[8.0] "Als King Cuerno bei Lucha Underground mit dem "Jäger"-Gimmick fand ich ihn von Tag eins an richtig geil. Spätestens als die Jagd auf die Titel eröffnet wurde, hatte er einfach massive Relevanz in den Shows und seine LU-Matches waren durchgehend bockstark. Nachdem man wusste, wer unter der Maske steckt, habe ich mich extrem über sein Debüt bei NXT gefreut. Seine erneute Demaskierung dort hatte leider ziemlich wenig Impact. Seinen anschließenden Cruiserweight-Title-Run als Santos Escobar fand ich dann aber wieder richtig stark. Im Main Roster ist er danach leider nicht so gut eingeschlagen, wie man es eigentlich hätte machen können (was aber definitiv am Booking lag). Trotzdem waren alle seine Matches bei NXT/WWE absolut stabil. Egal ob mit oder ohne Maske, der Typ hat einfach eine brutale Ausstrahlung und ich hätte ihn super gerne in höheren Card-Regionen gesehen."
[6.0] "Everything he did before WWE was great, I was a huge fan of his CMLL work but he hasn't done much since joining WWE. His faction was a complete charisma vaccum, but it's not his fault. WWE gave him, and his group nothing to work with resulting in them having zero character. I hope his AAA run goes well."
"Just commenting here to say this: Wow, that exit from WWE didn't last long lol! How long was he a free agent for, 1 1/2 days? That's even shorter than the brief time Truth was gone earlier this year, a record I thought could never be broken. I'll wait to see what these supposed "addressed creative concerns" lead to before giving a proper rating, but rn I'd give him a 4/10. He's very very mid from what I've seen since getting into WWE; hopefully that changes for the better."

As the son of lucha libre legend El Fantasma, Escobar carries himself with the pride of a legacy performer, but he's also carved out his own identity, especially since adapting his style for a global audience. While his work in Mexico as El Hijo del Fantasma showed his high-flying chops, it was in NXT--especially as leader of Legado del Fantasma--where he truly blossomed. Escobar carries himself with poise and confidence, delivering promos in both English and Spanish with a calm intensity that feels authentic. In the ring, he's more methodical than many of his lucha counterparts, often working a more grounded, psychology-driven style. That sets him apart in a good way--it shows he's not just relying on speed or spectacle but understands how to tell a story bell to bell. His NXT Cruiserweight Title reign was solid, and his matches with the likes of Isaiah "Swerve" Scott and Jordan Devlin showed he can go with a variety of opponents. On the main roster, however, his momentum has been inconsistent. While his alliance with Rey Mysterio and later heel turn offered some character depth, WWE hasn't fully committed to pushing him as a top singles star. Still, he remains compelling to watch and brings an important cultural presence to the roster. Escobar may not be at the top of the card yet, but he has all the tools to climb higher if given the right opportunities"
[7.0] "Solid in-ring, but for whatever reason he just doesn't connect with the crowd. Can't exactly put my finger on it, because when you watch him, he can have a fantastic match. His mic work is decent, so it's hard to say why he isn't over with the fans. He seems to be highly rated online, but crowds just don't really react for the guy."
[6.0] "I don't really think it's his fault, but he hasn't really shown much character wise, there is always a notable lack of crowd reaction whenever his music comes on. However, I do think he has put on some really good matches and it's difficult to fault him wrestling wise"
[4.0] "Forgettable wrestler. He is terrible on the mic, and is boring in the ring. I really couldn't care less about him. You can't be a good wrestler if you look up to Rey Mysterio. Especially won't be good if you aspire to be him one day. Then he has a stupid, boring faction, that he can't carry. Boring in the ring and on the mic. 4/10"
[6.0] "He's just not that interesting anymore compared to when he was still working as King Cuerno. His matches aren't really exciting and he's far from being a complete package that could compensate boring and stale matches. Even as a masked Luchador he wasn't really one of the elite guys in my opinion."
[5.0] "Whether it's in NXT or on the Main Roster, I don't really understand his place. Although he is capable of some pretty cool aerobatics, I find him quite boring in the ring, not always very consistent, his performances are not very balanced, we go from very decent to almost bad from one match to the next. In addition, his abilities on the microphone are really limited, as is his acting. I can't tell if it's a chance for him to be part of the team to help him shine a little or if it's a detriment to him."
[5.0] "I might have missed something because I can only base my opinion on what I've seen from him in 2023, but Santos does nothing for me. He's fine albeit a bit boring in the ring, but as a personality he hasn't done anything to win me over. Most of 2023 consisted of him being a generic heel, and offers nothing as a babyface '"
[8.0] "Santos Escobar is very good in the ring and on the mic, yet doesn't feel "main event" like other wrestlers with these qualities like Eddie Guerrero, Shawn Michaels, Kurt Angle, Randy Savage, CM Punk, etc. He is likely a very good upper midcarder, and there is nothing wrong with that"
[8.0] "A guy who definitely works best as a singles wrestler rather as part of a group, but who's matches overall are always fun to watch thanks to his impressive athleticism and fun moveset. Also great on the mic, especially given English isn't his first language."

[8.0] "Enjoyed Escobar a crossed multiple promotions. His in-ring abilities and charisma have always been good. Mic skills are not perfect but English is not his first language so he gets a pass. Admittedly thought he was good in Lucha Underground but he was not a standout on the crowded roster. NXT was much better with him leading Legado del Fantasma. Main roster decision to turn him face and pair him with Rey has benefitted him a lot."

Feel like his promos/charisma get more praise than they should because he speaks English so well (which...fair play, way more talented than me and super impressive but still...). Meanwhile his in ring....also never got the hype. Smooth but not spectacular. Maybe its unfair of me to be judging him on watching him for a couple of years in a foreign country right at the back end of his career but I can only rate on what I've seen and he's good but not great in my opinion"

As complete a wrestler in all the wwe from his in ring work to his promos the dude should be a star for them despite his age. His run with Legado DeL Fantasma ha been great from what I've seen and him as the leader is good as expected. Wwe has handled him very well so far and I hope it continues because he deserves a big run on top"

Ganz einfach er ist super Charismatisch, bringt eine super Statur mit und hat dafür auch noch eine extrem hohe Technik am start und seine fucking Geschwindigkeit, ALTER man muss sich mal das Geschoss an Suicide Dive reinziehen den er immer zeigt, einfach wahnsinn.."
