Im Anschluss festigt Garcia seinen Anspruch auf den Titel, in dem er in einem passablen Match Jason Geiger besiegt, dafür aber fast schon ein bisschen zu lange brauchte. Im Aftermath gibt es noch ein nettes Face-Off zwischen Garcia und Shibata. Utami vs. Adora war mein MotN. Auch wenn Utami hier nicht alles gezeigt hat, man kann erahnen wie fantastisch die Dame im Ring ist und gibt hier ein paar Kostproben gegen einen ordentlichen Gegner. Castle vs. Shane Taylor war solide. Das Castle gewinnt, macht schon Sinn, ich persönlich hätte aber lieber Taylor vs. Samoa Joe gesehen. Mit Willow vs. Athena um den ROH Women's World Title wird ein weiteres logisches Match festgesetzt, was in zwei soliden Segmenten passiert. Woods vs. James Stone war ein egales Squashmatch, Athena tut in ihrem Squashmatch das, was sie immer tut. Im Aftermath gibt es den zu erwartenden Staredown zwischen Willow und Athena. The Righteous holen sich einen dominanten Sieg über die Boys um gestärkt in ihr PPV-Match gegen die Dark Order zu gehen. Leyla Hirsch braucht 4 Minuten um Nicole Matthews zu besiegen und wirkt weiterhin eingerostet. Dann folgen ein paar Hypesegmente für den PPV. Der Main Event war kurz und solide, natürlich gewinnen The Kingdom. |

The first three matches all delivered, but not much else worked after that. As excited I am for the Willow/Athena match, the two backstage segments we got for this match were both bad. The main event did not feel like a big deal (especially for a go-home show), and did not even go long enough to tell a proper story. Death Before Dishonor will likely be a very good show, but this was a missed opportunity to get people excited for it. |

Match macht Spaß da auch die Crowd gut mitgeht. Nettes Match. Hayashishita gegen Adora war ebenfalls ein ganz gutes Match. Bin gespannt ob wird Utami bald schon wieder sehen in den Staaten. Adora wird das Match gefallen haben. MOTN ist das Finale im Eliminator Match. Castle vs. Taylor wrestlen in gutes Match. Nette kleine Story drin und beide können was im Ring. Rundes Match. Woods macht Stone platt genau wie Athena Nikita. Die Righteous holen sich noch einen Sieg vor dem großen Brawl und mit den Boys haben sie Gegner die sie dabei gut aussehen lassen. Hirsch gegen Matthews war für die kurze Zeit aber gut. Schönes Match der beiden. Der Main Event war leider zu kurz um sich wirklich entfalten zu können. So war jeder nur kurz im Ring und raus kommt nichts Halbes oder Ganzes. |

| 23 | 21.07.2023 | Rocky7 | 7.0 | Attending this taping, I had my hopes as to who would appear on them, and Nicole Matthews was one of them - I hadn't seen her live since her SHIMMER run - but the big surprise was Utami Hayashishita. The former World of STARDOM Champion has had matches recently in GCW, but her appearance here against Trish Adora gives hope that we may yet see more STARDOM talent appear in AEW or ROH - Giulia looks likely given that she and Toni Storm have been calling each other out recently. Hayashishita vs. Adora was by far the highlight of the taping match wise, although I liked the finish to Castle vs. Taylor. The first half of the show has significantly more fans than the second, so they'll have to be creative with the crowd editing for this episode. UPDATE: Most of the build ended up off air. The matches I mentioned were the best ones, but I wouldn't pressure you to watch this before the PPV. |

Passend für Death Before Dishonor und v.a. auch wegen dem Match zwischen Utami Hayashishita und Trish Adora. Das Match war solide. Es war nur schade, dass Utami keinen Entrance bekommen hat. Dafür gab es ihren Song nach der Show, aber das wirkt natürlich nicht genauso. Solide war auch noch der Main Event, das Pure Rules Match und Dalton Castle gegen Shane Taylor. Gefallen haben mir außerdem die beiden Segmente mit Willow Nightingale bzw. Athena um das Titelmatch der beiden für den PPV aufzubauen. |
