To say you're a top worker of your generation and still didn't fulfil your potential is a wild thing to say of any wrestler but I think it holds true for Ibushi. He's had some of my favourite matches but hasn't had that story or moment that makes me think "wow, he's the guy". Sure there's the golden lovers story with Kenny, but I don't think that hit it's crescendo and sadly I don't think it will given his injury problems. |

His matches during early 2010s NJPW are so insane, he takes the most craziest bumps i have ever seen, Ibushi remained to be good well into the late 2010s and early 2020s. But suffered a really bad injury while facing Okada in the G1 Climax finals and never was quite the same. After that he wrestled while injured against Naomichi Marufuji and injured himself further, Nowadays he's looking a lot better and wrestling a lot better. But sadly he got Injured badly wrestling Josh Alexander in AEW and it seems it might be it for him. |

His strikes are stiff, his moves capture your attention, he wrestles in an amazing way and it's a shame he's injured and it had seemed like he started to slow down even before that, he has a great look as a professional wrestler, and is in compelling stories mainly with Omega, truly a gift to wrestling, Michaels could wrestle with a broom, Ibushi could wrestle with a doll, he's also hilarious in some clips I've seen, and we'll never forget Ibushi wrestling anywhere, anytime. A 10 from me. |

He is nothing short of incredible in the ring, although he often sacrifices psychology and storytelling to make the match as exciting as possible. The last 5 years have been really rough for him as he has been constantly injured and has never given his body enough time to heal. Its really sad to see because he has destroyed his body and it looks like it is in jeopardy whether or not he will ever return to wrestling. Despite all this, he still gets a 10 because he has had some of the highest highs in pro wrestling. He has one of the best Wrestle Kingdom match catalogues ever and was one of the best wrestlers in the world from 2018-2021. He is crazy in the ring and extremely devoted to wrestling |

I do hope Ibushi recovers well from his injury so he can come back for one final run, hopefully alongside Kenny Omega. |

He's also not at story telling since he always has the blank face on with no enthusiasm. The most overrated wrestler ever. |

He's up there as my favorite pro-wrestler from his generation, but my God it was a struggle to watch him destroy his body the way he did. His matchguide since 2021 really tells you the story. He will never be the wrestler he used to be and he should just save himself from further injury at this point. He really was the most physically impressive, good looking wrestler I've seen. Genuinely depressing the way things turned out. On his best days, he had some of the greatest matches ever. I will always remember his Wrestle Kingdom matches with Kazuchika Okada, Shinsuke Nakamura and Jay White. He holds a special place in my heart as a wrestling fan, I just wish he slowed down and knew when to call it quits. |

And although Ibushi's "star power" is exaggerated, to put it mildly, he has always been an important part of wrestling. His time at DDT is probably my favorite. Wild, bright, athletic and incredibly technical. Kota is definitely one of the most gifted wrestlers that I've seen, and when he was an underdog in his native promotion, he was sincere in the ring and it was much more interesting to watch him than the terminator from NJPW. Everyone knows the pros and cons of the Ibushi style, but it seems to me that over time he began to overdo it and became cooler about psychology. Many people will tell you that Ibushi is completely devoid of emotions and does not know how to show them in the ring, the psychology in his matches is disgusting, but I tell you that with the right guys everything works as it should, and his match against Jay White at WK is still one of my favorites and proof that Ibushi knows how to play good matches with emotions. Even considering that I already hate this style of big matches and I consider many of the Kota's matches to be overrated, I would give him a 9 overall if it weren't for the last few years. Honestly, I don't rate Ibushi as a person, I rate him as an employee and, by the way, a mentor in his dojo, who wrestled being injured, with an unknown wound/infection, and discharges himself from the hospital ahead of schedule. This man sabotaged his matches with his own hands, and although I respect his dedication and love for wrestling, which knows no bounds, really. After all, not many people will look for the right doctors to be allowed to wrestle with injury, because you love and respect your opponent so much. However, his work ethic is hurting not only him, but also the audience, and performing at Marvelous with something on his back is a blatant act of disrespect for other employees. He also sets a bad example for other wrestlers with his attitude towards the body as a coach. I'm sorry, but for me it really hits his legacy as a wrestler. |

Kota Ibushi is gifted since his birth, "Ibushi" is such a rare name in Japan and he got lucky not only with that name, but also with the incredible talent plus with passion and love for that sport. Probably no one else in the world was better than him during his prime, and I ain't talking nonsense or something I don't freaking believe, that shit is for real man. He was a DEMON, a MONSTER, a KILLER, a DEMON, a MURDER during his prime, whatever you call might be right, he was gorgeous at each single drop of what he can call wrestling. Don't matter the opponent, he always would give his best in ring until his body was almost fading into darkness. And that is the reason why he dropped so much. Understandable, but still hurts. Probably it will always hurts. |
