I think if they had shaved off a couple minutes and ended it like they did it would have improved it. Cogar's attire made me chortle."
[6.0] "Bayne dominated early and looked like a monster. Bad botch by Cogar when he missed the apron. Otis interferes and then Sawyer returns as well and tases Atticus which allows Bayne to hit her tombstone and win. Feels over booked with how good Bayne is."
[2.0] "Megan Bayne looks like a star and she takes on Atticus Cougar in an intergender match, normally I hate these because they don't make any sense but Atticus is legitimately both shorter and most likely also weigh less than Megan so I could suspend my disbelief for this. He does some sort of psycho gimmick, which fails miserably cause he's the size of a 12 year old, he tries his best to be intimidating but he's as scary Alexa Bliss was when doing the fiend thing. He takes off his jumpsuit and he has pictures of Megan taped to his pants, so he's doing a sex pest gimmick I guess. Megan may have the look but she lacks the experience at the moment, she's basically at the level a woman who just finished her first year in NXT is, she does have the potential to be a big name in the future, the same cannot be said for little Atticus, who's got indy lifer written all over him. He then tries to rip off the world laziest wrestler Masada and pulls out the wooden skewers, it seems like every single hardcore show has to have them these days, who even cares anymore. The match was kind of decent for a while then Atticus tries to a body drop from the top rope to the apron to Megan but since he's 5'5 150lbs at the very most he barely has the strength to lift her, then instead of dropping her on the apron he drops her straight to the floor. Horrible botch. Some fatass interferes and it turns out it's Atticus' brother, he looks like he belongs in one of Ian Rotten's deathmatch tournaments from 2002, he's even shorter than Atticus but 10x as fat. The mighty GCW wants to be taken seriously as a big time promotion yet they have these untrained amateurs running around like they're a big deal. A tall woman in a hoodie then comes out, tases Atticus and Megan wins, what even was that ending, who are these people? Once again, I would have been more lenient on it in other circumstances but since by their own admission this is meant to be a show to be taken seriously and have them rise to the levels of TNA, ROH, NXT etc they really missed the mark. Isn't Megan signed to AEW? I understand them letting their talent compete on the indies but at least pick their opposition, give her a good female wrestler from which she can learn from not this miniature backyarder."
[6.0] "This was a good match. But yet again the match doesn't match the story one bit. That said it was a good match. Bayne looked strong as anything, she definitely the future. And Cogar seem to be the wrestler who comes up with all the cool stuff and it's very clear. The table spot was funny with Cogar's brother. A return by Sawyer was a nice touch to get the win for Bayne"
[4.0] "Atticus Cogar has been described to me as a 'big ideas' kind of wrestler, though maybe one who doesn't know how to actually make something concrete and real out of those ideas. Combine that with the very, very limited Megan Bayne, and this was something that needed to be shorter, sharper, and much more protected in terms of making the two of them look good. Sawyer Wreck was a fun surprise, at least."
[6.0] "Feels like another "would be a good match in a different venue" match, which - after "they really fucked up producing a Hammerstein show again" - feels like one of the key themes of the night. Cogar is a damn fine character actor, and a fine deathmatch wrestler, so putting him in a place where he can barely do the skewer spot feels like a bit of a letdown. Not as bad as many other matches in the card, but didn't live up to its full potential either."
[7.0] "I was concerned how this one was going to go, there was a chance for it to be a huge letdown and that could be disastrous for Atticus. But it delivered! Tense and exciting, and a rare use of interferences that I actually liked. Stiff as hell, they played the story well. Obviously Megan is going up from here, but hopefully GCW doesn't forget what they have with Atticus this time."
"Megan Bayne has a very bright future. Overall this match held my attention, kept me engaged, and seemed to have the crowd into it. I really thought the skewers in the turnbuckles was going to play into the match more than they did. Overall I give this match a 7."
[3.0] "Why is every GCW regular a psycho stalker or serial killer? Story was fine, just in bad taste. They just kind of had a nothing match and then Cogar tried to kill Megan Bayne by missing the apron because he's a shit death match wrestler and I was like ok Megan, get the fuck out of here and go make some actual money with some people that know what they are doing, not these fucking shmucks."
[7.0] "this felt like a sendoff for Bayne. I know she might make some appearances as she won the do or die rumble but with her signed to aew, does feel like she will apppear less and less. the actual match was pretty cool! I liked the Sawyer wreck interference too. was super funny when Otis took that looney tunes ass bump into the table. good vibes here"
[3.0] "I'm personally not invested in Atticus Cogar and feel as though this wasn't the best spotlight for Megan Bayne. She should have the rocket strapped to her because she oozes the charisma of a star, but this match just felt like filler to me. Aside from the catastrophe surrounding the Allie Katch injury leading into the Six Man Tag Match, this was the worst match of the night for me. This match lacked the stakes or reasoning to exist. On an already LONG pay-per-view, you can't just throw a match out there with no reasoning. On a final note, I understand that they are going for the loosely guided rules like ECW used to, but I hate that. If you aren't going to advertise the match as some Anything Goes brawl, then this match should have been thrown out pretty quickly."
[7.0] "Really good match - something the crowd was more invested in. Megan Bayne should have a rocket strapped to her everywhere she works cause she's that damn good. Cogar played the villain perfectly here and I enjoyed both the in-ring work as well as the promo work done before the match as well."
[8.0] "Super stiff match. Great entrances from both to really set the tone. Bayne took an absolute beating this match, but still came away looking like a juggernaut. The run-ins of Cogar's brother and Sawyer Wreck made sense from a story perspective. Probably my favorite match of the night"
[6.0] "A solid match with good action and antics involving Otis Cogar and a surprise appearance by Sawyer Wreck to exact some revenge on Atticus following his soiling her moment at NGI9. The air raid crash to the apron from Atticus to Megan was notably brutal. A nice win for Megan on this show."
[7.0] "Between the in-ring action and the match interference, it really leveled up the quality of the match. It was awesome with a fired-up crowd. The story wrapped up well with an amazing ending."
[6.0] "Firstly, Atticus Cogar is a different type of dude when it comes to promo and character work. He clearly put a lot of effort into his vignettes, entrance with a legitimately creepy skin mask under the headdress he stole from Megan Bayne, and attire with photos of Megan Bayne on it. I was not familiar with his ring work. Conversely, Megan Bayne is great in the ring and has an aura, but her promos and vignettes are lacking. So as a match, it is kinda cool because you get two people with opposite focuses, and sometimes when that happens, you create something really great and new, and sometimes you have two people who dilute their potential because neither is able to play entirely to his or her strengths. The match itself was fine with Cogar going for the skewers. The spot of the match was an Air Raid Crash from Cogar from the ropes onto the apron. It looked brutal, but unfortunately the camera did not catch the landing. Otis Cogar interfered, then a mystery fan who ended up being Sawyer Wreck, using a taser on Atticus as revenge for Atticus upstaging her at the Nick Gage Invitational tournament/Sawyer's last match."
