. What the pros have compared to the backyarders is the ability to make things matter but that was barely featured in this match. Imagine Halloween with no suspense or tension, just Michael Myers continuously stabbing people for 15 minutes without pause. That's how a match like the second half of this can feel, and yet every guy in this match knows how to tell a story in the ring.
8826.12.2023Bren09.0[4.75] WHAT A FIGHT. This match was divided into two opposing parts, the first part was a traditional tag fight, incredibly technical and well worked, the second was a real war, extremely violent, incredible spots and once again showing the quality of Blackpool Combat Club in matches with stipulation. Mark Briscoe finishing Bryan Danielson was also perfect.
8925.12.2023xitachi7.0Im not sure if i have grown lately of aew/roh but this wasnt anything more than good for me. The match had quite a few great spots like the piledriver at the end though it didnt make me feel invested probably because it happened literally in the last minutes

9624.12.2023ImperialUno7.0This was a perfect tribute to the late great Jay Briscoe and there was some great references to him all along, the match itself wasn't a MOTYC but this was great and there was some great spots, those six men put on a show to pay tribute to a legend and this was emotional. Bryan Danielson is really a crazy man for exploiting his injury to entertain people, he bleeds from his eyebrow at every match now lol - ***3/4. R.I.P Jay Briscoe
