The Super Smash Brothers were among the best of the Canadian indie crop alongside their more successful contemporaries, their run in Reseda feuding with the Bucks is one of the first things I think of when I think peak PWG, and yet they never got their due for years and years. Then when AEW came along, Uno has stepped up every single time he's been called to from the beginnings of Dark Order to backstage gags with Brodie Lee and company to his connection to Hangman to excellent singles TV matches (particularly against Danielson & Moxley) and of course more great tag work (with Grayson or otherwise). Despite all this he's written off as one of the vestigial legacy roster members by many fans, and I just don't get it. Face or heel, bully or underdog, I think Uno always delivers. |

He's run in AEW especially in 2020s help elevate his status and he's able to go in the ring showing off and some of his moves can be goofy at times nut still get a laugh outta me. Plus, his legendary teamwork with Stu Grayson can't go underlook as their an amazing team. Currently, I feel Uno is floating in the low middle card when he's capable of going beyond that ceiling. |

He'll catch an opponent's kick, swing their leg towards the ref where the ref...holds it so Uno can deliver a neckbreaker? That's perfectly fine on the indies but when you're with a major promotion and on national television that bullshit has got to go. That said, he's a competent tag worker and he and Stu Grayson had good chemistry and were probably good enough for a title run in 2020 because of how hot the Dark Order was then. He's also a valuable asset to AEW behind the scenes and especially promoting the video games. He puts in a lot of work on the official Twitch channel as well as his own personal one. For that he deserves a good rating. |
