The nWo looking like chumps except for Scott Steiner who despite running from his brother still looks strong. Also Stevie Ray had a good match which I still raise an eyebrow at when it happens. Always fun to see Bull Pain, Wrath, Hector Garza. Eddie Guerrero doing his meta shoot promos are cool. Kevin Nash trying to get DDP to join the nWo Wolfpack is cool but if you think about it, it doesn't make sense when Luger and Sting try to convince him. Sting and Luger were both subject to repeated beatings by the Nash, Hogan and the rest of the nWo. Nothing makes sense and I'm not really hyped for the ppv. |

I get that WCW wants to keep Goldberg's win streak going up and up and up but you can't just give title shots to someone like Putski? Not much fun going on in the ring here. Garza's back and looks pretty much as good as always, but with a bit of rust that needs to be shaken off. Juvi keeps doing that thing where he barely kicks out of everything and then gets a pinfall victory after a single finisher. Match would've been way better if it had a better ending. The Saturn storyline is going strong, this time we get an actually good match out of it as he takes on Riggs and beats the crap out of him. Then, instead of breaking Riggs' fingers, he lets Raven break his own fingers because HONOR. Malenko and Hennig's "grudge match" was tame as hell, but my god how awesome was it to see Arn Anderson running in and elbowing Hennig and Rude? The show would've been a 5/10 if not for that. The tag team main event is a hard skip. Warrior messing with nWo off camera throughout was all right, but then we get that magic smoke that knocks out everyone that isn't Hogan or Warrior at the end. |

I popped like crazy when Arn Anderson ran down to save Malenko, and the Raven/Saturn story is really going beautifully. Plus Juvi/Garza was a great short TV match, and some other solid matches as well. On the other hand you've got so much garbage with Warrior, where he can take out the whole nWo Black and White with actual magic(? ). Plus what the heck happened in that Neidhart/Jericho match? Super weird, super not good, don't know what Neidhart was doing there. Interestingly, in this episode DDP points out to Sting that Nash is not trustworthy, and Sting brow beats DDP about how great Nash is. Of course we know a certain Fingerpoke is only a couple months away... Sting's character was always such a naïve dork, haha. |

| 8 | 21.04.2019 | Smi-48 | 3.0 | Die nWo jagt einen unsichtbaren Warrior. Damit geht der Krempel schonmal los. Das wird dann mit dem ersten Match auch nicht besser. Danach setzt die Wolfpack-nWo die Bemühungen fort, DDP zum Fall Brawl für sich zu gewinnen. Der ziert sich aber noch. Ebenso wie Roddy Piper. Wrath danach ohne Probleme und Scotty Steiner ist auf dem Weg zu Höherem. Die Mexikaner bemühen sich, kommen aber im beschmiertem Finish mit dem Juvi-Driver aus dem Nichts. Kenny Kaos ist jetzt nicht bekannt für Singles-Erfolge, so kann sich Miller einen Sieg sichern und im Anschluß etwas rumprahlen. Stevie Ray kommt dank nWo zu Singles-Erfolgen und verwendet als Finisher tatsächlich - den Pedigree! Welch Affront Richtung Connecticut! Unter lautem Zuspruch Ravens zerlegt Saturn den armen Scotty Riggs nach Strich und Faden. Das Match zwischen Y2J und Neidhart ist eine Katastrophe - der Anvil ist zu unbeweglich, sich zum Liontamer umdrehen zu lassen, und der Ringrichter läutet dann einfach pro Jericho ab. Ohne eigentliche Submission. Eddie Guerrero schimpft danach über Bischoff und dessen Bleistift. Was auch immer. Nicht einmal im Steel Cage möchte man der nWo schaden - schon gar nicht durch Malenko. Das Match hat seine sinnbefreiten Momente, stinkt aber nicht durchweg ab. Mit der Aftermatch um den eingreifenden Anderson kommt man wenigstens den Horsemen wieder näher. Es folgt der übliche Goldberg-Squash. Das finale Tag-Match endet unabwendbar im obligatorischen DQ-Finish, weil Nash DDP die Powerbomb verabreicht. Das Ende ist dann wieder bizarr peinlich, da der Warrior nach Belieben in und aus dem Käfig teleportiert, Stuhlschläge nicht sellt und ganz viel Rauch aufwirbelt. Dies alles gepaart mit der miesen Matchqualität und der Tatsache, dass am Sonntag ein PPV ins Haus steht, ist nicht ausreichend. |

In den nWo-Hollywood Segmenten mit den Stars ging es um die War Games und den Warrior, das Wolfpac legte sich mit Team WCW an und die Undercard der Schwarz-Weißen nWo wurde entweder vom Warrior ausgeschaltet oder kümmerte sich um Malenko. Der hatte mit Hennig ein tolles Cagematch, wo mich allein das Ende enttäuschte. Aber die Rettung durch Anderson und den Jubel den der Enforcer bekam, war großartig. Dazu der tolle Flock, schöne Titelmatches und alles Cat-Kaos und Ray-Adams waren richtig sinnlos. |
