[8.0] "It was perfect considering it was only 8 minutes long. I had a great time with this match and the story they told. Doug Williams is the purest definition of pure wrestling (no pun intended), so he can outwrestle anyone in the mat, but even if Chris Sabin is not as good as Williams on that style, his explosiveness can give him a chance to win the fight. For the first five minutes Doug Williams is working over Sabin's neck, countering Sabin every time he tries to scape. It was so fun seeing him hurting Sabin's neck in every possible way. I liked how he used his knees or how he transformed a headlock into a sort of bridging mutalock. It was also cool how he countered a rollup attempt, the same that Punk did on the previous match, into one of his own. He continues working on the mat showing everything he can do, for example on the classic head scissors scape where you put your weight over your neck, Williams grabbed him and did some mini jumps. And that added into his knee drops and the Bombs Scare for a nearfall. After that Willams goes to the top rope again, but Sabin crotches him and then rolls out of a senton bomb attempt. After that Sabin shows his fire and his explosive action with some nice moves, for example the springboard dropkick. Then he tries suplexing Williams, but as his neck is damaged he has to do a neckbreaker. He is able to counter the Chaos Theory and hit a springboard Tornado DDT and a sitout DVD, but in the end Williams is able to catch him in the corner and hit the Chaos Theory for the win. I love Doug Williams, he is great. It was short as memorable."

Unsurprisingly the more technically adverse wrestler won, and this the last time we Sabin in ROH for a year while he tears it up in TNA. Three and a Half Stars out of Five."
[7.0] "For only eight minutes, this was a lot of fun. Doug Williams is a joy to watch here, and Sabin has an impressive performance in his own right. The action is very smooth and fluid, and I really liked how Sabin sold his neck by changing up his offence to demonstrate the impact of the injury. The finish also made perfect sense and fit in well with the work Doug had put into weakening Sabin's neck. A very tightly executed and easily understood story that was very well told given the short runtime - hard to get much better in eight minutes."
