| 5 | 02.11.2025 | Zak22 | 9.0 | One of the strongest Joshi promotions in Japan right now, Stardom has some incredible talents like SLK, Tam Nakano, Iwatani and so on, Stardom is also benefiting from getting some AEW talents in which adds some variety. Stardom delivers some great matches and some strong cards but Stardom and its stars are inconsistent and have some pretty weak cards. You never quite know what your going to get but better than the alternatives in my opinion, and at its peak the best women's wrestling in the world. |

| 18 | 29.08.2025 | wtg3rusgb9 | 10.0 | What a promotion Stardom are. For the most part long term storylines play out & have logical conclusions. How novel that feuds are sorted out in the ring & not with excessively long talking segments. Now with Taro Okada in charge fan favourites have been pushed up to the top of the card. Most of the wrestlers have their own distinct way of wrestling & it's great to watch the rookies develop month after month until you suddenly realise how good they have become. Despite wrestlers leaving for the Yankee dollar, getting injured or retiring they always seem to keep things rolling on. With the momentum gained in the 2025 5StarGP it will be fascinating to see where things go. More Momo Watanabe at the top of the card please! As a massive Rina fan I can't wait to see this incredible young wrestler blow away fans everywhere with her talent, athleticism & natural charisma. Lastly, AZM is now showing us all the promise that's been developing for over a decade. What a stunning quartet of matches from her in the playoffs onwards of the 5StarGP. She is the most exciting wrestler in the world in my opinion. Thanks to everyone at Stardom for the best wrestling in the world. It restores your faith in the best sport in the world. Professional wrestling! Arigato gozaimasu! |

Perhaps, the most prominent Joshi promotion since AJW, Stardom has been a haven for Japanese and foreign women's wrestlers of today. Some of the best women's wrestlers have come out of Stardom or even went there to further hone their craft. And the ones who have come out of Stardom, are a who's who of women's wrestling. So, that's why they get a 10. |

| 37 | 29.05.2025 | FraterAssenayo | 8.0 | Stardom has been a 10 for me for a long time but I'm revising my rating down to an 8. I think Taro Okada performed a miracle saving this company after Rossy Ogawa left and it's still one of the strongest companies going at the moment. Prospects don't seem quite as bright to me as in the past. The roster is loaded with talents but, with the exceptions of Syuri and Yoneyama, there aren't any seasoned veterans remaining to shape talent and this can potentially hurt long term. For non-Japanese speakers, the loss of English subtitles has been a major blow and while Stewart Walker's excellent commentary on big shows certainly helps, not being able to follow stories in this heavily story-driven company lessens the charm quite a bit. Still, there are excellent workers on the roster, bigger shows are absolutely worth checking out, and there have been some fantastic matches. I worry, however, that my rating will continue to move downwards unless certain trends change. |

| 40 | 24.05.2025 | Open The Vault | 7.0 | STARDOM is the #1 Joshi Promotion in the world and my second favorite Japan-based wrestling promotion in the world right now. They had a good 2024 and managed to keep a consistent level throughout the whole year. 2025 so far for STARDOM has been about the same. A good consistent level that STARDOM manages to have most of the time in general. Talented wrestlers, entertaining shows, A good promotion. [***3/4] |

| 42 | 20.05.2025 | sanjuro | 10.0 | No promotion is perfect, and the slow waste of two top stables in Queen's Quest and Odeo Tai clearly stand out as sustained low points of booking, but Stardom is still the most consistently rewarding new company of the 21st century and easily the strongest joshi promotion since AJW. Perhaps no other company in history has done a better job of future-proofing itself to the unpredictability of roster turnover. Stardom has lost, as of early 2025, all of its initial major stars and standout rookies to signings by rivals, injuries, and retirement, yet no matter the upheaval they are always able to move up workers into the spotlight without losing more than one or two steps (and even then only briefly). Really, from mid 2015 up to the present, every year has great matches, compelling stories, and a simple but coherent sense of direction. My only real criticism is how behind they are at uploading their back archive onto their streaming service. |

No other promotion -- not WWE, not AEW, not NJPW, not anything -- even comes close to delivering the emotional intensity, elite in-ring quality, and sheer athletic storytelling that STARDOM consistently provides. From legends like Mayu Iwatani and Io Shirai to the new golden generation led by Utami Hayashishita, Syuri, Giulia, Tam Nakano, and AZM, this company has created a legacy of real wrestling excellence. Every match feels like it matters. The factions, the rivalries, the long-term storytelling -- it's all crafted with care and passion. These women don't just wrestle -- they live this. The training, the striking, the pacing, the selling -- it's world-class. STARDOM proves that Joshi wrestling is not only on par with any men's division in the world -- it surpasses it. Thank you, STARDOM, for giving us something pure, fierce, and deeply human. Thank you for showing the world that women's wrestling can be both beautiful and brutal. This is my home. My heart. My favorite promotion on Earth. Joshi Wrestling forever. Shine forever. 10/10. |

| 49 | 01.05.2025 | ChocoboSage | 10.0 | This promotion has consistently been my favourite since 2017, amazing roster of talent that never seems to weaken even when their top stars leave or retire.New talent are signed or brought in as rookies that hit the ground running. The best womens promotion in the business without question. **UPDATE** Still the best womens promotion in the world, but after their biggest show ever. They've lost their most popular star in Tam Nakano and the Icon of Stardom Mayu Iwatani. It's a strange world we're in now, when Stardom exists without either Tam or Mayu. But they built up enough stars to keep the ship sailing. I just hope Taro Okada has plans and pushes the talent that have been waiting for so long. Namely Momo Watanabe and Hazuki. |

It helps that I know Japanese, because they sadly do not do a good job of presenting their strengths to an English audience. Love the concept of post-match promos cut by the wrestlers in the ring. Mina Shirakawa was my gateway drug, but Sayaka Kurara has made me a full-fledged fan of STARDOM. Edit: dinged them a point after the Okinawa PPV. Pricing a general house show level show as a PPV to recoup their losses on this bad idea left a bad taste in my mouth. I hope it is only a one-off. |

I've been watching for around 6 years now and the only real ongoing issue has been the booking (a much needed update of Stardom World aside). From the creep in the hat pushing his personal favorites to the moon (while holding back others), to the current booking which is, at times, quite frankly, fucking appalling (see the QQ / Oedo Tai feud which should have ended perfectly after the cage match, only for them to continue it on and ruin the whole thing). At times it feels like its been booked by someone with 0 knowledge or experience of pro wrestling (because it likely is) The wrestling is often of the highest quality though, hence the high rating. RECOMMENDED |
| 90 | 17.02.2025 | StardomIcon | 10.0 | World Wonder Ring Stardom serves as a perfect example of "struggle through sport", as the promotion's roster is not only incredibly deep, it also features the highest quality women's wrestling the world. From the speed to the strikes to the finishing moves, I'd argue a lot of men couldn't keep up with many of Stardom's female athletes. Some western wrestling fans have qualms about the size of Japanese female wrestlers, claiming it's hard to suspend their disbelief when a 120 pound woman is winning matches. To that, I say wrestling has always been a battle between David and Goliath. Anyways, there are many all-female professional wrestling promotions in Japan with Stardom being the biggest. The promotion give their wrestlers the proper time to shine, as many matches last 10+ minutes or even end in draws due to the 15 minute time limit being reached. The speed, the strikes, and the chemistry the wrestlers have with each other is what sets Stardom apart from any other promotion in the world. All the wrestlers have wrestling fundamentals down, while the majority of the roster knows how to land a stiff looking strikes and execute painful looking submission holds. Wrestlers execute finishing moves that look innovative and painful, not gimmicky and clunky, . The chemistry in tag matches, particularly when three or more teams are involved, is beyond anything I've seen in western wrestling promotions. Most of their shows are quite small and take place in venues about the size of a high school gymnasium, so I would recommend starting with one of their PPV events like All Star Grand Queendom, which usually net an audience of about 5, 000 people. The production values jump significantly during these events and are free with their monthly subscription several days after the event concludes. Storylines can be a bit tough to follow as the promotion has stopped subtitling promos recently, but hopefully this will be addressed soon. Although Stardom lost a fair amount of main event talent over the past few years to WWE and Marigold, they still have a great deal of depth and put on amazing PPVs with stacked cards. Stardom World is worth subscribing to for Mayu Iwatani, Syuri, Tam Nakano, AZM, and Natsupoi matches alone. What's more, an archive of 12+ years of matches that include the likes of Kairi, Io Shirai, and Meiko Satomura easily makes the subscription worth it. Stardom is my favorite promotion, but it has flaws, mainly due to their parent company, Bushiroad. The parent company killed a lot of momentum Stardom built in 2021-2023 and the promotion should be larger than what it is today. They've overbooked wrestler into injuries, failed to invest in a proper streaming service, and seem to cut corners with Stardom whenever possible. This led to the original founder of Stardom, Rossy Ogawa, leaving the company to start his own promotion called Marigold, taking a handful of talented wrestlers with him, including Giulia and Utami Hayshita. It's a shame, as Stardom experienced amazing organic growth over the past few years, reminiscent of mid 90s ECW. Still, Stardom is worth watching. |
