I say that because this match had quite a few messy, sloppy moments that he made look really good. The biggest was a sequence early on with Marufuji "hitting" I think 10 strikes, and only 1 or 2 of them looked like they came close to connecting. But also, compared to the other singles match earlier in the show between the two men's respective partners, this one was much more even and made both men look good. The finish was creative, and even if it did seem to come out of nowhere I thought it worked and could easily act as a reference for them to callback on in future contests. |
