206.02.2026JL2.0I missed the reigns of Brian Cage and Ricky Starks, along with everything in ECW, so I cannot really comment on those but from 2023 onward it just didn't seem to have many positives. It felt like something that was consistently holding Hook back, then Jack Perry briefly held it as part of a short-lived gimmick which did not suit him at all, and its last hurrah was with a Chris Jericho which much of the audience had already turned on (granted, he could have been worse with it). At least RVD showed up in AEW in part to challenge for this title.

1717.12.2024ItsAllAWorkAnyway3.0This isn't a commentary on Taz's legacy (or Hook's for that matter), but this was really just a vanity title that has been used on occasion as a heat device for TV. Plus its not fun having to explain to certain company what "FTW" means.

2915.08.2024Pigeon Scratch7.0Call me crazy, but I actually like this belt quite a bit, mainly for two reasons. First reason is the original conception of this belt, which was the storyline between Taz and Douglas. It was one of the most creative ways to book around Douglas' injury riddled championship match, and putting Taz over more than he already was at that point. Of course, most of the criticism and low score ratings of this belt come from its revival in AEW. While I understand some of the criticisms, because believe me I have them too especially more so with some of the booking from this year alone (looking at you, Chris), I genuinely just think this belt is a lot of good fun. It's also elevated Hook considerably, who I personally like quite a bit and has a long career in his future. Is there a ceiling to this belt? Absolutely. Does it miss the point of what the FTW belt was back in the day? Yes, and that's a shame. Do I think this belt will last much longer? No. But fuck, I think people need to have a little bit more fun with belts. Also, I think the belt looks good, haha.

4104.05.2024MarcusRNM1.0Genuinely one of my least favorite titles ever. Whether it be the design of it, which is one of the ugliest belts I've ever seen, or the run it's had in AEW as almost a prop it's a shitty title with a shitty design that shouldn't exist. It also doesn't help that the current champion is Chris Jericho.

4815.04.2024crs2855.0This is a hard title to rate. It made more sense in ECW where Tazz had a legitimate claim to why he thought he should be world champ. The AEW version just seems to get forgotten as AEW has a lot of belts. Match quality of defenses is very varied as some are great and some are the opposite.
4902.04.2024josh man 6ixx6.0it has its charm but it is mostly a propbelt. the difference is that it is defended every once in a while and the matches are sometimes bangers. so other than banger matches it doesn't contribute much but it adds to Hook's character and we got a halfway decent hook and jack Perry rivalry because of it. you could even say technically this belt was the reason for cm punks return to the WWE. So in all a fun prop title but not much beyond that.

5329.01.2024Moose Nugget3.0This title made sense when Taz introduced in ECW, because Shane Douglas was dogging him so Taz had his own fake world title. I never got the point of AEW's version of it, other than Tony Khan loves titles and belts. It's hardly defended as is, by people who are active on the roster.

5624.12.2023wwetitlefan27.0The title has always been a prop mostly, but that's kind of it's purpose, like the Million Dollar title, but when it is defended, it's always a good match. The circumstances of how it was reintroduced couldn't have been more perfect. When Taz first introduced it, it was because Shane Douglas was unable to defend his title due to injury and it was reintroduced because Brian Cage (Taz's client at the time) couldn't challenge Jon Moxley for the world title, due to Moxley taking care of his sick wife. I get that people hate it's just a prop title, but that's the whole point of the belt. If it was recognized as a real belt, it would lose it's meaning.

6203.10.2023charliefiction6.0This is a fun sub-plot belt that's used somewhat sporadically on AEW programming that now carries a history and lineage of fun and carnage. Not all of the defenses are serious affairs, but that's not the point of an "outlaw" title in the first place. Its history with Team Taz (Cage --> Starks --> Hook) was well-booked and fun, and the current angle where Hook/Jack Perry intertwine its history with ECW legacy-keepers is a clever diversion. I'm not quite sure why this title is so maligned by wrestling fans. It serves a clear purpose and carries a clear history with it that harkens back to a bygone era that remains venerated.

6526.09.2023nzx3zeppeli7.0Although the title has its low points at times, I think it's safe to say that the overall reputation that this title has been good over the past few months. While guys like Ricky Starks and HOOK have definitely contributed in their efforts to regain its glory days in ECW, I want to applaud Jack for making it such a big deal leading up to All In. For me, in order to capture that "outlaw" gimmick that it's supposed to have, the title needs to be defended more exclusively in the house shows AEW is running and in select independents (if HOOK is willing).

6731.08.2023joaosousa209.0Absolutely love this title since day 1. The legacy from the peak ECW, the outlaw vibes, the nostalgy bringed to the modern era. The fact that Hook, son of Taz (the inventor of the title), is carrying the FTW champion is so awesome and wrestling wise (almost long term booking destiny). AEW keep bringing some jewels from the past to keep older fans happy, you gotta respect that. If, somehow, some ECW wrestlers still got involved in this title picture like RVD x Jack Perry, is a huge bonus point for me.
6829.08.2023Leth994.0ECW's version of the title should be a 5 because Taz deserved the world title and not this consolation price. The AEW version deserves a 3 because Cage, Starks and Hook rarely used it. At least Jack Perry can be an okay champion...wait, he lost it? ! I even watched that match yesterday! Now that's sad.

7124.08.2023benh24.0It was good in ECW because it served a purpose for Taz in his big storyline, but really a "title" like this should serve as a one off thing for that type of thing. Even by the end of its run in ECW it had had its shelf life, so to bring it back in AEW the way they did was absolutely baffling. Maybe if they built Hook for a few years and created a situation whereby he needed a Fuck The World title then it might have worked but they've absolutely killed the concept and it needs to go away forever now.
7211.08.2023GonzoAppreciator7.0I haven't watched much ECW so I can't judge anything Taz did with the belt there but just going of it's time in AEW I quite like the belt. Cage's reign was kinda nothing but Starks and Hook did a lot of great stuff with the belt and I'm really optimistic when it comes to Jack Perry's current reign.

7414.07.2023Shan168.0It was 3 during Cage reign bumped to 9 during Starks reign and it is 8 during Hook reign nowadays. This app is making me write 200 words, so ignore this part of the comment lol, now let me bid adou goodbye and bang goodnight

7815.06.2023TheLegend277.0Although it is just mainly used as a prop, it elevates the talent and makes them look more credible and definitely cooler than them without the belt (Case in point, Ricky Starks and Hook).

8011.05.2023Spanky10.0Very cool Awesome Belt. Thats really all I have to say but I have to keep typing because I have to write at least 100 characters. Taz is amazing and so is Hook. Great belt. Really cool belt. This app sucks lol. Fans take stuff way to seriously like why so many zeros ya know. Cagematch is making me put 300 characters.

8318.04.2023coppercowries4.0A prop title that's seldom defended and is mostly just mentioned on commentary as a talking up point. Like the International title, this belt needs a clearer identity. Even though the belt should remain unofficial within the company, it still needs something distinct. A hardcore stipulation built in perhaps? Maybe the challenger can choose their own special stip for matches that can't be refused? Or perhaps a belt exclusively for the younger stars, for bragging rights, that aren't ready for the regular title scene?
8407.04.2023BroodiestCone10.0This belt is a prop much like the Million Dollar Championship. It's not a true AEW Championship. The purpose is to show that AEW is willing to make sure that there are always extra storyline opportunities at their disposal. This title doesn't get defended often but it isn't meant to. The best means only as much as the current "champion". Edit: Giving the championship to HOOK was the perfect choice for the title. I wonder how long the plan was before they pulled the trigger to give him this title. It allows him to carry his father's legacy while also being an individual.

8630.03.2023Okaro1434.0Cage was an okay Champion but Starks brought it back to prominence and he deserves credit for being a great Champion. Hook became the 3rd Champion and while his booking is still fine, the FTW Championship feels like an afterthought now, especially with the introduction of the All Atlantic ( now International) Championship. We need a unification Title and the FTW should be retired.

9715.08.2022CROWNS UP Jannis0.0This championship is not even recognized... I don't see the point. It didn't help either Brian Cage nor Ricky Starks being a fake champion. It won't help Hook too. Just bury that thing and concentrate on your real Championships. Because AEW has really much championships.
9829.07.2022steviecw7.0Good banter title. Worked great for Taz on his route to the ECW World Heavyweight Championship and with many asterisks is part of Sabu's legacy (certainly not the most questionable part of it either). Reviving a cool part of ECW in AEW that's so distinctly Taz feels cool (like it's not a bad nostalgia Sandman tag match or whatever). While Ricky Starks and Brian Cage are more than deserving the champions, if the reigns were going to be a year plus, I do think they should come with more defenses (Starks of course was the more prolific even with months in between some matches), otherwise I'd prefer to see more title changes. Personally I enjoy seeing a European Championship style tertiary title with guys lower in the pecking order getting a moment to shine but certainly others would disagree with an understandable feeling that a title for all isn't much of a title. Regardless, if Hook was the destination for this title then that is absolutely perfect. Good talent have fought for this belt, all of whom would have been good champions: Justin Credible, Will Hobbs, Jungle Boy, Sonny Kiss, Chuck Taylor, Matt Sydal, Swerve Strickland, Danhausen and others.
